Favorite Zone: Nagrand. Lots of decent quest lines, beautifull scenery, you are less bothered by endless multitudes of hostile mobs when travelling around from point A to B. Generally a well done region.

Favorite Instance : Dire maul (and ofc dead mines ). The first instance I realy had an awe feeling. The Black rock mountain complex is imo conceptual the best design. It is chaotic, big, sprawling, it feels alive and active. It is full of things. Many powers gathered in that mountain, its a power Nexus. Blizz should have made the BT like black rock mountain.

Favorite Raid : BWL. Naxxramas was great but I never had the feeling of accomplishment I had when doing BWL the first time. Maybe because I did BWL fairly early and all the tips and tricks werent as obvious as later on and the guilds werent the perfect raiding machines they are now.

Favorite Boss: Satura (?!?). Yep , Satura. I liked the dynamics of the battle, always running around, always being ready to move at an instance and still forced to keep healing (dps has a simple task there apart from staying alive). The beauty of the battle was for me the simplicity of its design and still getting a difficult execution. Sure if you are overgeared ( full T2 and such) it was not that hard but when the gear isnt that great (yet) keeping all alive is quite an accomplishment. The problem I have with boss design later on is not its difficulty as such but increasing difficulty by stacking gimmicks. You see it in Naxxramas, you see it in TBC ( Aran is a glaring example, lets stack X spells and call that difficult). Real creativity in boss design is for me a boss with minimal tricks and still getting a difficult encounter. I know stacking abilities is much easier for the raid designers and testers.

Favorite Quest : Onyxia key questline, alliance. There is no questline were you feel as much a hero when you walk with sergeant (what was his name??) into Stormwind to face Onyxia in disguise in the court. Yes the rest of the questline may not be that great, but that moment is so well done that it makes it for me the best questline.

Favorite Zone: Azuremyst/Bloodmyst Isles. In my opinion the best lowbie zones in the game.(though I haven't started a Blood Elf. I'd imagine the same effort was put in over there as well.)

Favorite Dungeon: Scholomance and Scarlet Strath. Scholo was just a cool place both in looks and enjoyable runs, and Scarlet Strath was my favorite to farm for money(orbs + shards)

Favorite Raid: Naxx, even though I didn't get to see all of it All of the bosses were unique and enjoyable while I was playing my mage.

Instance you would like to see as a heroic: Deadmines. Who wouldn't want to fight Van Cleef on heroic?

Favorite Faction: Violet Eye. I'm a lore junkie when it comes to Medivh and Khadgar, I'll admit it.

Favorite Boss: Baron Geddon. I always loved playing the "Bomb the Raid Leader/GM/Person who pissed me off" game... when I wasn't leading the raid.

Favorite Questline: the Ras Frostwhisper questline, and to a lesser extent the Karazhan quests for killing Prince M and Nightbane.

I really love Scholo too. Scholo, BRD, and to a lesser extent LBRS (I always liked it a bit more than UBRS but the loot was worse which meant I didn't run it as much) are by far my favorite level 60-ish instances.

Bomb the leader does bring back very fond memories . I bombed someone I knew was a GM (game mater not guild master) though on PTR lol. That was hillarious. They were so pissed. But they of course couldn't say they were a GM or do anything to me. I did bomb the same mage every raid for three weeks straight after he was a dumbass and wiped our whole raid on ragg by pulling agro through sheer stupidity. Being the MT at the time (different character), that was one of the perqs. No one was quite willing to call me out on it. Especially since they were all almost as ripped as me.

Favorite Zone: The Plaguelands. The quest chains are just amazing, and the sense of loss and sorrow there is really powerful. Very well done zone(s). Shadowmoon Valley gets a close second for being extremely creepy and awesome. A lot of good quest chains here as well.

Favorite Dungeon: Dire Maul North. What can I say? I love Ogres. The idea of sneaking past mini-bosses to get more loot at the end was unique, the instance wasn't too taxing while still requiring good CC and party skills, and getting to be the king and demanding buffs (and booze) from your new subjects was awesome. And honestly, if they made ogres a playable race I'd reroll immediately. Ogres rule.

Favorite Raid: ZG. Sure it was easy and whatnot, but I really liked it. It was outside, it was pretty, and the bosses were amusing. I never saw any of Naxx, but I imagine I would have enjoyed that too.

Want to see as a heroic: Maybe one of the dungeons I never really ran much pre-BC, like BFD or SFK, but really only so that I could experience them.

