We'd just downed Shade and were on our way up to Chess. I go up and pull the trash in that room at the top of the stairs, they come out, one target gets shackled.... and our other priest gets one-shotted. They wipe more than half the raid before the rogue and bear tank manage to gain control and down the rest. The reason? The priest's SW: D was right next to her shackle.

sadly ive been the one to do some silly things, in SSC i was the hunter pulling tidewalker everyone was ready so i Md'd the tank and steped foward to shoot getting to close (big agro range) and body pulling and never actually gettin a shot off and i died he reset. i how ever started busting out laughing with my guild. the funny thing was im survivalist so i have increased range on my bow silly me lol.

My fav thing to do was change my Md macros My Md macro was a standard
/Cast misdirection
/ra %t has been misdirected

well because it didnt have an assist in it id change it from %t to (enter some clothies name usually my good friend the mages) and cast Md on the tank i remember vent that night i was pulling trash to VR in TK (mage) OMG WTF ARE YOU DOING (me giggling) and him frantically searching for the debuff then laughing when i told him what i did o was fun for me!!

Sadly enough, regarding botched MDs, I was running kara to get some stuff for my alt warlock. On Illhoof I was on imps, and the two hunters were both supposed to MD the tank, back to back so that everyone else could go all out. Walk in to the room, and as the tank charges, I see the misdirection buff on me. Thankfully I clicked it off in time, but the hunter wasn't quite as lucky. He unloaded his first three shots and Illhoof came barreling towards him.

He barely tickles, the hunter should've survived at least two hits. More than enough time for the tank to taunt him off :-P

That reminds me of a heroic PUG I went to, quite a while back, on my warrior. Now, usually, it's prot, but that week, I decided to keep it arms for a bit of grinding Netherwing rep. So, anyway, heroic Shattered Halls, with a prot pally tank in decent gear.
Well, this particular hunter we got off LFG kept blatantly misdirecting stuff onto me despite my big, shiny two handed weapon. And I, with somewhat over 10 months of misdirecting experience at the time, kept dropping it before every pull. That run didn't end so well, because the hunter was on 0 durability by the time we reached the gladiator packs...

Black Temple, first time md pulling Sharahz, I hit up md, the raid starts chatting it up, a few seconds pass and I get told to pull, I walk up, arcane shot, (md drops w/o me knowing) auto shot, aimed shot, i pull aggro, feign, resisted, dead, they go on to kill her. I am win.

We had a Warlock lifetap during Spirit Bolts on Hex Lord.

SSC pug this weekend, we had a tank yell in vent that "I didn't get any heals for 15 seconds" on Lurker. I posted the Grim Reaper report from his death (Double Crushings). Twelve of the fifteen seconds he was complaining about were Spout. Then he forgot to hit shield block coming out of the Whirl.

On that note, don't try to tank Prince when you're still crushable, even if you're only just barely off. On our first attempt, we got him into Phase 2 (when he goes dual-wielding) and I was destroyed within a half-second of the phase switch.

Phase two is actually the portion I love because I can chain my two trinkets together and get hit about 1 in 10 times. I still think its funny that a big assed bear is more agile than a bi-pedal warrior or paladin.

A bi-pedal warrior dragging about 100 pounds worth of armor, and a 5 foot tall shield?

On that note... 2 weeks ago, I kept our group from beating our previous 2hr 7min clear time of Khara when we wiped on Prince...

Why?

Because I was so mana starved tanking him (T6 gear) that I resorted to sitting down, to make sure I got crit once, to get the healing to keep generating threat. It worked great the first 7 times (spaced out properly, full heals between, etc...), and no one in the group noticed I was doing it. Didn't time the 8th one right and he pasted me.

My group was looking at last few hits of mine, and kept saying: "Yen...you got CRIT! How in the hell did you get crit?!?!?!" I kept my mouth shut for the first 10 minutes, and they figured I was accidently in healing gear, till I finally broke down and told them. All-around laughter that still hasn't stopped, 2 weeks later. Everyone in the guild knows, and constantly asks if I need to sit or not.

He doesn't look agile to me and he weighs a good 800 pounds or so Sorry, I can't resist; those pictures crack me up for some unknown reason.

I just discovered that I've been walking around with Rank 1 Earth Shield for the last couple of weeks since I specced Elemental to help out some friends with Trials and then specced back. Obviously I forgot to train the higher rank...

I had been wondering why my Earth Shelds seemed to be costing less mana than usual...

I did that with my warlock too. I specc'd out of affliction and into 0//21/40 destro to see what the giant crits look like, and in the process didn't train up the ranks of shadowburn. Ran a BM to help a guildy out, and was thinking, damn, why can't I finish this add at 5% off with shadowburn?

My guild 7-manned Onyxia last night. One of our Warriors was aching to create his Quel'Serrar blade. We had a few attempts earlier with 5 people that failed, as the only healer was a Paladin and we had no AOE. We finally get her down, the Warrior had died to a deep breath and was rezzed immediately so he could use the blade on her corpse before the timer ran out. We get all the loot divied up, portal to shatt goes up, and I skin her for the scales. The Warrior cries out in vent......

He hadn't used the blade before I skinned. He kept his head though with a nice "Grrrr....I'll get it next week." I felt kinda bad, but he did have more than 5 minutes to do it while we were looting and chatting after the kill.

Not EXACTLY stupid, but freaking hilarious.

