Our hunter in particular seems low to me. He had a resto shaman dropping GoA, and a feral druid as his buffs. One leatherworker drumming his group.

Our physical dps had CoR, Bshout, Faerie Fire, Enhance Shaman. Asraki has the only glaive (MH). I'm curious what they could be missing.

There were 3 drums in the Melee group, 2 in one caster group, and 3 in the other.

There was no Curse of Shadows, which hurt a bit, but with only two locks, and 4 mages, it was the first one to go. Also, the MS warrior was prot for a year in raiding, and fury before that, so he was literally learning to slam dps as we were wiping.
Kick a mage, get a 3rd lock.
Hunter DPS is fine, he seemed to be on Scorpid Sting duty anyway.
A ret pala would give you more raid benefits, specially the hunter, than the 2nd elemental shaman imho.

If anyone has anything constructive to add feel free. Sometimes we really catch a bump in the road at mother and council. Unfortunately i don't have the wws for mother, but here's the council and the bosses preceding mother.

Your hunter does seem shockeningly low for a beastmaster, but there's a few things we can do to resolve that.

First off, he's obviously using a 1:1 rotation for his shots, likely a castsequence=3 macro of sorts. Research in the BM Hunter Mechanics thread have shown better results from a 3:2 rotation instead. He can find and read all about this at http://elitistjerks.com/f31/t11420-h...mastery_bible/.

Secondly, you seem to have him in a Meteor Slash sponge group. Hunters have no way of preventing pushback from getting hit and it'd be helpful to have him in a side group instead where he is not getting hit so he is not clipping any shots.

Lastly, he needs to time and use his cooldowns more, I'm only seeing 2 TBW's and that's too low for a 6 minute fight, for example. Gearwise he seems fine, though that love for Wicked Noble Topaz's or Pyrestones should be taken care of - Delicate Living Rubies/Delicate Crimson Spinels are generally better for red slots statswise, and they scale better with BoK too.

Small edit after:
I'm not a pro on most of the other classes, but you seem to have 3 DPS shamans in there, 2 elementals and an enhancement. I'm not sure on what numbers each spec should be pulling in general, but that is a lot of hybrids doing comparatively low dps - I feel personally you have one too many in there and I'd sub one out for a lock or mage instead, or a Survival Hunter (see below).

Your rogues and slam warrior would also very much benefit from a Survival hunter. You seem to have the group set up to give your hunters a feral and a GoA shaman, so I'd recommend trying to include one next time.

Yea ideally you'd get a 3rd warlock for cos or possibly have both be fire/destruction. Your hunters output is pretty low particularly with a pretty nice group(ideally you'd have a surv hunter too). Your warrior should be butting out some more dps too. Your mages are doing pretty good, they could download scorchio and try and get a bit more dps. Your spriests/warlock where a bit low(probably do to no cos). Also a ret pally might be nice for the extra buffs.

Yeah, in the end our problem was mostly overcoddling the tanks. We pretty much set up the whole raid for survivability to learn the healing/tank swaps and that ended up gimping our DPS terribly when we swapped to buffed tries. We fiddled things around to your recommendations (especially the hunter/LotP thing) and managed a pretty comfortable kill at 6 seconds before enrage.

Many thanks for the feedback, it proved invaluable!

Yeah, we're lamenting having two fully geared destro locks go casual over the illifarm period, and we're not willing to recruit a bad warlock (I know, how can warlocks be bad?) The benefit of having the shadow destro lock go from shadow to fire simulated about 100 dps higher, whereas the two shadow priests having 1 lock's ISB was around 300 dps higher. The hunter was lamenting having no heroisms, but pushing two through each caster group sync'd up with all the cooldowns beautifully. One of our mages noted that during the molten fury range, our raid dps peaked at 45k or something ridiculous like that.

