2.2 PTR Summary

Pre-mades
Because of the very high level of interest in pre-made characters for the PTR they copy systems is very busy, the queues are very long and may take several days before your character is available. We are aware of this and the only solution is to be patient.

If you get an error when trying to copy a pre-made it is because the queue is full and not taking more requests, try again later.

Pre-made gear and abilities
We are aware that some pre-made characters are missing abilities, or have abilities that they should not. We do not intend to make changes to the pre-made characters at this time in the test phase.

Passwords
The authentication server was updated with account information at the beginning of last week. If you have changed your password since the update it will not work on the PTR, you may be able to use an old password on the PTR but there is no guarantee that it will work.

Error 132 with Athlon Processors
We are aware of this issue and it is being investigated, Please be sure to submit any crash logs that you encounter while playing on the PTR.

Orc Shoulders
Orc shoulders are now the correct size, they are not any larger than they were before, it’s your imagination.

Voice Chat:
Yes Voice Chat is planned for 2.2. No it is not available yet. When it is available expect an announcement because we intend to do a lot of testing on it.

Guild Banks and Zul'Amman
The new features mentioned in recent developer interviews are planned for a future patch, they will not be part of 2.2.

World of Warcraft comic announced

When a human is found unconscious on the shores of Kalimdor, with no memory of who he is or how he arrived there, how will he survive? Enslaved by an Orc Shaman, he must fight for survival against members of both the Alliance and the Horde. Will he strike the uneasy balance with the other races he'll need to find the secrets of his past?

The plot sounds really dumb (wait a minute, Orcs enslaving another race? Didn't they just fight some huge war just so no one would have to be enslaved again?), but then again the concept art looks pretty neat. Also, one of the covers has the human with a Thunderfury, so that's gotta count for something.

Besides, the writer is Walt Simonson and he was the guy who made Beta Ray Bill, and who doesn't like Beta Ray Bill?

I looked at the con exclusive WoW comic preview (just has an interview and some drawings of the characters), and at least the art is decent. It is coming out around November.

If you just wanted the news, you could just go to MMO-Champion or World of Raids to get it. PNT has always just been a collection of news from the past week with my thoughts included in it.

I'll go ahead and be the wet blanket.

Their team composition is ONLY Paladins and Warriors, meaning that every member in their group wears plate.

As a main rogue and a regular physical dps dealer, I'll go ahead and say: "Ouch.".

That was last week's team. This is a different one - mostly made up of belves and including clothies.

Hate to do this, but I guess it needs to be pointed out. (Btw: A quick scan would keep you from noticing this.)

If you observe a little more closely, you'll notice that as of last week, when this was posted, 4 of the 8 members of that 5 V 5 team, had NOT participated AT ALL in any of their games. Think about that.

4 V 5, on this battlegroup, and they're ranked in the top percentages, and as of last week, they had NO losses. After 40+ games.

I'm sure someone who was on the team before either quit the team or is helping some other team for a while. You can't deduce that they've been playing 4v5 just from the armory. I don't get the link either.