I'm Elemental, and I'm running Shadow Lab with guildies for shits and giggles, also rep. With us is our 1337 Feral Tank, a Resto Shaman, some kind of Lock, and our favourite Pally tank who'd just won Gorehowl the night before and so had gone Ret. Mind you, he'd been tanking Kara for so damned long that he had every piece of Ret gear out of there and then some.

So, we get to the Blackheart fight... The entire instance, I've been fighting to keep my DPS ahead of the Retadin's, a rarity for me; usually in PUGs I'm #1 by a comfortable margin. Well, the first MC comes along and he WTFpwns our healer. Two shots, no chance for recovery. He then runs up to me and I suffer the same fate.

It doesn't end there. For, you see, I ran back to the instance and as I'm in the hallway between the first and second room, I see the words "Entering combat". That's right, the encounter was still in action because our tank hadn't gone down yet. As I enter combat, I see the retadin running towards me, clearly aiming to zone out. I turn around and have the same idea, and about 10 steps from the door... "TIME FOR FUN!"

Yeah. I got WTFpwnt by a retadin twice in ONE FIGHT. None of the people who were there have let me live it down yet.

Some other highlights include a healer trying to herbalize a mushroom in the Hungarfen fight. Yeah, I'll let that one sink in for a bit.

I pulled a gloriously stupid move just a few nights ago, messing around in Shattrath. When I'm bored I'll fly to the top of the skybox and drop, and see how close to the ground I can engage my Skywitch's Drape and not die. Then I do the same with the Rocket helmet. Well, I decided this time, I would up the odds a little bit... I placed a Sentry totem before I flew up, and used the Sentry's perspective to time my activation. Worked like a charm for the Skywitch's Drape... For the Rocket helmet, well... I don't know what happened exactly, it might have been a lag spike or INCREDIBLY horrible timing, but I managed to activate the rocket helmet. Right as I hit the ground. I died as I shot up into the air, and fell down again at normal speed without the parachute buff. Now you know what happens: don't try it like I did.

I won't even go into the idiots I've run into while selling my Alchemy on the market, anyone with a marketable tradeskill knows what I'm talking about.

One last story, not really stupid but very amusing to me; a couple of weeks ago my server was undergoing some MASSIVE lag spikes; I mean 30-60 seconds of unplayable lag, every 15 minutes or so. Even so, we decided to push through Karazhan. The first spike hit right after Attumen died, and we couldn't loot him for a minute and a half. Same story with Moroes. It seemed to clear up for a while and we downed Maiden with no difficulty. Clearing the last room of trash before Opera, the lag struck again, right as I was looting... I lagged so badly that I had to relog in order to clear it up. Well, I log back in and I'm in Shattrath. I ask for a summon and get it, and as the two people who summoned me and I are running in, we're in the room under the stairs when we hear the encounter start. We don't make it before the door closes, so the three of us are stuck outside. The first Red debuff goes off... And I'm the little girl. I'm standing very close to the wall, so suddenly I see a wolf claw come ripping through the mortar and hit me for 7500 of my 8000 HP. I QUICKLY back away, and the event resets, saving us from the inevitable wipe. :-D

That's all I have for now. There are a lot more funny stories but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

If you go AFK right before a boss, I won't hesitate to misdirect it on top of you and tell everyone to run like hell. Not before FRAPsing the boss hurling toward your blank stare, though.

I realised about half a week after killing Vashj for the first time that I had never re-learned my spells after respeccing back to affliction from Leo-tanking spec the night before killing her.

Ironically, at the start of that run I had sent some priest back to ironforge to train their spells as I noticed they had a lower rank of DS.

I had a funny one the other night in Slave Pens (non-heroic, I'm only level 65). I got MC'd during one fight and proceded to turn, pop blade flurry, adreneline rush, and an attack power trinket all in a row and absolutly destroy the tank and one of the two hunter pets simultaneously. Then, to add insult to injury, when that hunter got MC'd himself, I blinded him immediatly. I made up for it though by evasion tanking the last mob or two that we still had to kill.

Did you know that half of the humanoid mobs of Magister's Terrace can't be Seduced? Well, neither did I, until the group leader started yelling at me for slacking off.

Did you also know that hitting Arcane Explosion before the paladin gets a Consecrate going on the Wretched packs is a good way to die? Our mage does... now.

And finally, did you know that the giant spinning lights that Kael'thas drops onto the ground are NOT a buff incoming? "But the big light in Kara gives a 20% damage buff!"

To teach and to learn, to laugh and make others laugh. This is my purpose, and any day in which I don't wasn't worth the time it took to get through.

Yesterday during the Sunwell trash clears. We were speculating in TS2 how whether the sentries have proximity aggro and how large the aggro would be while we were fighting a bloodelf pack. A rogue just walks into the next sentry since he wanted to test it right now and reports: oh they do aggro - thankfully we didn't wipe.

I learned my lesson after the first time i was in SSC never to die on the elevator. I've been accident free since!!

We usually mock the peron who dies in there throughout the raid so the new guildies quickly learn to avoid doing this

I can recall in our MC days when a particular priest when on a lengthy rant on TeamSpeak about people not having some 'auto-accept rez' mod installed. She complained long and loud that we were wasting her time by not having the mod and that she'd simply stop resurrecting people who didn't have it. A few pulls later she died on trash and a quick-thinking priest stepped into the lava and resurrected her. Much to the delight of the rest of the raid, her auto-rez mod fired and she quickly bit the dust in the lava.
