Anyone experiencing problems with Razor mice and WoW?
I know that this thread might not be in the spirit of usual Elitist Jerk forum topics, but I have a feeling it's the only place where I have the best chance of finding someone with the same problem.
After buying it, I found that it started acting strangely after playing WoW. The problem is that when I single click the left mouse button, the computer actually picks up 2 or 3 clicks in very quick succession. This makes it very frustrating when I want to simply select something once and folders are opened when they're not supposed to, or bags are opened and then quickly closed again when playing WoW. I won't bore you with the details, but if you have this problem yourself, you'll know what I'm talking about.
What does this have to do with WoW you may be asking? Well, the problem started after I started playing WoW again about a year ago. I had bought the mouse for FPS purposes before returning to the game after a break. I raided for several months with the problem, and actually replaced the mouse after thinking it was faulty.
The problem persisted, however, but dissapeared shortly after giving up WoW again before TBC. I have again started playing, and low and behold the problem returned.
If anyone else has seen this before I would love to hear if you have managed to fix it. I have all the latest drivers for my mouse and have never found anythjing on the WoW technical forums or had any replies from posts made.
The only time I've ever seen anything similar to that is when I was playing with the razer software configurations. It has options for allowing you to adjust sensitivity for clicking as well as cursor speed. Check your profiles in there and maybe that'll catch it.
Are you using Vista, by any chance? I have a Logitech VX Revolution that did the same thing (or would ignore clicks entirely, only to throw the last 15 seconds worth of them at me at once), and I went back to XP and the problem went away. I have no idea why it would be an OS issue, but I suppose anything is possible.

Thanks in advance.
Had the EXACT same problem, annoying as hell, bought a new one and that fixed it.
No I'm not using Vista. I had a tweak about with the Razor options but nothing seemed to fix it. It seemed to fix itself and only when I wasn't playing WoW. It's completely baffling, I'm probably doomed to deal with it forever!
I have got a copperhead and no issues on it with my vista laptop. However i had some real issues with it on my main pc where i also installed the software. Sensitivity just went crazy between alt tabbing to windows and back to wow.
My advice would be to just screw the razor back software, haven't found it useful in an fps yet.
Sounds like the mouse button and/or the internal switch associated with it is worn, or mis-aligned. I had this problem with 2 Logitech MX700s after about 3 years of very heavy use - I took it apart, added a tiny drop of superglue to the bit that presses the switch, and it fixed it.
I have a diamondback and I have never experienced that problem. Sounds like an odd driver issue with WoW and if you updated to the latest drivers/software then I'd simply go buy a new mouse.
My brother has the same mouse and told me he started to experience this a while back. I'll talk to him when I get the chance as he is in his exams now.
I had a similar same problem with my Razer Diamondback (WindowsXP). It was acting funny when using the left mouse button and sometimes would completely ignore right button clicks. I traded it fpr a Logitech G5 and been happy ever after.
I never really tried to solve the problem, since I assumed that it (or: the mouse buttons) was/were broken.
Having not used the Razer mouse, I did encounter rather similar problems with my Fatality Mouse awhile back. I returned it, got a new one, and have not had the same problem. Perhaps it just has something to do with the highly configurable sensitivity levels, imo.
Sometimes gaming mice have game specific settings, like my Logitech MX518. This sounds like a problem with the debouncer (the thing that takes all the vibrations the sensor feels when you click and turns them into 1). When was the last time you updated your drivers/mouse software?

Wow! For the last 2 months I've just considered myself insane or stupid - or delusional. I've ben experiencing this as well, good to know that others are out there. I have not been able to find a fix for it yet and I really like the mouse too much to try and swap out for something else honestly.
I'd say, like many others, that this is hardware related, though I've never experienced it. I don't see how INPUT (emphasis ftw!) drivers would behave any differently depending on app, and as you say, your old one does the same thing on another puter with different drivers on a different(-ish) OS.
The guy that said he added super glue to the microswitch most likely did so to increase the height of the actual switch rather than make it less clicky. :P
If it travels .5mm from the beginning and you add .1mm (= .6mm) that could make all the difference in the world.
In any case, for the record, I have had numerous Razer mice, and only one where the buttons started acting up, namely the predecessor to the Diamondback, the Viper I think.
Right now I'm running an MX518, which is pretty much identical in hardware to the Diamondback I ran before, with modded Razer drivers, and it works flawlessly.
I played with the software a bit, and got it to not doubleclick as much, but can't seem to get rid of the problem all together. This happens not only in WOW, but LOTR, and general computer usage as well.
