Thought it was meant to have a lot of potential bugs involved, mostly to do with having mailboxes accessible in instances, and they decided it wasn't worth the time of their programming and network teams to fix (especially since leaving instance and being summoned back is far less of an issue now).
Fused wiring availability wasn't the reason, certainly, as they could have just changed the mat requirements.
Gnomeragan already has a working mailbox, or atleast it worked a year ago.
They don't despawn. Snd they aren't in a position where they can be used during a bosss fight script. And there's no items in Gnomeregan which are meant to despawn upon leaving the instance. And so on.
Also an issue of traffic- Gnomeregan is not high traffic and never really was even in January 2005. In June 2007, we have enough mailbox bugs without subjecting the mail system to crashes and resets and raid-zone lag.
The terrain/environmental/geography/something in Gurtogg's room was changed near the waterfalls, specifically, when you're facing him, the waterfall to the right. It's possible to jump on to, or more realistically, get knocked back onto the waterfall and fall through the world. The camera also behaves very poorly and bugs out tremendously near the right waterfall.
I used to constantly get the lock-ups from ALT-TABing out of WoW. Post patch I haven't had a single problem.
They sort of fixed it, it no longer errors after 30 alt tabs instead the graphics become screwy and I have to use /console gxRestart, but their seems to be some sort of memory issue since I've started to get out of memory errors while alt tabbing.
They've changed the graphics of the Karazhan plate set again. Previously they had messed with the shoulders, turning them into red wrath ones while leaving the rest of the set bright green lawbringer. Now it's all a very browny Bold-armour reskin, from first glance.
I had grown kinda attached to my red wrath shoulders. New ones are very dull.
Strange change I noticed: The Dragonmaw Transporters at Netherwing Ledge are now immune to Gouge.
They're immune to most CC's, including freezing trap. I used to pull 2 of them down and just trap one while I killed the other, now I've got to kite one or feign and let the kitty tank two.
I have a kitty, because the lvl 70 Ravagers in the mines still aren't tameable *hint* .
* Tempest Keep: Mechanar
o Nethermancer Sepethrea's Raging Flames should now periodically change their targets in Heroic mode.
She also cannot be kited out of the room any longer (although I have to say I had never kited her before but a guildmate of mine with whom I was running this yesterday told me he did - so potentially to be confirmed). As soon as she goes on the glass portion of the bridge she resets and runs back to the starting position with full health and her elementals despawn. It was a normal mode. It would be consistent with the fact that they fixed a few kiting issues with bosses in this patch (e.g. Anzu).

This has been in since 2.1. It was possible to kite the adds though but I imagine now that they switch target it's not any more.
Not actually a member of Refusion on Burning Blade.

I didn't take me 30 Alt-Tabs for the game to crash before (either freeze or just close suddenyl with an error message). A couple were enough. However even before this patch I have taken the habit of using the Windows key to go back to the desktop and I have not had a problem since then. I still have the issue that portraits go black, and more annoyingly that the display gets completely weird, displaying vectors with full triangles in black or white (think about the way landscapes were rendered in 3D 15 years ago).
In reference to Sepethrea, we did a heroic mech last night. Her elementals were changing targets randomly (hellfire optional). We did the encounter the 'intended' way (i.e. we stayed in her room and didn't go down the corridor or elevator, didn't encounter any other bugs.
I'm pretty sure this pattern existed in early BC beta, or people who where in alpha talked about it.
I think someone in our beta guild had it, or at least had it linked, as some random drop. It was removed at a later patch (I think when they removed the level cap of 67).
I never saw the RMT in beta (PvE server) and to the extent of my knowledge it was only ever data-mined. I do recall the thread asking if it was ever actually coming into the game and the response was that it had been killed in development.
Unless, if course, senility is setting in finally. Mmmm, I'm looking forwards to that!

Actually I had the drop in very very early beta (unless I'm nuts again...) but I mailed it to an engineer friend and -it was never seen again-. Just vanished- but everything was so new that I figured I mailed it to the wrong name or something, and it wasn't till months later that I learned that it was pulled from the game.
So I've no idea if it was even learnable or anything, but I'm pretty sure the drop did exist as a random world one.

I only use the Windows key to get out of game, and have had hard locks since 2.1. It occurs after 4-20 times. If you're still experiencing this, don't ever alt+tab or Windows key out of the character selection menu, if it locks up there, you'll lose all your savedvariables from the last character you were logged into.
It would seem that Curse of Recklessness and Curse of Weakness are causing a huge amount of aggro. We were having a lock put it up recklessness in our fights on leo during the demon phase and he kept pulling aggro as well as during the switch from demon to human. We further tested it on some of the trash pulls having him place CoR on a sheeped mob and everytime he did the mob would go strait to him after it broke.
This was probably due to an exploit you could do pre-patch. You could park an imp on an object that would cause a mob to evade, jump down on the ground and pull with rank 1 Curse of Recklessness (I'm assuming Weakness worked too), and then run like mad to your imp while spamming this macro:
/cancelaura Fire Shield
/cast [target=player] Fire Shield
Doing this would cause the mobs to aggro on your imp, holding them into place for a pretty good while. Eventually they would evade bug completely and aggro on you and kill you, but it was good for skipping trash packs in heroic instances, or helping someone else get that damned Netherwing Egg on the dock next to the two draknoids.
I tried this post-patch on some mobs and they no longer aggroed on the imp, so I'm assuming it was because they buffed the threat generated by curse of recklessness.

It's been very random for me, usually it's around 30-40, but sometimes it's 5 and sometimes it'll take 100+. It's much better then the previous patches that "fixed" it at least.
When the display gets weird do /console gxRestart I had that happen a bunch of times and used it to fix the problem without having to restart the entire game.

Not exactly sure what you mean by this, WoW basically buffers everything that you can change so you can't make a bot that reads SavedVariables/Keybindings/ect for changes, this is why when you crash all of your game and addon settings revert to the last save point.
The game saves everything on reload ui, a clean exit and probably log out.

I have had similar experiences with Curse of Tongues after the patch. Usually when pulling a pack with caster mobs I CoTed the mob the warrior shot for pulling, since the aggro that CoT generated wasn't enough to pull the mob to me. But now it does. No biggie since now i just wait until the tank has made melee contact, but would seem to confirm that they buffed the threat non-damaging debuffs do.
My sample is a bit small, though, since i obviously stopped doing it soon after it was obvious i was messing the pulls. It would be possible that i grouped with warriors without maxed ranged skill.

I mean that the files were gone. Literally, entirely missing. Only the .bak files still existed, and those were no newer than Aug. 2006.
I don't know if this is new to this patch, but switching hunter aspects while mounted will dismount you.
You are casting a spell here (mana cost, etc.), so that's intended behavior. My question is: can Paladins change auras and not get dismounted? I'm thinking of course in the Default UI, because there is an option to change it.
