Thanks a lot Bodicea! Did Grand Collector drop any loot himself? If not, it seems kind of silly, since I take it you are able to purchase from Aether-Tech Master even before he dies? The other vendors arrive just as the event escalates in difficulty, not after you've finished something hard. Or does the Aether-Tech Master not arrive until The Grand Collector is dead?

A really quick look at Resonant Feedback on Thottbot shows a 100-yard radius AE stun (3-sec duration), a presumably 1000 damage per second, 10-sec duration effect that affects "up to 5 targets", and two weird dummy-type effects of the same name. Maybe each active mob is applying the effect to five targets? The name Resonant Feedback suggests the effect is in some way reactive to circumstances at play, so more mobs up = more damage seems plausible

(Also of note: arcane-type damage and magic-typed debuff.)

He drops an apexis crystal. Ours was promptly ninjalooted by a pug.

Also, the items from the geodes appear to be BOP based on this screenshot from the ethereum prison thread:

OK, thank you. I did see that SS in the other thread, but when I checked wowhead, it seemed to me that the Slatesteel items actually came from some of the Ethereum Prison stuff, rather than the geodes. The item database sites are showing some pieces of slatesteel as BOE and some as BOP.

It looks like there are a bunch of new rare spawn named both in Skettis and in Ethereum Prison area that drop various parts of the Slatesteel (plate), Mistshroud (mail), Skystalker's (leather), and Windchanneler's (cloth). On quick glance, it looks like a mish-mash: the legs and chest are BOE, while the bracer, boots, shoulders and girdle are BOP. This seems like the reverse of what they normally do in terms of slots. Perhaps the helms only come from the geodes? But the geodes appear to be flagged for 3 classes, so if BOP, then you might need to try a few times to get the hat you want?

Ok, here's the vid starting shortly before the boss spawns:

Forgive my absent-mindedness, there was lots of chatter in vent about the gems.

Thanks a lot! You didn't check the vendor till the guy was dead; did he not appear until then? I'm going to assume so, and update the OP.

Wowhead information on the geodes seem to suggest they're by armour type, which would make sense. http://www.wowhead.com/?search=geode

Are they effectively soulbound, ie is there some reason you can't just buy 100 of them in one sitting?

The feral druid is a different beast altogether.

Well, checking the other "Slatesteel" items, they are not unique. So you should be able to buy as many bags as you want, to try to get the stats you want.

I wonder what the difference between the large and small geodes is. I assume large is the helm. I'm guessing small is gloves. If you check slatesteel, Mistshroud, etc., it looks like the helms and gloves have not yet been seen. All the pieces except the boots are ilvl 115 (blue). The thing I'm not sure about is how they expect the new blues--especially the BOP ones--to be used. They seem underpowered compared to the effort to attain. Perhaps intended to be PvP? They seem STA-heavy.

Looks like they've got standard "of the ..." stat allocations, with 150% as much STA as other primary stats.

Yeah, I just meant that I'm only seeing ones including STA--no "wolf" etc. But maybe that's the same for all BC generics. I haven't seen any resistances on the items yet either.

I expect prefixes like "of the Invoker" (intellect, spell damage, spell crit) and "of the Prophet" (intellect, spirit, healing) are possible, even if they haven't been seen yet. My guess would be that any of the "three stat" BC prefixes will pop up on them.

Yes, I had a shield with "of the Prophet" yesterday that was far better than anything I had seen before (something like +97 healing, +3x STA, +2x INT, +2x SPI) ...and not a paladin in sight of course.
