Yeah I've died to the sister of pain more than a few times just to someone forgetting they enrage or something.

As for the mass caster pulls, sometimes we have a tank run in and get splattered, sometimes we're smart and let a totem or NPC's get it, sometimes I run in, get nuked to 4k hp, go "OH SHIT" as I realize what happened and mash spell reflect and hope (sometimes it works, sometimes, not so well)

And Renew, you don't need more than 3 tanks for Hyjal, but it makes the tanking job so much easier. We don't have people cycling shackles and fears to get NPC's off mobs usually, so having 4 tanks means it's much less likely than you have one tank with 4 mobs and one NPC pulling aggro on each one of those 4 mobs (cause that really just makes me want to never go to hyjal again personally)

Had a weird thing happen on our 1st repeat kill for Essence of Souls. We wiped in phase 2 but when we went back to attempt him, Essence of desire was still up from the first attempt and it didn't give us the aura. One of my guildy say its a sign of Blizzard wanting us to kill Mother Sharaz this week

Don't want to promote cheating but its pretty easy to do, we did it just messing around on practice attempts.

That's been posted about in the Reliquary/Essence of souls thread, it happens when the last person alive vs the Essence of Desire does something like feign death, vanish, etc.

No, that's why the tauren stay.

Are you sure? I don't think it's quite possible yet. The highest rep I've seen is a couple of humans in DnT and Forte with like 17k/21k.

Just out of curiosity...

Since most Illidan-killing guilds can clear Tier 6 content in a little under three nights of raiding; have any of you considered clearing trash, wiping on bosses, and repeating for a few hours on what would otherwise be an 'off' night for rep, gems, etc. and then clear Hyjal?

The trash (in Hyjal) doesn't give rep until the patch. You only get rep if you successfully kill the boss. That will work after the patch though.

By the way, does anyone know how the new trash drops work in Hyjal? Is it the kind of stuff people would be interested in, or just greens and sellable stuff? I'm kind of curious how a guild can handle distributing loot while the waves are coming in - we are definitely getting better at it, but we don't have THAT much time to spare.

I think corpse stay 30min before it's fade, so you have time to think about the loot.

The corpses stay up for 30seconds before the ghouls run over to consume them and your loot =)

I think there is one, but I can't confirm. I'm just basing this on a GM response when we had a member try and ask them for a change in their ring reward.

Their response was basically that there is already an in-game mechanic for swapping rewards so good luck at exalted!

The corpse despawns if even a fraction of a second of consume happens.

I'm hoping Blizzard will have enough foresight to not have corpses with loot on them disappear when consumed, but I doubt it.

I don't see how it is feasible for the trash waves to drop loot. The logistic would be a nightmare and it would certainly cause wipes. Maybe they could tack the "trash drop" to the bosses.

Remember artifacts dropping in the Fankriss tunnel? I'm picturing that but much, much worse.

If they really drop bop epics, you probably need to go with group loot, assign one guy to need all gems etc and sort the bop stuff really fast so the guy can just need roll it as well. Would be a bit annoying.

I havent been in a dkp using guild since before BWL was released, so I'm not sure how long that system takes these days...

but from my experience, as a hunter for example, we already know what each boss drops. We already know which person is most suited to the item, so there isnt really much discussion. If there is any doubt we just /roll, or sent a quick tell to the officers to make a judgment call.

Trash wouldnt be any different if we already know what drops. Hell even if its completely new loot, you have 3 mins with BoP group loot. I cant imagine an item taking longer than 3 mins to decide upon.

I assume if you use dkp you could have that table up and know who wants what anyway?
