I was on an alt disenchanting piles of stuff I'd accumulated today, so I turned on auto-loot to make it faster. I then went to do Gruul on my main with a guild I PuG with a lot, and was rather mystified why he didn't have any Badges for me when I opened his loot window. I mentioned this in raid chat and was considering petitioning a GM when someone pointed out I'd looted them. They were indeed in my bags, and I assumed it was something new in 2.4 where Badges auto-loot to you.
I logged off after that, and was doing something when it suddenly hit me that I hadn't turned off auto-loot after logging off my disenchanting alt. Whoops.

We were doing Mother a few weeks ago when one of our less skilled Mages happened to be ported. I was mystified as to why all three people who got ported with him died, needles to say after closer inspection I had noticed that the poor fellow decided to make distance between him and the two other people who had been ported by running into the wall.
Maybe thats why I was not surprised when the same guy ran to the corner of the room during the Eagle in ZA and got us all killed. Pretty sad when you don't even get the first timed chest.

I've done this on my lock and watched Alliance be the victim of it, so I can pretty well guess how it goes. Contested AV or AB flags with warlocks on the other side.

I'd like to mess around by myself in MC from time to time. On my druid I'd put on some FR gear and climb-up the lavafall to the left of the beginning bridge. To do this I'd kitty prowl and hug the wall. After jumping into the fire I'd naturally come out of stealth getting aggro from the two Molten Giants guarding the bridge. They can't path to me at the time so I just happily try to climb the lavafall and heal myself quite often to keep myself alive. By the time I've made it up the fall to behind the instance portal (in BRD land) the giants had decided I wasn't worth the effort and reset.
Being behind the portal made for a fun experience during an MC raid. I had just snuck by the giants and was climbing the falls when the raid starts pulling. I really didn't think too much about this and hopped/healed my way up. Not too long later I made it-up.
Feeling pleased/waving at my raid from the otherside of the portal I wonder why am I still in combat? Soon I hear:
"Hey come back!!"
"Where are they going?""
"Why are they running out of the instance?"
I had generated quite the amount of threat from keeping myself alive since the giants didn't reset. Casting GotW didn't help either.
The oh sh** factor set in very quickly for me.
Thankfully I made it to the instance portal and zoned out before being clobbered.
One of our shaman that /waved back at me was laughing his head off being about the only other one with knowledge of what had happened. <3 Ihatyu

How does pushing my weapon swap macro instead of a Health Stone on Brutallus fare here? I exchanged (fortunately not under any debuff) my Bulwark with the Hyjal MH sword and realized I can't block or slam. Healing was great though!

Quite often while playing on the AH I will search for something and see a 20 stack of it for EXTREMELY cheap, like what a single one would normally god for. Then as I almost buy the item, I realize that I have the "show item price per unit" box checked in auctioneer.

This is a documented, intentional change in 2.4. Items that are bind-on-pickup but can only be looted by yourself will be looted automatically without the BOP confirmation dialog.

Epic wipe at 2%. I recorded it on fraps, but unfortunatly no vent so it was no use making a movie out of it.

Oh, I know, and I'm used to that. I just missed the "you loot badges" notification among the general spam, and since I don't run with auto-loot on, I was somewhat mystified where my badges went, since I didn't click them to loot.

I've finished the SSO dailies on the Isle, and decided to leave the SMV>Hellfire>Netherstorm>BEM>Nagrand>Skettis

It took me 30+mobs before I realize I missed out grabbing the SSO Netherstorm quest. /sigh

Sometime ago, a normal Shadow Labs run to help some of my guildies get geared up. I was in Kara/T4, they were in blues, so I was a bit apprehensive about over-aggroing, but Salvation helped out immensely.
Of course, being over-geared as I was, Blackheart the Inciter tore us a new one. We were running a melee heavy group (Myself, another rogue, Enhancement shaman), and I stupidly forgot to burn my cooldowns before the start of the fight. So, I get MCed, pop Blade Flurry + Adrenalin Rush, bam, other rogue and shammy drop dead.
Take two, I get MCed and decide to insta-gib the healer. Urgh.
Take three, I insta-gib the main tank. I somehow evasion tank Blackheart for a bit, then the second MC comes and I kill everyone due to their low health. I felt a bit mean when I vanished after that MC.
Other fun times include:
Mages frost novaing Murloc adds on Morogrim at his feet where I and two other rogues were stood, as well as our MT. A rogue dies, then before our off-tank can pick up the Murlocs, the MT gets smacked about by three Murlocs and Morogrim.
Playing Hydross table tennis, where two warlocks somehow overaggroed the Frost tank during a transition, with one being on one side of the flags, the other being near the bridge. 16 adds spawn, we wipe at 5%.
And my own stupid moment of brilliance on Netherspite. I had ordered Pizza online 30 minutes or so before we got to Spitey in the hope of it arriving before then. No dice. Doorbell rings at 80% in. I'd paid online for the food so I decide to ninja afk and run back upstairs. Lo and behold, Spitey has decided I'll be the lucky winner of a void zone, and on top of that vent and /rw is yelling with phrases like "MOVE OUT OF THE ZONE SHADON".
Netherspite still died, and I now order food one hour in advance of any raid whatsoever.

