Enchanting Reputation Reward Rings

Has anyone tried this yet? I'm assuming that the enchant will disappear when you swap the ring out for the next one up, but can anyone confirm this with experience?

Yes.

The quest to upgrade a reputation ring requires turning in the lower-rep one. It's the same for upgrading blacksmithing weapons.
