Using the Alliance base Hyjal entrance just after you've killed Anetheron and spoken to Jaina. Always gets 3-4 people.

Turning to the wrong side in the arena and seeing the gates open at the other side. Happened to us at least three times.

Not so much stupid but more me being a prick.

Telling the MT on a broodlord farm kill that i was stopping healing him at 20% and thus he would die. There are meant to be about 6 healers on him, but he still died at 1% with me sitting at nearly full mana, he was a little pissy at me.

Healing someone on Patch wipes in the slime so they took dura loss (this was always the same guy, and happened to be the guy all us priests killed on Nef)

Snowballing the MT on the anubisaths pre-emps when they were exploding at 10%, the MT used to love telling us how terrible we were for dying to the explosion and that lag was no excuse, i got him quite a few times before he realised what i was doing, despite me asking quite obviously in raid chat to be put in his group and to borrow some snowballs :P

On my hunter i've pulled ebon and the other dragon, i can never remember which one that is

SWDing the curator in his vulnerable stage is always a good one, as well as SWDing netherspite when you have the dmg beam

Dispelling arcane torrent from the mage telling everyone he's the king of DPS

We were transfering to the test realm back when Naxx was on PTR, and our GM was giving us the guild banks stash of flasks to copy over with, each got about 40 flasks of various sorts. 3-4 of us, me included, accidently drank one, 1 guy even managed to delete and entire stack, we had to do some guild farming that week ><

I keep the H key on my keyboard bound to Auto run, and its horrifying how many sentences have an H in them (normally very close to the start) when you forget to open the chat box first.

This has resulted in several stupid pulls, from random trash all the way through to Prince (must have been a late one, as thats a bloody long walk).

It starts out a bit slow (3 min total), but get's pretty good. Warning, def not safe for work language.
That was perhaps the most amazing WoW movie I've seen in a long long time.

We were among the guilds to handle Sapphiron quickly by running 1-2 learning raids and then just buff so immensely as to compensate for lacking experience.
While going for our second Sapph kill, fully flasked and world buffed, we're doing perfect and at 40%. During a flight phase, I become an iceblock and 8 people hide behind me. Apparently, I was standing on slightly uneven ground because the blast kills all 8 people behind me and leaves me unharmed. None of them were Gnomes and our MT was among them, so that turned into a quick wipe.
Since then, Noggenfoggers have been mandatory on all Gnomes for every world buffed try.

We were learning Chromaggus just after the hotfix which caused time lapse to wipe aggro (still presumed to be a bug at the time), and we had the poor luck to get time lapse both the two first weeks, which owned us bad due to those aggro wipes with no strategy to deal with them. We saw an infrequent combat log entry for the tanks: "You cast Time Lapse on Chromaggus."
It was reasoned that this even was connected to the aggro wipe and we proceeded to try and make the tanks unable to "cast Time Lapse". This was about a month after Halloween so we found that bat-form was the only one to allow physical skills while disallowing casting. We had a number of early wipes with our MT in bat form and seriously petitioned a GM, requesting vast amount of halloween bat wands to circumvent the "bug".

At Geddon, some people like to say that the bomb can only be dispelled by the raid leader, and that the dispel has a 5 yard range. Alternatively, just raidroll the bomb.

During our first Naxx raid, I knew Grobbulus wasn't supposed to be the first boss, and couldn't resist checking if he was attackable. Pulled something like 10 packs of cleaving trash, along with 1-2 bosses.

Hunters playing Russian roulette at Golemagg bridge. Take turns shooting - first FD resist wipes the raid.

"Run away! It's going to Explode!"
"Explosion in 5 sec!"
"Run ffs!"
*People stare aimlessly*
*Boom! Half the raid dead*

Pulling Ebonroc, which was always quite the loot pinata for us, only to realize that all 3 tanks forgot their cloaks.

I don't believe we ever had a Thaddius kill which wasn't followed by the entire raid blowing up.

We were lacking DPS at Loatheb and found that our #1 issue was the ignite roll dying due to lack of debuff slots. After spending 2 wipes to get hunters out of the habit of using hunter's mark, someone decides it would be good use of a debuff slot to cover Loatheb in pink rose leaves for 2 minutes.

Running Karazhan, and we skipped a patrolling usher - which we did every week, since he's easy enough to dodge. Cleared Opera, and were working out way through the Philanthropist trash when our warlock suddenly says on vent "WTF GUYS!" and...bang, she's dead. Much confusion occurs on vent.

