Spreading out is so hard on people, apparently. To this day, while clearing to Leotheras, we'll tell people not to back away from mushrooms and into adds. And every week, we wipe at least once to someone doing just that.

Taking peoples alts through Sunken Temple at 60 was always pretty awesome. Jamalalalalalan's MC turned you into a troll with a damage increase etc.

Back in the day, they forgot to lock out some spells from being cast while MC. A couple of people on my server were trying to two-man the Princess in the Silithus tunnels. Pally got MC'ed and put DI on the Princess. So the warrior that was with him suddenly saw the Princess one-shot his healer and turn invulnerable...

Quite some time ago, running through the trash up to Murmur in SL. I have the Summoner Poly-ed... then I get MC-ed and cast Polymorph on our Healer which releases the Summoner who promptly pops out a new mob and we soon wipe.

Better: Hunter FD's on Fankriss wipe. We all run back and are buffing in Sartura's room. Hunter stands up, gets aggroed by a couple bugs from the bug hallway. FD's again. The following happens:
"Damn it, bugs aggro'd me. Had to FD again"
"... Guys why am I in combat?"
"Me too, what's going on?"
"Why did I just get dismounted"
At which point the entire tunnel showed up to say hi. Funniest wipe I've ever experienced.

The Fankriss tunnel is always good for some laughs:
Guild was clearing to Huhuran. I was still playing my Rogue, and had forgotten my NR gear. As I was coming back, instead of asking for a summon to the raid, I decided to stealth through the tunnel.
I accidently agroed some bugs, and decided to vanish them off. All of a sudden they started to run into the wall.
Whoops.
Few seconds later vent and raid chat were filled with "why are bugs warping on top of us?". Somehow we managed to survive and I even managed to stealth through and sprint to the raid in time to help out. Quite humorous.

We discovered you can summon MC'ed people at Leo, who then appear before you and RP walk back to him without agroing. Makes for convenient gankage. ;-)
Fankriss tunnel wipes produced a term unique to our guild, called the "Vodak Moment" (for the hunter that did it). He feigns during a Fankriss wipe, then pops up, sees the tunnel agro, then has the good smarts not to fake it again. Whole tunnel agros on to the raid, people die, the wipe is glorious.
Then people started coming back from d/c, killing people who had just run back in - again, made the wipe legendary.

You can summon them using the meeting stone too - for a fairly painless way out of that bug.
MC is supposed to drop when the boss resets, but occasionally you get someone stuck in MC.

A mage trying to show Magtheridon's blast nova effect by blast waving in the northern side of Magtheridon's room and locking all of us there was a good laugh, although bad repair bills.
I used to drool at people who failed the Thaddius jump until I had a spike myself just before the jump.
Also wiping at chess event is a great success too.

My mage friend had a lot of fun with the unlimited range bug on Arcane Missiles. His favorite game was to use the little snake critters in Zul'Gurub to pull Hakkar from the southern side of the lake. You see the angry red text, rawr big parrot/dinosaur/snake thing and then he evades bugs and goes back. Lots of laughs for everyone, thrills for the new raiders, etc.
One day, we had just cleared Jindo and he decided to do it again. Apparently, the lack of a bridge on the south side is what prevents Hakkar from liquefying the raid. On the north side though, Hakkar is more than happy to come over and wafflestomp you for your hubris :P
While not wipe causing, the interaction between mind control from the ZG Voodoo Piles and Blade Flurry multiplying damage in some strange way resulted in numerous rezzes for the unwary.
Also, do not fall asleep while trying to run up to Aran's room. You either pull mobs or commit suicide. I've done both.

Haha we had the exact same thing happen. Everyone panicked but our raidleader began yelling "Stand your ground!!!" all 300-style and we managed to AoE them down without wiping. I even frapsed it.
Definitely the best tunnel clear we ever did.

Back in the MC days we had about 6/7 mages, all who were either fire or frost, of course. one time one of our mages accidentally cast AM on a Corehound. The raid leader saw it and proceeded to rip him out for playing stupid. The rest of us did not exactly like that, and the rest of the instance, every mage was AMing the entire time. I was the class leader, and Ochat that night was some of the funniest things i have ever seen in this game.

