As it was stated bei a CM in the european forum (UK if I remeber correctly), there is already a team working on patch 2.3. As was a team working on patch 2.2.2.
You don't think that all there developers, software engineers, graphics department always work on one patch only?
Of course not.
It might not be a bad idea considering their revision control. Defense no longer affecting Daze was in the patch notes, although just a week ago (http://elitistjerks.com/479984-post660.html) the news was that it wasn't going to be included. We'll just have to see what's out of sync, their patch notes or their revision control.

I hope someone is going to Hyjal today and finds out, I cant see any other option than setting group loot during trash so that you can have people clicking corpses right away and deal with the drops that way. Having 1 person run around clicking corpses to check for loot sounds a bit rubbish.
Does Europe get this patch before we do? I'd love to find out what's dropping in Hyjal prior to having to go there tonight. The curiosity is killing me... =)
The trash doesn't even drop anything anyway... so you can be sure the sparklies will be pounced pretty fast.
Huh? Your post doesnt make sense.

EU always gets patched on wednesdays, so no, we wont get the patch today.

Europe always gets the patch 1 day after US. I guess you will be the one telling us what drops in Hyjal

I don't follow this stuff too closely, but wasn't it an EU guild that got the first C'Thun kill because they got a patch earlier or something? Or maybe it was a hotfix. I dunno.
Anyway, we are doing TK tonight for attunes and then heading to Hyjal, so I guess I'll know sometime around 10pm this evening. =P

The way that worked was that there was a hotfix applied on a tuesday, but since EU maint isn't until wednesday, the EU guilds had their instances cleared and US guilds had to reclear.

It was a hotfix that was applied at the same time in both regions which just happened to coincide with US maintenance. This meant US guilds had to reclear AQ whilst EU already had cleared instances up to C'Thun. At least that's how I think it happened.
EDIT: Bah too slow - US even get to post before we do
Not actually a member of Refusion on Burning Blade.
Holiday content only needs to be tested when new additions have been made to it which could be broken in some way or cause unexpected issues. Most of last year holiday content didn't need to be tested because it was pretty much the same content as the year before. They've added Outland portions of many events and with the brew event, an entirely new event so yes, I can see why it's necessary to give it a shove through the PTR.
Broken content on the PTR is easily fixed at leisure (relatively speaking) and has no issues with player perception of the downtime or how long it takes to fix (to a certain point- Voice took forever). Broken content on live with an already short window of availability creates a crisis situation and can sour players views of what is supposed to be a nice perk... which instead turns into a holiday gone wrong.
Remember the year that Halloween ended early? Oops. They couldn't very well just say "sorry you're out of luck" so they took down the servers (interrupting raiding and other game play) rolled out a mini patch to put the pumpkins back for some absurdly short period of time. I think they even had to rolling restart to take the pumpkins OUT again that year.
I'd rather they spent 2 weeks PTRing the mini holiday patches and not have them buggy than pushing them live without PTR and wind up losing an evening on Live to some insane bug- even if it delays ZA (which is arguably an instance for my type of player- I'm a very late reroll that will never see BT or beyond, so ZA will be my playground until WotLK) by 2-3 weeks.
=)
Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA, I've got some good news and some bad news.
Bad news is we're postponing those tests indefinitely. Good news is we've got a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men.
Pick up a rifle and follow the yellow line. You'll know when the test starts. BSG Quick Reference

Sorry, I'll rephrase... What I meant was, the trash hasn't normally drop anything anyway. So if it sparkles, it's one of the new loot rewards, without having to check to see if it is.

Not really. All the mobs should sparkle whether they have loot on them or not. If a mob *might* have loot, it sparkles regardless whether is actually has anything on them or not. So all the mobs will sparkle, and only a few will have epics on them, assuming they work the same as other lootable mobs in WoW.
Mystical Skyfire Diamond: Channeled spells will now properly consume the Focus effect.
Anyone know if they ever changed it on the PTR for the Focus effect to be increased to 10 seconds from 5 seconds? And has there been any discussion regarding the MSD's nerf and how it relates to shadow priests?
I find it utterly retarded that TK/SSC weapons are buffed while Hyjal/Black Temple weapons are wholly ignored.
I'm sure there will be complaints when people realize the narrowing difference between these weapons. Maybe we'll get lucky and they will address it--and maybe not.

You would be right if they never buffed Hyjal/BT weaps in the future, but they almost certainly will and in the meantime those with such weapons will have to settle for the gap between them and T5 level weapons being a bit lower than they would like thats all.

I regard that as a bug that should have been fixed before release. If a corpse has nothing on it, it shouldn't sparkle and should be immediately skinnable if appropriate. This is not rocket science.
Something else. There has always been the issue with the 2 components of the Judgement spell ("You loose Buff." + "You debuff Target."), which caused some items that have a "on spellcast" effect to treat Judgements as 2 spells (Pendant of the Violet Eye for example). The comment in the Patchnotes most likley refers to them fixing this (beneficial) bug.
Ah piffle. I was enjoying that on the Darkmoon: Crusade card. (Only happened with JoR though, not with any other judgement)

Regardless of how it should be, thats not how it works currently and looting every single trash mob in Hyjal is going to be a huge pain in the ass unless they came up with something clever.

I don't think they will drop BOP epics. However, anything BOE will be perfectly fine. The melee have nothing to do in-between waves. It's entirely reasonable for ~5 melee to loot a dozen corpses in 10-20 seconds.