Aside from my tendency to scorch something instead of sheep it, two of the more recent amusements.
It's somewhat difficult to keep mages up with Fel Rage on Bloodboil, so the RL told us to turn and blink sideways towards the end if we were about to die. So with about 3 seconds to go on Fel Rage, I'm below 1k health and figuge it can't hurt. Except I hadn't paid attention to which way he was turned, or more importantly, the entirety of our melee standing to his side. The side I blinked to, which he then hit with Arcing Smash, killing off all the melee DPS and I think at least one tank. Thankfully he was at about 5% anyway and we killed him.
On Shahraz, the mages always use blink to buy a bit of distance on FA. Usually works pretty well, except this time. Another mage and I both get ported, at low HP, and both blink in the same direction (Away from the raid of course.) Both of us see we're at low HP and someone else is right on top of us, so we both Iceblock. So now we're both sitting about 1' from each other, at maybe 10% HP, with the beam merrily bouncing back and forth. I didn't even bother waiting to come out and die, just got up for a drink and came back for the rez once Shahraz died.

Last night was our first Prince kill, and it was almost a 1% wipe. We were burning him great, when we got a bad drop at 5%. So what do I do? Being the dummy that I am, I react on instinct and drag him AWAY from the raid. Half the raid dies trying to walk through the hellfire to get to me. Our warlock drain-tanked him for the last 1%.

Making yourself look like an idiot on your realm forums is always fun.
Oh, and having your target of target frames unable to display enough characters to disgintuish between Kalecgos and your MT's name... fun when you don't hear the vent cue and think you're just taunting it back from the NPC.

Third night of Attempts on Brutallus. The first two nights never made it past 4 minutes.
Attempts on day three are going great, third pull we hit enrage. DPS takes they're consumables and we go for it. One shaman who hadn't been there for the first few days drops a lust in the tank group mid fight. I think about saying something but figure I'll tell him after that he should save it. 15% hits and we're looking ok for dps. Rogue class lead asks said shaman to get ready to lust after he swaps him in. I tell him it's already gone, so they just keep going. DPS isn't quite there and we wipe at 1%.
A few bad attempts pass and then again we look like we're on the way to a kill 25% and the timer looks good. 20% hits and the Druid tank taunts off of me, I think great I can get in executes. Swap to DW, hit berserk stance. Only I fail and hit weapon swap again (right next to each other on the keyboard). Now the fun part x is my execute key. It is also my intervene key.
All of a sudden I'm trying to figure out why I'm in the wrong place, and why my debuff stack just got renewed!
Yeah Feeling very stupid I do the math and figure out that shield wall should be up long enough to get me to enrage when I start tanking again, and that after that nothing is going to save me anyway. It worked out to be a kill 12 seconds after enrage (10 seconds after he turned me into a puddle).

Last night on Kalecgos I was the 1st to die from a curse which wasn't decursed, so I said "WTF" in raid and thought ok they're doing alright we'll be fine.
I call for a bres and shockingly enough it was granted. I res and begin my dps cycle, unfortunately I wasn't thinking that I no longer had my spectral realm debuff on and was eligible to be teleported, 2 seconds later a large Explosion was seen in the center ring and many a WTF and wtg namelessone was heard on vent.
Definitely one of the dumbest things I've done.

