Evasion isn't just about overpowers. A warrior can intercept or even fear to get a few white hits/MS in anyway, which is all it takes to squish a rogue. Evasion hardly helps. The only advantage evasion gives is in avoiding the hamstring while I'm trying to kill the warrior. If I'm trying to kill his paladin, he'll hamstring me during an intercept or from behind anyway.
I'm not the greatest rogue to live, but eh... warriors do everything better than me.
You know for a fact that me beating on you is giving you more than enough rage to do whatever it is you need to. :p

It was great pre-bc. Too bad once rogues had hit 70 their dodge had already dropped to ~20 and now evasion won't save you hardly as much.

It isnt full artistic variety, and you can turn the helm off anyways, but once upon a time you could get a general idea what spec a lot of classes were by looking at them... doubly so for warriors. Before BC, a prot warrior was obviously a prot warrior.
These days, for the rare occasion I step into some PvP, I'll keep my gorehowl out until I get into a fight -- tiered tank gear looks like tiered dps gear, and there is no way to tell by armor. Even for non set pieces... am I wearing gauntlets of martial perfection or iron gauntlets of the maiden? No way to tell, until you realize that I hit you harder with a shield than with a giant axe.
The best way to generate some aggro in PvP is to break out the ol gorehowl until people have decided what to kill. Until that first shield slam, most players will assume you suck before they guess you are prot... and they dont know they are wasting their time on the wrong target until they realize. Making all the gear look exactly the same can have a pretty big impact on PvP.
(Edit)
Well, it has a big impact on PvPing as a prot warrior... so, it doesnt really have an impact on high ranking arena teams. More of an impact on random outdoor PvP, grinding for a born-again-uber PvP trinket, or blowing off steam on a goofy just for fun/PvE spec arena team.

So, am I the only one who laughed out loud when I read the laundry list of nerfs to the Anzu fight? It's not like it was... hard...
I've done it twice now; the first time the friendly buff things didn't spawn and mana was a bit sketchy, but when we came back the things were working properly and I think the mage tanked everything including the boss for a while. Conversely we wiped to the new Ikiss several times.

its not hard if the druid is healing the encounter and has enough time to throw around rank 1 rejuvs to keep the birds going, but in a time where most druids are feral specced and probably tanking the encounter, the design of the fight itself is a bit stupid imho.
when we did it the first time we had a druid (me) healing, and another one tanking and we one-shot it. second time around we only had a feral tank and it made the encounter a bit stupid. we tried various tactics and got better and better at it (druid popping out of bear in the aoe phase instead of trying to pick up as many as possible) but overall we then just decided to pull him out of the room and move on.
also, seeing how the spell bomb is now a curse, it still seems to be designed around a resto druid. kind of a letdown considering most of the questline before, although trivial, was rather interesting in terms of playing to all the druid strengths and forms.

In pvp gear with my current spec (combat fist with lr) im at 29.xx% dodge unbuffed, next season with the new sets I can stack more agility and switch more pve gear in the open slots and ill be hitting 32-33% dodge most likely. It might not be pre tbc where I could get around 40% with lightning reflexes (didnt have naxx gear) but its still a number that is high enough to be worthwhile again.

The only reason this would be "kind of a letdown" is if you think that druids are now too good to heal. The first fight was tailored for bears, the second for cats, the third for moonkin, the final for....

That's funny, now my healing gear is going to look like I'm wearing full Paladin tier 4 while I'm actually wearing random Karazhan epics. I'll need to disable my helm graphic though...
My tanking gear, on the other hand, seems like I'll be wearing Paladin tier 4 from the waist and up, and Warrior tier 4 below that.
Definitely an improvement over puke-green Lawbringer, that's for sure, even if people end up looking even more like clones.
Edit: Looking closer, it looks more like the Dungeon 3 set.

Bleh. I think what blizzard missed out on the artwork complaints wasnt so much that everything was ugly... it was that everything looked the same.
I actually kind of like the dungoen-set recolors, they are at least mildly distinctive... but making every piece of loot out of tier-5-difficulty instances look like the tier 5 set is just awful... we have gone from all the same crappy art to all the same kinda good art... what we need is varied art, even if that means some stuff is freakin ugly.
Its going to come to a point where the only thing that determines what you look like is race and class, and maybe haircut if you turn your helm off.

Odds of looking the ugliest drops down as odds of looking like the next guy goes up. Because ugly exist only when there is beautiful to compare it to. The reverse is also true so one could say we all look as good as each other or as bad as each other... but at least i'd be as ugly as you!