Favorite Faction: The AQ bugs. I know they aren't technically a faction, but after grinding to CC exalted with my druid alt for the mace, I support any faction that exists to kill the Cenarion Circle.

Favorite Boss: Onyxia. Killing dragons is epic, her quest chain is amazing, the instance is no-nonsense with minimal trash, and the fight is just fun.

Favorite Questline: The Varedis chain in SMV is pretty awesome, the Onyxia chain is badass as well.

Favorite Zone: Mulgore

Favorite Dungeon: Shadow Labyrinth just for Murmur

Favorite Raid: Karazhan I think although it depends upon which criteria I use. I think Naxxramas would have been if I'd seen more of it.

Instance you would like to see as a heroic: Naxxramas so people would have a reason to go back

Favorite Faction: Violet Eye and Skyguard. Neither feel like chores to rep up (Violet Eye because it's fast and Skyguard because the daily quests are fast and fun).

Favorite Boss: Onyxia because it was fun even after doing it for the nth time. C'Thun when we first started learning him. Ragnaros for the 1st kill feeling.

Favorite Questline: Ring of Blood because it's fast, easy and has good rewards. I hated the Onyxia quest line.

Not actually a member of Refusion on Burning Blade.

Seeing Skyguard mentioned by so many people has reminded me of my favourite faction: Netherwing.

Very well done, a lot of fun quests with only one or two stinkers stuck in there. Really great solo content.

Favorite Zone: I'd have to say Nagrand as the best TBC leveling zone at least, enjoyed it a lot, though pre-TBC I'll say STV.

Favorite Dungeon: Always liked Stratholme Scarlet side, for some reason. Scarlet Monastery, Zul'Farrak and Deadmines are good runner-ups.

Favorite Raid: Naxxramas, hands down. The design in that instance was pretty much the best I've seen from Blizzard's side (but I haven't been in Hyjal or BT yet, so can't really comment there). Late AQ is a close rival.

Instance I would most like to see as a heroic: Definitely Deadmines. The thought of 5 level 70s going down there and wiping on Mr. Smite is just too good to turn down. "NOW you're making me angry!!"

Favorite Boss: C'thun, by far. While I never found him to make a lot of sense lore-wise, C'thun was probably the most fun I've done - once everything worked as it should. The trash before him was a whole other story.

Favorite Questline: I enjoyed picking up the Broodlord's head and doing parts of the AQ quest chain, admittedly a good while after it had first been completed on my server. I liked the huge extent of the questline, and how lore was tied into it in many different ways. I never completed it since parts of it requires a raid, but I would really have loved to.

I really like this thread - and I love seeing all the varied opinions.

Favorite Zone: Un'Goro Crater. There is so much to do there, and is generally off the beaten path at that point in the leveling curve - many people hit Felwood/WPL instead. It's also spread out enough to where PvP can be avoided if you wish, but if you want to find it, there are fairly obvious places for that too.

Favorite Dungeon: This is really hard for me. I suppose I'd have to say Dire Maul though, especially East and West, the less traveled ones. I remember distinctly when I upgraded my video card how the softness of the architecture and the elementals really shone through instantly and isn't replicated anywhere else. It is a distinctly magical instance which is very appealing to me.

Favorite Raid: Naxx. It's a little biased of course because at the time Mages were OP, but I had the most fun there being top of the DM and leading my crew through all of that. It was very nicely tiered too, with clear paths and clear progression.

Heroic Choice: SFK. I think Arugal would be a simply insane fight on Heroic with the teleporting and the design of the room (playing a healer in that room with a bunch of PuGs is definitely an exercise in mobility, everyone is always out of LoS).

Favorite Boss: C'Thun. No boss has ever meant more to me for a first kill. Not even 4H. I think that was actually the only time my guild ever downed the "final boss" of an era before the next dungeon came out (Naxx wasn't out yet), which added to the accomplishment. On top of all that, NO boss ANYWHERE requires as much personal accountability (keep yourself alive) or raid awareness than that from individual members.

Favorite Questline: Scythe of Elune, too bad it was never finished. I have a hankering for the unfinished questlines though. I also enjoyed Linken's quest, although it generally upsets me that I can't solo Blazerunner (except for my Warlock). I also rather enjoyed the Jaedenar quests.

No one here loved molten core besides me? :o Nearly exalted with 2 characters, and it wasn't boring until the very last few runs.

