While getting into position for Eradar Twins some people have trouble standing in one place and keeping their distance before the fight starts.
The greatest excuse for a premature pull ever..

Haha I had the ultimate stupid moment in MC at one point.
We were buffing up and getting ready to pull Shazzrah, and waiting for Baron to pace on by so we could pull. Ever the anxious dog, our Raid/Guild leader, who is a hunter, ran up to her and pulled..... using multishot. Of course one of the stray shots hit Baron, and our poor, poor leader didn't hear the end of it for weeks

We killed illidan on a tuesday night and one of our fury warriors was ecstatic that she was exalted with ashtongue... (she's very excitable :P so made a big deal out of it... ) anyway, it was all vivid in our minds that she was exalted.
The next day we started BT again (fresh reset because its a wednesday) on najentus and our raid leader is screaming at her to loot his spine on vt. She freaks out and goes what? what spine? and then we had to explain to her for the rest of the fight about the spines breaking tidal shield. Seems she thought that tidal shield was on a timer or something.
I found this hilarious that someone can exalted with an instance and not know how to kill the first boss just shows theres still a huge amount of carrying even within 25 man raids, the carry must have been epic in 40mans :P never really noticed it though

When we wipe on kalecgoes and I have to reset, I'll don my engineering rocket boots extreme, flip on pack and just spam reset him until I get the word that we are actually ready for a pull. Well, rockets boots are faster than epic mounts ridden by paladins. Bear that in mind.
So I normally run up about a quarter of the way to him, he aggroes and I feign. Simple enough, non? The boots make this fun, you can actually run right below his head and feign BEFORE he aggroes. That's right. I'm too fast for bosses in SWP. Unfortunately, my bag was full and noone wanted to summon me, so...we all pretty much know how this ends for me.
He also has a much better chance of aggroing you if you are behind him than if in front.
Not really stupid, but with the wierd timing of FD (instant, but not) I really should not waste elixirs/food/scrolls/pet food and the like before going to mess with him lest we are pulling soon. I've wasted so much money that way.

We're just starting to run two teams in Karazhan; the first team is farming for badges and any remaining pieces of T4 or random epics they may want to help us as we start in ZA. We get to Opera, and it's Big Bad Wolf this week. Piece of cake, you say. Well, our ranged somehow forgot to stay AT range at the beginning of the fight. I go talk to the granny, get to the end of the convo, and then I pop wings and drop consecrate to have aggro when I start the event. I get aggro, sure enough, but two seconds later he casts Red Riding Hood on one of our poor doomkins standing over my shoulder. *CRUNCH* One dead doomkin later and we're underway.

Then proceed to blame me for blowing him up when I turned around and ran away to AVOID blowing anyone in the raid up *sigh*

You are the BOMB
Our naxx guild did pug MC runs for alts and the fun of it.
On Baron Geddon One person did not move when he got the living bomb so we asked him after the fight why he did not move.
He said: when i got the message "<name> YOU ARE THE BOMB!" i just thought that i was realy realy good, just the BOMB!
Someone aperantly did not pay attenetion to the pre engagement tactics.

In MC, we would offer 50g to the person who could blow up the Guild master on geddon, and only the guild master, if you fragged anyone else, you didn't get the price. It never happened sadly.
Also had a warrior go afk for the fight, so everyone just bombed him, and healed him, over and over. Was the first kill with no deaths. "Run away from the raid if you get the bomb" doesn't work, but "run over and try to kill Nippeli, if you get the bomb" had everyone on their toes.

I actually went the other week to one of those sunday afternoon MC runs with a random pug. We were still killing the trash before Geddon when the MT pulled him. Since no one seemed to have the 'pre-TBC' modules for BigWigs it took several explosions in the middle of the raid before people realised we're doing the boss.

