Has anyone tried Spell Reflect against Melt Armor? My guild is approaching phase 2 on this boss after a first night of attempts and I was reading about his phase 2 abilities.

Both the single target nature of "Melt Armor" and the fact the trash they have leading up to Al'ar being very susceptible to "Spell Reflect" makes it sound viable.

Has anyone tried it?

No, but he's tauntable. Just have two tanks taunt off.
