She is tauntable, so really should not have been a problem to get aggro back =).
Just to clarify:
BoP = You will not be attacked for the duration as long as someone else has 1 aggro point.
DI = Clears all threat for both people involved.
Divine Shield = Same as BoP.
Fade = Lowers your threat for a few seconds. It does NOT permanently lower threat as feint does for example.
Invisibility = lowers your threat by a % every second (10%? 20%?), its a permanent threat wipe and channeled.
This post is dedicated to the nameless two. A Shadow priest who argued with me constantly about how great fade is, and that its so much better than my rogues feint because fade is a permanent aggro wipe on all mobs. The second of the duo is a mage who I raided with, cleared Kara with, SSC with and almost all of TK with who never knew that invisibility was channeled and wondered why its threat wipe for him was so poor, cooldown so long for such a minor instant cast deaggroer (new word?).
Also countless people who BoP or DI or fade themselves due to having just aggroed the boss, and watch it turn back to the tank. However they don't stop DPS and just keep going full out, so the shield/fade runs out and... SPLAT.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.
The only problem is, it's often an incoming train.

Yeah, you can taunt her. But if you got rootet, get BOPed instead of BoF, she will bow someone in the raid. And nothing below mail + board will survive a hit.
I also love those DPSers who continue to burn to the fullest after the MT died and while tank 2 frantically tries to get the aggro....

Well technically only the top aggro DPS needs to slow down on a tauntable mob...

Forgetful
While I was farming a lot of primals and leather for my armor sets, I made a nifty macro to Hunter's Mark the target and send the pet at the same time. Made grinding so much faster.
A call goes out for a DPS for Arcatraz, so I gladly volunteer. I forget to swap out my Macro icon for my normal Hunter's Mark. Target's get marked with their lucky charms, people are buffing, I get my trap target setup and cast Hunter's Mark on the skull......Zooooom off my kitty goes!!!
Whooops!
Lucky the pat was back and the others were fast, but man it was funny.

While doing one of our first attempts on nightbane, the tank died at ~90% and instead of wiping out i wall jumped up ontop of the center. He kept staring at me so i got the bright idea to platform off the building and zone out. We ended up having to wait for an extremely long time for him to despawn >.>

On our weekly Gruul kill, I very happily got ground slammed all of one foot to the left into a perfect soft spot to keep DPSing Gruul.
Of course, this was on the first shatter after a string of misses from the MT, and I was already riding the early threat cap. One fireball, two critical scorches and a shatter passed, then I was greeted with a faceful of Gronn fist. =/

FUNNY THREAD! Two stories to add...
Last night in SSC, we had a classic one happen; we were running around Hydross towards Fathom Lord and of course, inevitably you aggro one or two water elementals; not a problem as they are wussie mobs. The RL calls out "bring the water elementals over to the bridge, they are easy to kill... stop killing them there, bring them over here.... drag them with you" when suddenly a bunch of them are coming towards the raid. Our bright MT says in vent "f--- this, I'm jumping in the water I aint fighting those" and the people in vent go hysterical when his next words are ... "hey their are fish in the water... <pause> OH CRAP, these fish bite!!!!" followed by silence and then his death.
In Karazhan, we had a hunter who had an alt mage he hadnt played in awhile that was Kara-keyed, but never set foot inside; we asked him to come on his mage. Well. on our way up to Curator, the MT says "hey so-and-so, I'm cursed, please cleanse" to which our mage alt says calmly "Cleanse? Can you tell me where I can find that in my spellbook?"

Last night, on our first learning night on Bloodboil, we get a great attempt despite having lost the OT's and a mix of others. I'm lucky that my debuffs have reset and I'm tanking away... 3%... 2%... 1%...
All of the sudden he goes tearing off around the raid instagibbing people. I can't move, can't attack, and he eventually resets. Bewildered, I finally look at my buffs list: "Divine Intervention: 2:08." Think someone missed their LoH key.

Heh, because of what I put our rogues through in Nax, they have /cancelaura Blessing of Protection macroed to something they spam like SS or BS or whatever. Whenever we get new rogues I always start boping them until they adopt that macro, lol.

Just thought of another one. My first Mag raid, I was assigned to be a cube clicker. I had read a strat and figured "I can handle this, all I have to do is click a cube!". first attempt, get to phase 2, banish time, I click, and die from the cube damage.
i
"I must be missing something, how am I supposed to live through that?" I ask in vent.
No one seems to understand what I'm asking, and we just go again.
Cube-click time comes again, i run over, click, get one heal, but still die. I Went on like this for 3 more attempts before i realized that i did not have to finish the entire casting time on the cube.
Doh!

Let's be honest, there's something amiss when the rest of the raid doesn't pick up on the fact that you're taking damage that you shouldn't, and there's a beam shooting from you to Magtheridon. In my raids, someone would have yelled "stop channeling already, moron!" I think your guild perhaps might have been pulling your leg.

This is me being stupid/bored! Wiping on Vashj, when running back for some reason I find myself with a tainted core while waiting at the first lift. A paladin recruit jumps down the lift, full of confidence, and bubbles. Well I couldn't resist, threw the core to him and he was stuck in the middle of the air, bubbled and paralysed in some sort of death trap; his shield was running out, and the lift is gone.
(Poor guy also died one more time because he got res'd on the lift)

Once when we were doing Magtheridon.
I Misdirect the First of the 5 Summoners to allow the Raid to start the nuking earlier.
Between one wipe i went AFK for a few mins, came back into my room to see the ready check on the screen. So, clicked Ready.
The count down to the pull began, I casted Misdirect and open with some of the best crits i'd ever seen. And the Summoner starts to run to the North side, the opposite side of the room to where we start.
The Summoner runs to a Tank that is Tanking another Summoner and he proceeds to die, VERY Fast.
Turns out that during my AFK they had decided to change the MT. Oh well...
Next pull we downed him. So i soley believe that my Accidental wipe woke everyone up.

I have now been vindicated! My guild can no longer make "Hey, Llew, BOP the tank why don't ya!?!?!?" remarks!
Last night our other paladin DI'd our MT on mother on a near perfect attempt at like 20ish per cent! She was going for a HS and hit DI instead. I honestly haven't laughed that hard in ages.
As an aside, we killed her next pull (I think) and she finally got her T6 shoulders.

On our first night of learning Magtheridon (we've yet to down him, but we're going back tomorrow for night #2 of attempts), we had just run back from a purely stupid wipe (no tank healers in position - I got 3-shot without so much as a PoM), and I was trying to figure out when to call the raid. We were just getting ready to rebuff for what was likely going to be one of our last attempts for the night.
I went to type in /time to check what time it was, since I don't have the little clock up on my UI any more.
I was standing right on the platform next to the S channeler that I was to tank.
I missed the / key.
You do the math.

I believe it's 10% of current threat each tick and then a full wipe when the full invisibility kicks in. So it goes like:
Tick 1: -10% (90% left)
Tick 2: -9% (81% left)
Tick 3: -8.1% (72.9% left)
Tick 4: -7.29% (65.51% left)

If you don't duck below the surface of the water, spout will pretty much wtfpwn you. You can live through the hit (if you're lucky), but it'll punt you so far from the raid that you'll probably die on the swim back.

I shoot him all the time from the water without ducking below. Never been hit for a spout. May be entirely location dependent. So it doesn't seem "stupid" to me