Regarding the too many support classes, that had occurred to me, however each shaman was buffing a group full of dps. The group compostion was:

G1: Prot warrior, Feral, Hunter, Resto (goa), Paladin (Devo)
G2: Enhance, MS warrior, Roguex3
G3: Ele shaman, SPriest, Destro, Magex2
G4: Ele shaman, SPriest, Destro, Magex2
G5: Healers with a Resto Shaman

So it seemed to me that if we dropped one elemental shaman, we might as well drop both. That didn't seem like too good of an idea so we had them both in.

We ran survival without LotP, but with GoA last week, and the numbers were less than impressive, so we put him back as BM until we can effectively regem him to all spinels (I'm looking at you, gem vendor). What value of raid dps would you put expose weakness at for our composition?

Regarding the Scorchio timing, looking at the uptime it was:

Fire Vulnerability wh ยป debuff 06:01 97.9% 2 1 (2= Gains, 1=Faded)
I'm guessing the fade was during the 9 seconds of enrage that people were running all over the place for, and the adrenaline of a first kill.

I'm curious if the survival hunter and extra Heroisms are all that we're missing from seeing our melee hit the numbers that I see on other Brutallus parses (the ones without glaive sets)

We're alliance. Subtract 200-250 DPS or so from what you're used to seeing out of your ret. Faction specific differences are fun, right?

(Look at WWS Scoreboard's top Brutallus parses for paladins. Now note that the top 15 are ALL horde. The highest alliance parse I found was 1696, roughly 200 DPS behind the top horde parse.)

Longtime lurker, first time poster...
I just joined a new guild and we're making significant progress on some easy content for us. We were doing an extra night of raiding and hit Rage (we have downed him before) and then went into BT for some "trash farming" but ended up downing Najentus. It was my first BT experience, though I've been raiding forever and playing since Open Beta. Had been on a Holy Pally up to BC and now I'm a resto druid (Daedalix).

If someone could provide some feedback on any aspect of this particular night, I'd be much obliged. Of particular interest to me would be any comments on our healing overall, especially my own performance, naturally. We're all new to working with each other and I'm not used to having this many holy priests. I suspect they aren't used to having a resto druid around very much, either.

Rage + Naj'entus WWS
Below is our second venture into BT where we downed Supremus and got to Shade's Ads. There are no Shade attempts in the parse because we didn't actually get to that portion of the fight before we all died. Included for extra comments and breadth.
Supremus + Shade Trash WWS

I did note that I didn't NS+HT at all and my Swiftmends were overheals too much. I also healed myself for an abnormally large amount on our Najentus kill. Likely due to our positioning. We were basically group healing while I rolled LBs on the tank(s) and kept myself alive.

I'd also wouldn't mind hearing feedback on anything from tanking to dps to raid makeup as well. Like I said this was our first venture into BT and we're still meshing; no doubt there are some kinks/quirks we can work on.

We killed Brutallus for the 3rd time tonight running a double feral druid tank setup and a rogue keeping up imp EA permanently which seemed to be a massive DPS buff to the physical damage classes and raid dps in general.

We managed hit 31447dps over the fight which seems to be right up there with the top kills on WWS Scoreboard with the inclusion on an alt ret pally in terrible gear who managed to do a solid 1039dps compared with our paladin who did 1600 on our first kill.

Well I've not posted a report before but we recently brought in a bunch of new guys and I was wondering if anyone could see any glaringly obvious mistakes in terms of gameplay, I've been through some of them but just generally I'm not too knowledgeable on the rotations other classes should be making/the distribution of their damage I should see. Notably if you could check the following people:

Our 3rd Brutallus kill saw him dying a few seconds before the enrage. My damage output was again lacking very badly, even though I received the bracers (unenchanted as they may have been) and Skull.

First time poster in this thread, another long time lurker. I'm looking for mainly an overall critique of the DPSers in my guild, particularly from the perspective of casters. Most of my experience is with melee toons (Feral + Rogue), and I've dabbled briefly as a shadow priest in t4 content, so I'm not the quickest or best to judge caster performance. Are there any glaring issues anyone is seeing, in terms of damage output? For reference, we're a late t5/early t6 2.4 guild, so most of us are in partial t5 or similar gearing.

