When buying primals, make sure you look up the motes as well. Bought some [Primal Shadow] today for 15-17g each - only afterward did I check the motes to see two stacks of 9 for about 10g each.

I had a low level (mid 40s) paladin ask me if I could help summon his friend. Granted, I was on my warlock, but a quick /who revealed the guy was in SW, and he expected me to come from Shattrath to SW, blow my hearth, and find another person to help summon. So I went to go reply back saying he would be better off finding someone in SW, and was going to explain to him how to search just in SW, and I found he had already ignored me.

Those who sit in our tank vent channel while raiding like to play a couple games during SSC.

Skulker Pong: Try to use the Skulker's 2nd target attack to pick off random ranged dps. Negative points if you get a healer. Many of our mages have taken to hiding among the healers during pulls that involve a Skulker.

Sea Witches: On the pulls with Sea Witches on the platforms, we try to knock each other off with their knockback. Anyone in the channel who gets knocked off into the water owes 5g to everyone else in the channel. Some of us have paid for an entire nights of repairs via this game.

Meh, I've been asked (while in IF) to come to Tanaris to help summon someone who was in Desolace. Sometimes you just have to marvel at people.

It wasn't even so much that he asked me while in a different zone. It's that he ignored me because I didn't reply fast enough to his liking, while asking me to inconvenience myself for his wants.

Oh yes, the flip side of Righteous Fury.

Spec Ret. OT some mobs in tank gear, done, put on your DPS gear, make sure you give yourself Salv, and proceed to bash in some skulls, amirite? 10 seconds later you realize you forget to click off Righteous Fury and you're down another plate repair bill.

Time for me to confess. I'm one of the many stupid mages out there that everyone hates because it seems like they have no grasp of situational awareness. :[ That said...

1) During a standard Kara run, I pulled Maiden by jumping up and down BEHIND one of the pillars. I was LOSed the entire time, but pulled her anyways. For further hilarity, the hunter in our group then MDed her to me during wipe recovery. I then repeated the same mistake the next week, and are now banned from moving off the wall when positioning for her. I've done various other body pulls ranging from Kara and ZA trash to Bog Giants in SSC. Needless to say I'm now one of the last people to move into range for pulls, just to make sure.

2) First time tanking Krosh, I had just set up a new UI and didn't have any range indication visible. I found out very quickly that going past that thing on the floor = Dead raid.

The best one NOT done by me though, would have to be our pally CL BoPing the tank on Tidalvess. Good times.

You just equipped a 2h'er on purpose to kill yourself. Don't lie.

On a series of low-dps attempts last night, we managed to get to Phase 3 about 20 seconds after raid mana had run out. I myself landed one of the final attacks that sent Reliquary to Phase 3...I had turned off Auto-attack with like 400 health left ("wow I'm lucky I didn't kill myself")...

And died to Deep Wounds ticks at the very last possible second. And yes, I had healthstones and potions up--though I prefer to save them for Phase 3.

Very fun stuff in here

long time reader, first time poster, so Hello all !

So here's the story : We're actually on Al'ar, and we're doing it with 3 tanks. One deals with the embers downstairs, and two of them are switching from one platform to another in phase 1. As a healer we warned them to stay very close to the edge so that they wouldn't be out of line of sight. And indeed, we wiped a couple of times because it seems to be a bit to much to compute for one of them

I think all of our 7 healers wisped him at the same time to yell at him to come closer to the edge. He got our point and did so well that he actually fell on the bottom floor. Too bad Al'ar was on platform 2 or 3.

Who hasn't set their pet on Mograin at the end of Cath before killing all the trash in between. The day I hit 70 I went back to see if I could solo the 30 or so mobs that aggro; I died a horrible death at the hands of mobs half my lvl

What's amusing about this is that I had to go and do the same thing. Only difference was, I went with my pocket tree druid and a friend who was coming along for the XP. Lifebloom + 30ish little scarlet knights = tons of fun.

Reading this thread and seeing reports of shaman who hit astral recall instead of ancestral spirit, I thought "no way that could ever happen to anyone that is paying attention!" So of course, I've managed to do it twice now, once leading to a wipe in a heroic black morass when, instead of ressing the priest I suddenly found myself back in the Aldor inn and the group was left entirely without healing classes.

