The new trinkets say - Dispels all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character. There are a ton of scripted events or spells in PvE fights that can freeze a character, some of which a Paladin can Divine Shield out of (Illhoof's Sacrifices, Morogrim's Watery Graves) others which just happen (Gruul's Stoned, Maexxna's Web Spray, Blackheart the Inciter's mass mind control).

Has anyone tested the trinkets to see if they can break anything special in PvE, and if so which abilities or bosses?

Works on rage winterchill icebolt (thats the frostbolt that hits for 5k+ then 2.5k every second).
Not that mages needed it considering blink takes you out of it anyway, but nice to know.

I trinketed out of deathcoil from Magtheridon trash on Tuesday. I don't know if that counts as "something special" though.
I picked it up with PvE in mind on patch day, so I'm very interested in what other people have been able to do thus far.

Granted these aren't the hardest fights ever but it would be good to test:

Watery Graves on Morogrim
After failing to kill an inner demon on Leotheras

The second seems particularly useful, because it means healers could just use one trinket slot to handle demons instead of a partial caster set. Again, not that the fight is that hard but still, less potential for error.

Confirmed it doesnt work on Watery Graves.
Does work on the melee aoe Karathres' priest does.

We might be going after Leo tonight, will keep it in mind.

One of our priests reported that the trinket would not break out of leotheras' mind control. He is Canadian though, so you may wish to confirm.

Watery Graves is the limit of what a player can break out of, with Divine Shield being one of the few things to counter it. I guess if those can't be broken, they aren't going to do anything too surprising.

No it does break new and exciting things. It breaks cyclone, UA (bug?), deathcoil. I Don't think anything broke those trinket wise before the patch. Not positive about racials lie stoneform though.

The UA part is a bug and being fixed in a future patch.

Nothing breaks that.

You can use Insignia of the Alliance to break the IceBolt from Rage Winterchill, it also removes the dot.

Basically - trivialises encounter

It's a good thing to wear on Archimonde, even as undead. However if you don't have the 2 minute one I probably wouldn't recommend it.

2 minutes or not, it's a life saver to prevent you getting feared into the fire. It's very worth the investment to use your honor on the 2m trinket though, I agree.

Somewhat surprising as it is able to break pretty much every other incapacitate effect I've tested it on. Unless the repentance from Maiden is classified otherwise.

Small nit: the Frost Shock is separate from the Ice Tomb.

Maiden's repentance effect surprises me as well, I'd expected it to basically work as 'Anything you can Divine Shield out off', but it seems Divine Shield is still a better overall debuff breaker. Same with Demonic Chains, though I guess that at least makes sense in that it'd seriously trivialize Illhoof.

Has anyone tested to see if Gruul's Reverberation can be trinketed? (I'd test myself, but I'm not raiding at the moment.)