Thank you in advance for any criticism or comments.

Just taking a quick look through and the big thing I saw were both of your shaman were very low for your progression. If you look at the shaman they are using way fewer stormstrikes than one would expect for the length of the fights especially Refekkie. And Refekkie's WF looks like it wore off during the Kaz'rogal kill which cost him quite a lot of dps.

Anyone know why Totemnator's stormstrike crit percentage is consistently in the teens while his melee is around 30%?

WWS Report of HKM + Gruul

Its really quite poor when an spriest can come 2nd on dps... our mages/rogues/locks/hunters are really not pulling their weight.
No, what you're experiencing is pretty normal for your gear level. Shadow priests are AMAZING at the kara/tier 4 level. Your spells do a lot of base damage, you've got access to three perfectly itemized pieces of Tier 5(and arguably a piece of tier 6, since you probably wont replace the boots until you've got access to MH/BT), plus the spellstrike set. That's five slots of Tier 5 before you even step into kara. You've peaked and it's all downhill from here. Honest. Go find an early WWS of Gruul from any top guild and you'll probably spot an spriest in the top 5.

---

So anyway. The parse: You have people standing in the 'fire' (cave-ins) for very long periods of time, you have people getting gibbed by hurtful strikes and shatters, etc. The first thing you should do is get everyone to all embrace bigwigs or deadly boss mods (Their call; it doesn't make a difference which one they use but I prefer bigwigs) and Omen. Get people into the habit of updating Omen 30 minutes before raid time; sometimes Omen is improved in ways that break backwards compatibility.

Tanks: You have two tanks eating hurtfuls: The warrior and the druid. Just run two tanks and have the third guy put on their DPS set (I suggest hartlus).

Healers: I can't be certain, but I believe your healers need to have The Talk where they divide up healing assignments. Some people just heal the tank, some people just heal the raid. Throw the booterang at healers like Lightbringer that seem confused as to whether they're there to DPS or to heal. Give the Care Bear Stare to people that simply aren't casting enough heals.

Hunters: They all need to stop using serpent sting. Like, immediately. Copying Stormerage's spec would also be encouraged. Finally, they need to embrace macros. Encourage all of your hunters to make the following macro.

#showtooltip
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast !Auto shot
/cast Steady Shot
/cast [target=pettarget, exists] Kill Command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1

Instruct them to bind it somewhere they can comfortably spam it for 5+ minutes at a time. Some prefer the mouse wheel, some prefer just binding it to the 2 button, some prefer binding it to four different keys so they can strum their fingers across the keyboard.

Mages: A lot of mage DPS comes from properly managing ones cooldowns. Figuring out when they're using them and if that was the right time takes far more effort than I'm willing to put into this, but on the surface, they look OK. Slappy and dirtyhippy are frost, the other two are fire. Soifron is a slacker that is mooching off of alki's scorches, which wouldn't be so funny except that Alki still beat him on the meters. Alki is also scorching too much; a good target is a 1:8 scorch:fireball ratio over the course of a fight for one mage. Have both of them install the mod Scorchio!, which helps manage scorches.

Shamex: Le sigh. Caster rings, among other things. Shamans are very sensitive to weapon speed. Using a weapon of less than 2.6 speed leads to a DPS loss. He is using a 1.5 speed off-hand. This wouldn't be so sad except his off-hand is a pvp weapon, so he actively chose mediocrity. Have him page a GM and ask them to refund the honor for the off-hand since he picked the wrong one. Also is one of the people that died in the fire. I wouldn't hold out much hope for this one.

Hartlus: Hartlus scored two heroisms even though he spent the entire fight in bear form. Once is cool, twice is queer.