The problem stems from my obsession with popping deviate delights at any available opportunity. Turns out that although normal female Draenei animations are different for hearth and res, the female human animations are the same for both. I've since switched my astral recall button to a macro which spams the default chat frame with "HEARTH IS NOT RES" every time I hit it.

No need for the druid honestly You can solo cathedral in 1 pull as both prot and holy (and ret in holy gear aswell I suppose).

And died to Deep Wounds ticks at the very last possible second.
I once killed myself on RoS with a fireball DoT. Deeply, deeply embarrassing.

On Illidan, I once hit blink rather than blizzard (bound to shift+4 and shift+5 respectively) in preparation for demons, landed extremely close to Illidan and then got a demon - along with the warlock tank. The raid realised this was bad, surged forward to save us (or maybe just the warlock, who knows - he is also our GM), flame burst...meh.

Scorching my own sheep when the click to the nuke target failed for whatever reason has also been embarrassing; I managed to wipe us on the first pull in a TK recruit attunement run this week.

Was putting up auctions on my bankalt the other day and right-clicked a stack of [Enormous Barbed Gill Trout] and sat confused for a moment when the 5/stack vanished from my bag and did not appear in the AH window. Thinking I had just encountered some new and not-before encountered system bug, I opened a GM ticket to report it and then switched to my main to farm.

So, 30 minutes later the GM contacts me on my main:
<GM> "Did you find your items?"
<Me> "No"
<GM> "Ah, well they appear to be equipped in your off-hand"

...
*sigh*

This less a good stupid story and more general stupidity I suppose. Was running Mana Tombs with a 67 rogue on my 64 hunter. I was putting out around 500dps over the instance, he was sitting at 230. I let it go because we were getting along fine enough.

After our second wipe on Shaffar (tank was getting stomped by magic), I finally inspected the guy and examined Recount a bit more closely. Turned out the guy had 43 points in combat, no weapon specialization, had a dagger MH and a sword OH, and was SSing with the dagger after opening with ambush.

I swear this game does not penalize stupidity nearly enough. That rogue also bailed after our second Shaffar wipe because he "couldn't take it anymore."

So we're doing Tidewalker. We have a prot pally heal a lifetapping warlock to aggro the murlocs. Normally works just fine.

One night though, the murlocs aggro on a pally that was healing the MT instead.

First time we chalked it up to just bad luck.

After the second time, we're trying to figure out what to do, since we can't jut let the MT die.

Then, over vent, "[MT healing pally], do you have righteous fury on? [long string of expletives] Why in any context would you, as a healer, have righteous fury up?"

At least we got him the third time...

Edit : Downward reply rather than up post count. He didn't have points in imp. right fury. Whatever was going on in terms of aggro and whether the prot pally should have been able to get them back off again, I dunno. Maybe there was the 130% vs. 110% aggro range issues, but all that changed in between was right. fury off and it made all the difference. We had never had a problem with that fight except that one time. So I maintain my claim that the pally was being dumb.

An excrutiatingly true statement. Teron Gorefiend and Archimonde would have single-handedly made me lose hope for humanity, had I not already lost said hope.

Is it *really* that hard to macro /cast Spirit Chains and /cast Spirit Lance?! Nearly every week someone gives the excuse of 'it didn't switch my bars when I became the ghost and I needed it to' or 'it switched my bars and I didn't know which button was spirit chains'.

Edit: At Bortson: If the paladin has points in Improved Righteous Fury there's really no reason *not* to have it up all the time. He'll take less damage from the Earthquake and Watery Grave, and it's preferrable to have a Paladin draw agro on Murlocs over Priests or Druids, anyway. There's no way the murlocs should have killed him before a Prot Paladin (also healing) should be able to pull off agro anyway.

Ya, I always healed with Righteous Fury up back when I was the holy type. With my mad amounts of armor and a shield, not to mention the bubble, I _want_ to be the first healer to get aggro. On a side note, why wouldn't you just stick the MT healing pally on top of the prot pally?