The vent confusion gets a lot worse when our MT/raid leader suddenly starts yelling about an usher. But there isn't an usher anywhere in sight! Come to think of it...there isn't an MT anywhere in sight either. And his health is dropping. And he's not in LOS of our heals...

The MT hits shield wall and yells at us to jump off the balcony right now. Which we do. Right into the uncleared audience trash. (It's hard to say who's less pleased; the MT at seeing the raid run up dragging friends, or the raid at having the MT apparently order us to commit suicide.) By the time we've regrouped, about 1/3 of the raid is dead, 1/3 is convinced that the MT has lost his marbles and is trying to kill us all, and the remaining 1/3 is just confused as hell. Still, we rally, kill the trash, and even down the usher and then during the corpse run/rebuffing period we try to work out what the hell just happened.

As most people here probably know (but we did not), ushers have the same "teleport on aggro gain" mechanic which Onyxia and some AQ40 bosses have. Apparently an unlucky Seed of Corruption tagged the usher through the floor who promptly teleported and one-shot the warlock, and then he started working his way through the raid, starting with the MT. In retrospect quite simple, and yet at the time...

Since then we've made a point of killing all ushers, no matter what.

Spreading out to avoid the rain of fire from the packs after broodlord. Get too close to the edge which only matters when certain mobs with higher agro radius path close. Half of the suppression room + a lab pack is always good for a laugh.

I am the type of warlock that gets bored easily. So I body pull ebonroc and flamegor while the tank bloodrages to get agro. Sometimes they just 'accidently' clicked too slow.

I know the name of one Warlock's imp, because he's been on aggressive far to often. DAMN YOU KUPQUA!!

On Anub, our tank decided to drink a Noggenfogger so he'd get Skeleton....while he was kiting Anub. Well he got Slowfall instead. (To the raid, he made up some BS about how he was standing in the acid)

One of our feral druids is a clicker on Mag. And right after 30% or so he always casts tranquility. Well one time we wiped at around 25%, and we're trying to figure out what's going on. Turns out he was focusing on getting ready to cast Tranquility, and forgot to click.

RIGHT after I bitched at people at how you can only die to spout if you're stupid I died to spout.

Also, right after I told people to not follow the MT on Hydross as he's using an invis pot, I followed the MT on hydross and pulled him.

One time one of our paladins had an extra bottle of Mana Oil, so on vent very loudly he asks another Paladin, "Can I oil your weapon?" 2 seconds of complet silence followed by laughter.

We had a bit of an incident at Archimonde a couple of weeks ago.

Running back from a wipe in which someone had DC'd alive, we made what we thought was the sensible choice of waiting at the Archimonde portal in the "lobby" area of Hyjal. We assumed the DC'd player would login, die, and we could then run in and wait on them.

Little did we know Archimonde had the power to reach outside his own time into the lobby. The cries of "WTF" and "ARGH" on vent, accompanied by disappearing players were closely followed by the cries of "RUN FOR IT". A very hasty and poorly planned retreat was made from Hyjal that night.

about a year ago, when i played a dps warrior in a alliance guild, we just killed fankriss and were handling loot to go to huhuran, one of the dead ppl was our rogue cl.

We move upto the huhuran trash, our rogue cl didnt receive a res, or didnt accept it.
we have one of our hunters ready to pull the first trashpack, while we hear "oh *mumble*"
While standing there waiting for the patrol to hit the spot i see the rogue dead again.
Instead of asking for a summon he decided he would just stealth through the tunnel.

Whilst the entire tunnel is running for us, the hunter allready pulled the first pack.
small moment of glory for me there, as i wacked on a shield, bloodrage and get a aoe taunt shieldwall off. rest of the raid handled the shit coming out of the tunnel and i managed to be kept alive by my healers.

Such good memories.

Hehe, yep, MT was Z and Xeno was the other guy we all did harsh stuff to. Xeno didn't live through Nef for quite a period there. Sanchez used to know which priests would kill Xeno and put them in his group so he couldn't vanish and sprint away from us.

We had a mage combine the portals in AV + fankriss tunnel. Dropped a thunderbluff portal with the whole raid stacked up right after the gauntlet, right before fankriss. To this day we still don't know who did it. Spelled the end of that raiding night, however, as 20 people were whisked away in a moment.

I think my favorite "wtf" moment is still from BWL when our GM/Raid Leader/MT died on Ebonroc at least 5 times, getting a combat rez every time (we had a lot of druids). He was going *off* on the healers, yelling and ranting about how incompetent we were. There was a pause as he let that sink in, and then one of the priests says "hey Jenedan, where the fuck is your onyxia cloak?"

A few from my old guild when I was horde.

