There would probably be some complaints though if say rogues only got 3 books where hybrids got 6-9.

Easy enough to give rogues 6-7 upgrades, though, without making it ridiculous: one each for SS/Hemo/BS, Deadly/Instant/Wound poisons, and Feint (or potentially finishers as well). Just like hybrids aren't going to be making use of all of their new skills at once, no one rogue will use all those books at the same time... but it's still meaningful upgrades and the number to number comparison will be roughly equal to shut up the forum trolls.

Hmm. We have 3 groups that clear Kara in 2 evenings each, and yet only downed Gruul last week after a month of head-bashing, so I'm not 100% sure about this.
Lots of individually good players, and 10-man coordination, do not a Mag-killing 25 man group make, in my opinion.

For druids I think Starfire, Shred, Lifebloom would satisfy all 3 specs. Except nothing for bear I guess, but really there isn't anything you could give bear that wouldn't be lackluster. Maul or swipe wouldn't be that great, maybe a new rank of Lacerate if the threat boost was meaningful, or a new (scaling?) rank of Frenzied Rejuvenation.

Devs: Our nerfs will block out the sun!
Druids: Then we will tank in the shade.

The key part of Cesar's quote is "if they try". There aren't that many opportunities for "passengers" to single handedly doom the raid in Karazhan outside of Aran. If someone stuffs up and Shatters on top of the tanks or a pack of healers or doesn't click his cube, it's game over. I'm not complaining that Gruul is too hard, just that the move from 10 to 25 represents a social and logistical hurdle. Until you outgear it, everyone has to be prepared and playing their best or you might as well not even show up. It was a pretty huge culture shock for my casual guild to go from two groups smoothly clearing Kara to wiping badly on Gruul.
This is pretty far off-topic, though, so I'll leave it at that.

Shred got a rank at 70, giving it a (hidden) level 71-73 rank upgrade, while nice, would be a minor upgrade. With the most used cat abilities (mangle, shred, rip) having fairly recent ranks, a more appropriate upgrade would be to Ferocious Bite (last rank came at level 63) or Maim (level 62). This would also fit with most cat abilities getting upgraded ranks approximately every 8 levels.
Something that would truly rock for bears - at least 5/10 man bears, and Zul'Aman is a ten-man instance, would be giving bears a new rank of Demoralising Roar. With the current max rank granted at level 62 and 10 levels between upgrades as the rule of thumb for bear abilities, the next one is due at 72 making it an ideal candidate for either a full 72 version or a slightly reduced 71 version breaking the fixed step sequence (as they did with some of the AQ books).

According to the GameSpy Preview linked earlier in this thread there will be no rep/faction associated with Zul'Aman. So this type of system to attain skill books would be highly unlikely.

For pallies... hmm
FoL or Blessing of Light fo healers (another BoL buff would be insanely overpowered though)
Holy Shield or Conc for tanks (Conc would also help shockadins if they exist)
Crusader strike for rets.
...
If more are needed, Auras could be buffed up. Perhaps Devotion / Retaliation / hmm nothing for rets really they can't buff Sanctity...

Man, i'd love to see Prayer of Mending Rank 2, how much do you think that would help for healing priest?
Spriest could pick up a new MF or Upgraded DoT. I haven't been a Spriest in a very long time and don't remeber what level each of those got there last upgrade.
That's only 2 books for the 2 specs of priests you'll see out there. Yes for arena you will have 41pt Disc priest but do they stay that spec 24/7 or spec to it on Arena nights?