My alt Talnath apparently introduced a 70 Blood Elf rogue to his first Felguard yesterday in AV...
I decided to try to guard Snowfall for a change of pace off the initial zerg. I put Jhunngun right on the flag on Stay/Aggressive and went to hide behind the tree overlooking the flag on the south side of the hill. I'm expecting to be able to use my pet as an Intercept bot on druid or rogue attack on me, and target/confusion for anyone else riding up the slope so I can get off a Fear and dot load.
A rogue wouldn't attack the felguard without CC'ing the warlock first, right? Right? They can scout around and find my not-so-stealthy self first, right?
Belf rogue proceeds to open with Cheap Shot on felguard right under my nose. After I blink my eyes a couple times, I Immolate and CoA/Corruption him. Finally realizing that the felguard isn't on its own, rogue comes at me...and pops CoS before stunning me. Rogue learns that CoS doesn't stop felguard beating.
Count to five, Deathcoil. Fear. Dot dot Immolate Incinerate Drain while felguard continues to beat on him. Didn't end well for the rogue.

Grouped with a 41 point in combat rogue who managed not to put any points into any weapon spec. He used a sword and a dagger, and SSed with the dagger for the entire instance. It made my brain hurt.

Our guild's first Kael'thas kill started pretty inauspiciously.
On the previous attempt, one of the hunters was having disconnect problems ad logged out in the middle of the fight. Anyway, we wipe and all ran back and start buffing for our next attempt. Then the hunter is able to get back on and logs in to Vent. None of us thought anything about it.
See where this is going?
Well, when he logs in to WoW, he is alive and well...in proximity to Kael, which starts the encounter. So Kael stars in on his opening speech, and our healers are at about half mana, half buffs. Some people have taken their stat food. So we all scramble to get what buffs in that we can before Thaladred starts. We must have recovered well enough, because that was the attempt that got us our first Kael kill. But yikes, what a nerve-wracking way to start an attempt.

Our first ever Kael kill, I was MT for Kael, holding shield and dagger in weapons phase and tanking the fear guy in advisors phase. Our strat involved me dragging the shield over to the p3 tanking spot for when the advisors pop, then grabbing Sanguinar. I did this fine, then after hitting Sang for a while I remembered I had to grab a shield off the weapon corpse. _Just_ as I go to click on it, it despawns... This is not going to make handling the pyroblasts easy I think, and for a second or two I'm gutted that I've basically wiped the raid.
Then I scroll up to check, and notice our prot pally grabbed a shield, to help with phoenixes. After a quick /w he hands it over, everything gets back on track and we get a pretty clean first kill. I didn't mention anything to anyone else until after we're standing over the corpse, at which point everyone found it very funny, and not incredibly stupid as it would have been had it caused the wipe.

Man you think that was bad? We had an initiate rogue way-back-when and analysed some data from him on Gruul where he was unexpectedly low. While MH dagger he was SSing and we were all like "so, uh, why are you Sinistering with the dagger?". Before I tell you his answer, let me note that he's the reason we then applied "over 20 years old only" barrier on our apps afterwards.
"I was? Sorry I meant to Shiv."

You know, it's probably some 10 year old kid having the time of his life. It's one thing to plaster an armory of someone you know, or at least know of, but it's another to do it to a total stranger.
I just don't see the point.

Let's just refrain from "hilarious" armory links - everyone could easily find a similar profile by spending about 10 minutes looking around Shattrath.

I just saw his spec point alignment on the equipment page and I was thinking to myself "thank god he at least put 3 points in frost" thinking it was for Elemental Precision.
I was wrong.
Hey look on the bright side, with the way things are headed, he might be in your 10-man pug to kill Arthas next year .

A friend of mine did a Magtheridon pug recently (so this is mostly word of mouth, but...). A mage in the group managed to die to the box damage from full health well before the nova time. The kicker: he wasn't even assigned to clicking boxes. :/

Talking about silly specs, this reminds me of a dps warrior that applied to our guild pre-TBC. He had sword, axe, polearm and mace spec all incorporated into his "build". We had quite a few laughs over that one.