No. No one anywhere did.

Favorite Zone/Questline: Nagrand. As a Horde player who is pretty knowing about the story of WoW, the Greatmother quest line has no peer. Everything leading up to Thrall's arrival in Outland is enough fun that I'd repeat it about once a month if I could. Runner up goes to the AQ gate quest.

Favorite Dungeon/Want to see Heroic: Stratholme.

Favorite Raid: Blackwing Lair. Hard as hell to break in to and progress through, but once you have it down it's fast (unlike MC was) and really rewards knowing the zone well. Kara is pretty close.

Favorite Boss: Nefarian. I really enjoyed watching that fucker keel over after months of progress on the zone, twice in two different guilds.

Favorite Faction: Mag'har, because it gives me an excuse to kill ogres wholesale, and I loves killing me some ogres.

Favorite Zone: Bit of a toss-up here. Elywnn Forest is basically the perfect introduction into WoW, at least for the race it represents (and Teldrassil is definitely the worst, convoluted and purple). Duskwood is a winner for atmosphere, and except for being a little bit generic, I felt it should have had a stronger role. Westfall too; this trio is a fantastic set of zones, one right after another. A good hook for new players.

Of course, I was always fond of Eastern/Western Plaguelands; not only do they serve as a vivid reminder of why you're fighting the major villain in WoW, but they're kind of a marker that says "hey, you've reached the end game".

Coming from Alliance, Desolace was pretty amazing. The tower on the coast was a pretty awe-inspiring sight, even though it turned out to be window dressing that would be repeated about 10 times throughout the rest of the game.

Favorite Dungeon: Toss-up between L/UBRS and BRD. Open-ended zones with real variety to the architecture. The kind of thing you want to adventure through, as an intrepid explorer and slayer of foes! A depth that challenges the nothing that you're just murdering monsters for loot.

Favorite Raid: I don't know, I'm probably a bit biased here, since I haven't really been in guilds that were any good at raiding. For me it's always been a herding cats experience. Might as well not even comment.

Instance you would most like to see as a heroic: I can't deny that Deadmines has a structure that would lend itself to a challenge. I don't think that every zone needs a Heroic version; this is one of the areas that Blizzard probably went too far with.

Favorite Faction: Argent Dawn. Coolest lore imaginable, especially after the Scourge invasion.

Favorite Boss: I'm giving style points to Baron Rivendare. Strong lead-in, and then he rides around on a horse! The first time I encountered him was in one of those 10-man zergfests, and it was pretty memorable if not difficult.

Favorite Questline: Fordring is a shoe-in, but I'm also partial to the Battle of Darrowshire series. Bride of the Embalmer too. The series of elite quests in Stromgarde would have been pretty decent if not for the huge travel time involved between steps.

Favorite Zone: Winterspring, just for the atmosphere. Whole place is like a christmas card (a friend of mine actually calls it "Christmasland").

Favorite Dungeon: Old world? Maraudon. The place has some really spectacular sights, the story behind it is pretty neat too. Outland? Black Morass, hands down. A nice change of pace from offense to defense, very frantic and relentless. One of the coolest things Blizzard has done in a while.

Favorite Raid: Karazhan. I didn't see much of the old world raids, admittedly, but KZ is just amazing. The art, the atmosphere, the whole thing is just endlessly fun and very cool.

Favorite Faction: Argent Dawn. The story of where they came from, and their relationship to the Scarlets, really should have been more prominently featured.

Favorite Boss: Old World? Jin'do. I did mention I didn't get very far pre-TBC, and this fight was just crazy and fun, very different from the standard tank and spank or variations thereof. Ossirian was truly unique as well. Outland: Shade of Aran. Another really, really interesting boss that rewards execution and people being on their toes, and the first time he went down was really, really satisfying.

Favorite Questline: The Fordring chain was really well done. Darrowshire's finale is one of the most fun things I've ever done in WoW.

Favorite Zone: Pre-TBC Eastern-Plaguelands (For the PvP)

Favorite Dungeon: Botanica, quite an enjoyable dungeon, in my opinion.

Favorite Raid: Serpentshrine Cavern, the best designed raid instance since Naxxramas, and also the best encounters since Naxxramas.

Favorite Boss: The Lurker Below, for some reason I seem to love this fight, its on par with The Four Horsemen.

Favorite Questline: Cipher of Damnation, it was quite a fun questline for me, even if it was a tad annoying.