We of course had the occasional "one of the tanks for ebonroc doesn't have his cloak."

On Firemaw I had forgotten to change my legs to my Dark Iron legs tanking and went in with sub capped FR. Fortunately I died to something else early so only one person who had noticed ended up knowing.

We had a ragnaros attempt night going, and I pushed my vent key and said "Everyone ready, any issues, can I pull" or something like that, and was greeted with like 2 mumbles on vent. Assuming that meant it was okay, I pulled. Vent then goes "Uhh I guess Lodekim's pulling?" and things went bad. Turned out my mic was muted.

In Ret I'm sure we've had our fair share of someone pulling aggro on a horsemen, and in BWL while on complete farm, having just rerolled, I somehow got myself killed by the post firemaw packs 3 times in a row by just being stupid and running up and getting wrecked by all the goblins at once.

Recently, on one of our early attempts on Illidan, I decided I wanted to turn him, and turned my back just as he cast Shear. That was GG. I also died about 30 seconds into an Ouro kill because I just kinda ran up and got sandblasted in zerker stance (I was still pretty poorly geared) immediately after a knockback that I didn't notice the warning for. Still got my Conq legs though =D

Recently, a friend (70 feral druid) and I (70 fury warrior) took a level 56 friend (rogue) through Undead Strath for kicks.

We get to the Baroness, and I consider saying something about the MC, and maybe I should take off some gear, but... eh... not a big deal So like 2 seconds into the fight I get MC'd, turn on the rogue and 2 shot him. "Uhhh... what just happened???" I then get on the druid. I hit him once, he went into bear, hit him a couple more times and he was down.

The Baroness finally let me go and I finished her off, but... killing friends while MCd is priceless. Even at 60, I always had to take my gear off for that fight, just in case. I think the difference between a clothie and a warrior is the warrior always WANTS to be MCd to see how many he can take out before he gets ganked ;p

Two-manning Stratholme at 70 with a Discipline/Holy Priest friend on my (at the time) Protection spec'd pally was rather painful. Then we hit Baroness. I got MC'd, he had no chance of hurting me to the point where he could get the MC off, I healed baroness while I was MC'ed, and we ended up just zoning out, iirc.

So then we said "Whatever" and I went in to solo it. When she hit 1%, my Priest friend decided to get his chuckles by stealing the KB with a Holy Fire...as soon as it landed, she MC'd him and had him heal her. Keep in mind, it had taken several minutes to get her health down to 1% and I wasn't exactly likely to get my friend down quickly. I think it ended with me feared into a group of mobs, giving up, and running for the exit.

My all-time favourite memory of Zul'Gurub - above and beyond the first Hakkar kill we had - has to be getting a mind-controlled-from-the-voodoo pile kill on one of our hunters. As a resto-druid wearing healer gear. Apparently the hunter was AFK without telling anyone, because I dropped him with a hurricane. The rest of the healers were either AFK'ing or deliberately not healing him.

On the subject of "dumb things to do", don't let your raid's main assist be responsible for the crowd-control on MC'd players. Normally, with ZG piles, my old guild was pretty organised - if there wasn't a hunter trap waiting for me to stand on while looting, there'd be a mage waiting to sheep me. Except the time when one of the rogues decided to stunlock me. Pity he was the main assist - and none of our ranged DPS were paying attention. I opened the pile, got MC'd, the rogue stuns me - and what looked like every damn ranged DPSer in the raid woke up, went "Holy crap, the MA is in combat!" and opened up on his target, the unbuffed resto-druid. Splat.

Have one of the tanks for Ebonroc get killed repeatedly (4 times, actually) during the same attempt after subsequent battle rezzes. "Why am I getting 1 shot every time?" he asks. Maybe you should wear an Ony cloak.

On almost the same page, did any other guilds have a rule that everyone inspected everyone else before Nef was engaged to make sure everyone is wearing their Ony cloaks? Our MT/raid leader/guild leader told a few people to put their cloaks on before the first attempt of the night, only to get 1 shot as soon as Nef lands because he didn't have his own cloak on.

Learning Twin Emps, about 30 seconds to go until the enrage and a fire mage pulls aggro on Vek'lor with an ignite tick (or whatever the dot is called) and the Emps heal 2%. We get everything back in position in time for the next teleport and just after it happens, I die to Vek'nilash due to not using shield block due to all the commotion in vent and repositioning going on.

Oh, one other thing that I find pretty humorous (and still do to this day.) Get dagger rogues in trouble for being so low on SWS damage done by never letting them get behind the mob. Always fun getting hateful tells from dagger rogues