Causing a wipe on 2.4 Magtheridon after the weekly BT clear was especially embarrassing. I was told to click a cube. Usually when we did Mags a year back I got the cube to the left of the door, and could DPS while basically standing at the cube.
This time I got assigned one of the cubes at the back, and since we tank him at the door, I had the novel experience of having to turn around and run back to the cube whenever it was my turn. Apparently counting cubes is beneath me, and around 30%, running back to "my" cube during an earthquake, I ran to someone else's cube, and clicked.
Being barraged for the first time on Illidan was also a somewhat epic fail. Having been told that Feign Death once again saves hunters, I was primed to hit it as soon as I saw the spell hitting me. Well, I get barrage, people are screaming "Fafhrd, Feign!"... and I die spamming by button. And someone asks "Did you just... drop a freezing trap?".
For the first time in 3 years of having Z be my FD and X be my freezing trap, I hit the wrong button.

Ok, so Guild Angst in taking its first runs into Hyjal, and we managed to drop rage on our second time through the gauntlet. We're all set for Anetheron's trash, so we get moving. Fast forward about 3 minutes, our palading has his shield suddenly break on him (his UI hides the doll), and so, thinking quick, he swaps to his FR set shield and continues to tank trash without any real issue.
Now, let us step it forward about an hour, we are on our fourth time through Anetheron trash having never failed to make it to him. First wipe was due to inexperience, and 3 healers caught a Swarm. Both of the others were when he decided to drop an Infernal onto our warrior tank and gibed him during the stun. During these attempts, though, the paladin noticed that he was taking way more damage from the infernal than he thought he would have been, and so we switch tactics a bit. We killed all but the very last one to keep strain off of the healers, with Melee staying on Anetheron full-time. We end up taking him down, which is when the paladin realizes why he had been taking so much damage.
Yeah, you guessed it. The only piece of FR gear he was wearing was that shield I mentioned earlier.

We're on our way to Illhoof, last boss of the night in Kara, leaving the only one we haven't downed (Netherspite) for the weekend. We get down to the room with the shadow pillagers and the imps, where the doorway to Illhoof is. Only problem is, a couple of us fell down, and instead of running out and being ported back up, we ran up to the other side of the room. Our main healer stepped too close to the room to cast Prayer of Mending, and she facepulled the pack. It wouldn't have been so bad, but we managed to play ping-pong aggro until half the raid was dead - first someone on one side would gain aggro, they'd kill that person, then someone on the other side of the room would have aggro and get murdered in similar fashion. It was the most hilarious wipe EVER.

We were running heroic magister's terrace, having gotten three of us to exalted and trying to get one of our buddies a shard for his enhancement set. So, the rogue is wearing a Shattered Sun pendant. And we're at the last pull before Kael, and our Pally tank is a bit lazy and likes to have a few things sapped. So our rogue goes to sap one...
Bam Arcane Strike. Raped.
Rezzed him up while we're all laughing our asses off on Vent and he's like: "You're shitting me right?"
Second time's a charm... no, no it's not. Arcane strike.
We rez him up again, and convince him to try one more time with the necklace on ("It's on its internal cooldown if you hurry!") Bam. Arcane Strike #3. He's made a macro to take it off when sapping now.

OK, so Guild Angst decided to give BT a first shot this week. We get to Naj'entus in short order, and he proceeds to farm us for epics for about 4 attempts.
So, we set up for attempt number 5, pull, and this attempt is looking good up until the first bubble pops. This is when our hunter leader takes about 3 steps back into the back-left corner of the room. The problem? 4 attempts takes more than 20 minutes, and the 2-elemental patrol had repopped. So, naturally, he stepped right onto them, and aggroed them JUST as the healers went into overdrive for the raid damage. Wipe ensues, though nobody knew why it happened until more than a third of the raid was very, very dead.
We ended up killing him 3 attempts later

Yeah, about that...
Last night when we were preparing for the first Naj'entus pull of the evening one of our mages body-pulled him (we assumed). There were vague mutterings that he was bugged in some way, and that he'd been pulling Zul'jin from silly distances the previous night in ZA and that something must be wrong with his character.
Doing some Supremus trash later in the night we were a million miles away from the boss and were drinking/buffing when suddenly Supremus decides to join the picnic - pulled by the same mage again.
Thankfully some clever raider asked him what neckpiece he was wearing - the SSO Exalted neck of course.
Apparently it's bugged and
a) will proc off anything and
b) has a range of 50k yards

I know one of our shadow priests said that the SSO necklace procced for him on logging in yesterday. Thankfully no pulls yet because of this.
On the other hand we had two or three pulls of Felmyst flying above us and priests trying out mass dispell range with nifty animations instead of just the selection circle.