Liiloo: They're a balance druid. They might be a very nice person...but, they're a balance druid. They will consistently hang several hundred DPS behind everyone else. Encourage them to build a feral or resto set.
Edit: I have a some time before the new South Park starts, so here we go: They need to mash their buttons a lot more. Slappy cast 119 Frost bolts, which have a 2.5 second cast time for 297 seconds spent casting. Liiloo cast 87 spells total. They spent 153 seconds casting spells or using first aid. If they don't have the mana to maintain their rotation, they need to embrace a new one. For their gear level and group setup, I think they can maintain an insect swarm/moonfire/starfire x3 rotation. If they can't maintain that, drop moonfire. If they still have a lot of extra mana, they can change starfire to wrath for more DPS.

Zaarok: Three shaman and the poor rogue still couldn't get windfury?

You're aforementioned priest also need to rethink the healing spells he actually does cast, flash spam for a priest is not optimal in well the vast majority of situations.

I've noticed something like this too, i've got 31.9% crit and should be at around 37% crit with all buffs/debuffs in place, yet i've gone over parses of attempts where i'm as low as 11%! - WWS Loading... granted this was the most extreme example, but several times i'm around 10% lower then my expected crit rate...

I've been seeing more and more of these posts, in the feral druid thread, in the Ret pally thread, the Bm hunter thread, its almost to the point where there may be something screwy going around crit wise and not just RNG shenanigens.

I'm looking for a critique of our raid in pretty much all areas I guess, although dps would be my main focus (not noticing healing or tanking problems). I believe our raid dps looks fairly solid for this stage of BT, but want to get any ideas on improving where we can - I'm never happy :-)

This WWS is from the night of our Gorefiend first-kill - I believe the kill itself is probably a good one to look at, as it was pretty clean as far as I remember. Of those present, Virion would be the only one not in our regular raid group and I already have serious concerns about his dps - comments welcome on this, also.

So overall I guess I'm looking for some analyses of our overall raid and also where individual dpsers are concerned.

In case anyone is looking at the healing figures, Rankin was the cleanse-bot for the fight.

Another person looking for feedback on our latest WWS report. I'm most interested in the DPS analysis for a few of our underperformers, though a review of our tanks and healers would be great too if anyone has the time. You can exclude the data on the Gruul wipe, our druid OT had omen bug out on her and she pulled Gruul early on and dropped, leaving us without a Hurtful soaker. My biggest concern is after a near flawless few runs in Gruul's the last 2 outings have been very sloppy. We're just starting to progess into T5 content (1 shot Lurker, haven't tried anything else yet).

WWS Borked?!

I'm trying to figure out why there is such an high inconsistency with the values I got for one of our guild hunters during MH25 this week. The dps he puts out in the report does not match what everyone using Recount ingame had. I understand minor fluxuation between reports but the values are drastically different.

Wow Web Stats

You'll notice he pushes 2k-3k dps on every boss, has a remarkably low dps time, but still tops or near tops damage done. I'm curious that the output even exceeds his theoretical max based on hunter spreadsheets. I don't discredit his performance if this is the case, but there is much inconsistency with the values I've noted in his general placing during ZA, other raids, and ingame reports.

Wow Web Stats
Other WWS and ingame reports I do not have available.

Is there an explanation for this? Is there a known hunter bug with WWS? Or is this hunter to be cloned and distributed amongst all guilds?
Again, not discrediting his performance, but the reports did cause an eyebrow to be raised.

...

Is there an explanation for this?
Just checking the type of damage he is doing and the skills his "pet" is using (Nyfe - WWS), I would assume that your enhancement shaman "Weather" is listed as a pet of your hunter. That does also explain why on every boss kill only 24 persons are present.

It was this obvious? Yes, the pet he uses is named 'Weather'.

Yes, if you check the Nyfe's skill usage it shows windfury weapon attack, earthshock, stormstrike, etc that otherwise would not show up.
