So, we know you can safely access their tooltips once some guild on the server gets to a certain phase in the Illidan encounter, where apparently NPC's use them?

They don't have a tag, such as <Black Temple>, which would lead to thinking its used in the encounter, and the stats are perfectly on-key for a new legendary. It's another tier forward past the Tier 6 weapon combo, Blade of Infamy: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30881, Blade of Savagery: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32369, but not THAT far, to belie its existence. Also, the fact it has Class: Warrior, Rogue, on it, also makes me think its a new legendary.

Anyone know anything further about these?

I think you've pretty much summed up everything that is currently known about them, courtesy of mmo-champion.

The quality of those weapons is high, but the legendary status is once again the proc. While they are clearly the best without the proc, they are just a slightly better set of weapons without it. If that proc is more than 10% though, then I would say they will live up to the overpowered standard of thunderfury.

TBH, i'm a little dissapointed that there is no successor to thunderfury, even though I know there should not be, but its good to see legendary items will continue to be made.

I can't see why the posts above (apart from Praetorians') speak of them as if they were (to become) usable by players.

It's assumed that they're player-usable because they have Classes: Warrior, Rogue in their tooltip. No reason to include that unless a player could wear them at some point.

Proc chance wouldn't matter if there's an internal cooldown on the proc.

Well, original post is pretty much complete.

ilvl is 156 (Illidan and Archimonde loots are 151)
They're activated during the last phase of Illidan Fight, it could be related to Maiev Shadowsong being here.

The kill on Magtheridon also "activated" these 3 items :

Based on what I've seen on Thottbot/Wowhead for spell effects, if you know something isn't a 100% proc chance ("chance to") then having a 100% chance listed in the effect means that it is a PPM proc.

It would be nice if their real, if i remember correctly only hunters would be left without a useable legendary. Hopefully there is a nice quest to go along with them (that doesnt require 200 nightseyes and 100 khorium bars).

p.s. the Proc has an interesting icon, i wonder if it turns you into something ala zg tiger claws.

It depends on your definition of usable. Hunters can equip Thunderfury, but for all intents and purpose we don't have a legendary we can get any use out of. Paladins can use TF too, but not really. Shamans and Paladins can use Sulfuras, but that's more of a toy than a raid weapon.

In my opinion, the only thing they need to do to make a hunter legendary is take an epic of the appropriate ilvl and tack on the summon arrows effect that the netherstrand longbow got.

I'd settle for something which would let me port to CoT just to buy the arrows. Once I hit the rep req. with Scale I do not look forward to making a daily trek down there to fill my quiver.

I mean in all honesty Vashj should of had a Legendary Bow, and Kael's "head" quest which turns out to be those Orbs, should have been a Legendary Trinket, people would be all like "ohhhh" if you ran around Shattrath with orbs floating around your head like Kael'thas.

It wouldn't surprise me if the proc chance on the twin blades WAS 100%, with a PPM and you'd have to get TWO legendaries dropping, and that means farming Illidan for months on end just to get one (and potentially another of the same one). My guild never got a Thunderfury after about a year of farming MC (only saw 1 binding). We did get 1 sulfuras however (and only one... ; .

Ok, Illidan encounter unlock this;
all legendaries had quest to do in order to get them.

IMHO they need:
1) 1st or part (quest item) from Illidan or somewhere in BT (MH or OH)
2) grind mats
3) Exalted with ashtongue - Maiev gives quest
4) Kill Illidan again

They can require (doesn't mean they need to) - some stuff from Hyall aswell since Azzinoth was doomguard directly in command of Archimonde during War of the Ancients, when Illidan killed him and took his blades. Also Illidan have connection with Rage Winterchill since he killed Tichondrius - dreadlord that was commanding Scourge with Rage Winterchill, but weapons are in game... and all this are speculations and brainstorming till we are clear how they can be obtained...
