All they need to do is set the level requirement for multiple sends to a higher level. I would bet $50 if they set the requirement to lvl2 it would be way less than half the spam.

I'd suggest a rule on how many different players you can /t per minute depends on your lvl. Lvl 1 is 1 person per minute with as many replys as you wish to keep conversation going. That's more than enough, seeing how you reach higher level quite fast and it prevents spam, since you would never /t 70 people at lvl 70 unless youre a bot they could implent a cap for 15 people per minute unless they are in your guild/grp/raid - that would be a start to prevent the /t spamming. For the trade channel i have no idea, but that's a lesser problem tbh.

Unfortunately, that's probably the thing they're the least likely to buy.

Banning something is what you call in game design a "crisis point". Your character is gone. All you've invested - in time AND cash - is gone forever. Do you want to start again? The odds of that are not that good.

As for the main topic itself, it's nice to see that Blizzard's taking some out-of-game steps to curtail this in addition to the in-game changes.
Yeah, Laziness and added time consuming real life

Yes its an issue, Blizzard wants you to do the content. Whats the point of creating content if you're just going to have a bot do it for you.

So Blizzard screwed up and made a bunch of un-fun rep grinds, but there has been a definite evolution in the style of repeatable content. You can see this from how rep grinds have evolved from Wintersaber -> Silithus/Cenarian Circle -> Ogrila/Skyguard.

Yeah the new daily quests are absolutely amazing for gold/rep and a huge improvement over previous grindfests. Its sad so few people know/care about them, its an easy way to make 100-300g/day with just an hour or twos worth of work, more than enough for most people to sustain whatever their activity is (kara, pvp, 25 mans).

Some of the dailies aren't fun (the 10 netherdrake tokens is frustrating, I'm glad the races arent dailies), and they need to add another 10-15 dailies in the game so people have a much bigger pool to choose from - at the moment, I believe there are a total of 14 dailies in the game, although 9 of them require 300 riding skill (Netherwing). I'm sure the next major content patch will add more dailies though.

IMO this is all driving to the point where inflation in the game is going to be huge, and everyone is going to be sitting on 3-4k of gold. I know its impossible to believe now that can ever be true, but as more and more dailies are added and consumables move towards turnin-based items it seems the money sinks are much less. All a good thing, not a good time to be a gold seller now in WoW.

Slight clarification to spronk: there are 7 non-300 riding skill daily quests I'm aware of: two in Skettis (bomb eggs, escort prisoner), four in Blade's Edge (Apexis Eminations, Wrangle more Aether Rays, Bomb them Again, and one having to do with trapping 15 demons (starts at honored)), and one in Thrallmar (Hellfire Fortifications - the PVP quest). But yeah, there need to be even more. I agree completely with the people who say these are very nice addition to the game in terms of money inflow and something different to do.

These quests have been a godsend for me - I was stuck at around 3000g for a month or two before the patch - slowly going up, but slowly. Since the patch has hit, though, I've made about 2500g from the dailies, new quest chains, and sales of harvested herbs on the AH (harvested from the dead bodies of those big Forest Ragers in Skettis!). So from that perspective I give the patch a big thumbs up.

As for the inflationary pressure these quests add, yeah, there is some - however, I don't know if it's going to be as big as people seem to be thinking. There are many moneysinks which are not subject to inflation at level 70: repairs and purchasing your epic mount skill/epic mounts. The prices of those items won't change regardless as to how much money is pumped into the system. Everything else, however, will see some inflation over time.
