I and other interrupters used to have macros for kick or pummel or shock whatever they used followed by a /p *** used ***, Nextplayerinrotation interrupt next! to keep track of interrupt rotations on Aran. I used to target him and test it before the fight started to check it was ok and show the others how it looked.

First time I did it on my mage alt, we only had 3 mages for interruptions in the raid. We figured we'd set it up the same way and interrupt what we could. It turns out that while a rogue using kick on Aran when he's out of range does not start the encounter, a mage testing a counterspell macro the same way does start it, oops.

Having CTRA Telling MT Died at 10% at flamegor and nefarian, people stopped healing him etc... when it in reality were a pet named same at the MT that died.. :p

Same thing happened to me with CTRA. "Kaiserin's dead!" "No I'm not!" Took us 3 of those occurences to realize what was going on.

I have to ask, why would your healers have stopped healing the MT that was clearly not dead to them? It's one thing for the DPS to be confused, but the healers should be seeing the health bars not zeroed...

We had exactly the same accident - on one of Mag's channelers. (Luckily, everyone was still outside, and we quickly reset him.)

While healing a MT, I keep them targeted and always have a heal incoming if I'm not casting my instas.

That WOULD be really strange if I still used CTRA though. I'm actually reminded that I need to get a MT frame now that I've switched out to praid...

On that note of silly people, I still get a laugh out of my friend playing my Druid.

He leveled my Druid from 69-70 while I was away for a week and really enjoyed flying around and even more so, being able to fly incredibly high and just freefall and bird form before hitting the ground.

It was even more funny when he tried to do that with his Hunter.

Having been a resto or moonkin druid for a long time I wasn't back in the swing of tanking again. I'm set to tank the first channeler on Mags, which seemed like a good idea at the time. So I'm standing in front of him, waiting for the agro call to switch into bear form, pop enrage and go to town. This is when I had the bright idea to turn on auto attack so I wouldn't have to worry about it when we pulled. Strangely the Raid leader had no issue with me going back to being Moonkin when we started SSC.

The Mag channeler auto-attack thing never fails to get my bloodboil on. Seems like every single night, some tank is a noob and runs over to his target with auto-attack on. In fact, I'm going to make it a point to tell tank recruits not to do it, in all caps.

We had a Rogue win a Nether Vortex a few weeks ago. He wanted the belt but he's not a LW, so it was going to our guild LW to craft the belt. Before the LW could loot it, the Rogue looted it himself...gg.

My favorite TBC stupid moment (that wasn't me) was during my Kara groups first Oz attempt, ages ago.

We had a warlock who had cleared Kara on beta, and he told us about the fight, and that he would be keeping Roar feared; we gave him a moment to make a macro for said purpose, and we started the event.

Warlock picks up agro from Roar right off the bat and ..

[Hamelin says:] Fear(Rank3)

*Roar walks up and responds to the wanding and the verbal threat by one shotting him, and then everyone*

Perhaps it loses a little in the telling, but there was something perfect about the way he squeaked out the spell and rank as Roar loomed over him. We howled with laughter.

Ah untested macros for the win. Hee hee.

I've on at least three occasions respecced shadow for a raid and forgotten to train new ranks of Mind Flay and Vampiric Touch. And not noticed through a the trash clear up through a boss. (Just Kara, but still.)

I respec between prot and holy at the very least once every two weeks. I remember to train my skills upon respeccing roughly once every month...

(Avenger's Shield rank 1 sucks and Holy Shock Rank 1 sucks, but the biggest problem is that you have to relearn Greater Blessing of Kings each time you do that...)

During a clear of BWL we were having some trouble with Firemaw even though he was on farm. For whatever reason the initial pull healing was not happening right and so after the MT would get dead he would charge the raid.

Determined that I would not let another pull go by with the MT dieing on the pull I charged up NS and had my finger over my Healing Wave key. Pull happens and tank takes his normal burst of damage so I let fly. Heal crits and this was of course before Shamans had anything to reduce threat at all, no talent, no TQA totem, and of course no BoS. Firemaw turned had a bit of Troll appetizer before settling in for the main course that was the rest of the raid.

The good news was thou that my actions did serve as a bit of a wakeup call to the rest of he healers to get back in the game as we killed him the next time. And of course I down ranked my initial heal a bit too.

But...that is really nothing. My personal best:

Having hit 70 on my 5th and last toon that I have on my server I was looking to finish up some quests for him. Mostly for the gold since he was pretty tapped after buying his flying mount.

I talk a guildy to help me quickly finish up the Bring Me The Egg! quest in Nagrand since in addition to the gold I'd like the cloak reward too. I fly over and land and get ready to do the quest. Now I had soloed this quest with some of my toons but my on my Warrior I'd already learned that it was tough soloing group quests at best so I thought I'd just throw on my tanking gear and let my Warlock guildy DPS him down for me. I hop on the Jump-A-Tron 4000 and line myself up for the jump.

Having done this jump plenty of times before I was not worried about making it but for whatever reason my aim seemed to be off that night. Jump, splat. Jump, splat. Dang, this is costing me gold now. Take off gear. Jump, splat. Jump, splat.

Meanwhile my guildy has shown up and is watching me. He's just flown down and is sitting on the ground on his flying mount. His flying mount. He asks me what he can do to help as he's not done this quest yet on any of his toons.

I don't know how long I laughed as I put back on my gear and flew up to the nest before I could bring myself to tell him what I just did. I think the problem was not enough beer that day.

And yes, we never did figure out who the guilty mage was. I have my theories...heh. The worst part about this was that our previous attempt was solid--around 8 percent before wipe.

Seems funny looking back on it, but at the time...not so much. heh.