Did you guys know Ouro doesn't have a leash? We found this one night back wiping to bugged C'thun. End of the night, someone runs into Ouro's room - oh great. Half the people were still running back, so it just became Ouro chasing everyone in the instance down one by one until nobody was left. We actually made it all the way to the Prophet's door, however he still got us. Very reminiscent of Tremors.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it used to great extent by a large number of arcane mages, usually with 2piece T5, right now?

Great thread. Some of our moments over the last two years:
1) "Accidentally" dotting a mob on the top level of the suppression room. Ow.
2) Huh, Chromaggus brings friends with him when you send your imp after him ... 3 big dragons.
3) Hunters FD at the end of the Fankriss tunnel. Somehow their pets end up deaggroing, but then aggro the elite bug respawns. People are zoning back into the instance, running back, or (in my case) are actually back to Sartura's room. Suddenly 300 mobs go *flying* through the air (literally flying, 40'+ off the ground) in a continuous, uber stream of fun towards the entrance. When they aggro'd, the entire raid was put in combat, and people at the entrance had healed themselves (as you tend to do) as they zoned in. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time.
4) Chaining a C'Thun beam intentionally to see how high you can get the final tick.
5) Similar to someone above, you can somehow aggro Gluth without actually entering combat, so his decimate timer is ready when you engage. Instant death.
6) "Alright guys, get ready to run through the tunnel. HoTs up. 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... " <runs> "Hey, where's Abigaile?" (our MT at that point) ... "Uh, guys ... I'm in the frogger tunnel". Needless to say, it's not too easy to fight Gluth missing a tank.
7) Seed of Corruption. Z-axis, X-axis, Y-axis ... doesn't matter. Use it in the upper Ball Room ... aggro's the entire Maiden hallway. Use it on the Phil. packs -- aggros the packs above you. Use it *anywhere* in Karazhan ... aggros something you don't want.
8) One of our paladins does a lot of bouncing. He bounces here, there, everywhere ... while waiting for pulls. Apparently BoSalv and rank 1 Consecrate are next to each other. <Gate crashes down>. "WTF?! Who aggroed?!" "Uhm ... me ... consecrate is good, right?"
9) Using 2 tanks on Rag, engage. First knockback sends the OT flying. Second knockback sends the OT flying. Third knockback sends both tanks flying, OT is lost somewhere in the lava. Inspect him? 125 FR. Forgot to change gear sets.
10) Same tank as #9. Engage Vael. First tank is fine. Second tank ... gets basically 1-shot. Examine him? 125 FR. His excuse this time? "I thought I'd try a regular tank kit and see if it made the tanking easier." ...
11) "OK, <hunter x>, go shoot Morogrim and ... <ROD OF THE DEEP>". "WTF? Who did that?" <random mage gets 1-shot, Morogrim resets>. The number of times we've asked the hunters to go shoot him and as they are about to, a mage commits suicide while running across the room ... can't even count it.

We were doing alt Karazhan and were at Nightbane. After 2 wipes we got our act together and around 5% left on boss one of our alt Paladins dies right after he said in VT to secure the kill with Improved Lay on Hands. Right after the tank looses agro and wipes the whole raid and for some reason tank doesnt die... Yes, the Paladin had DI and Lay on Hands buttons right next to each others.

After one of the wipes on Vael my previous guild was lining up to take another attempt. Meanwhile one of our Warlock's cats decided it would be a good idea to jump up on the keyboard. It happened to land right on one of the keys for a dot and needless to say approximately 6 seconds later everyone was about ready to skin said cat.
In a similar vein, one night while doing the Razorgore event we noticed suddenly that Razorgore just stopped moving. When someone asked on vent our controller just went, "Uhh, my mouse just died." Razorgore then came free and proceeded to eat the raid alive.
As a result of these two occurrences that we can rightfully say we have been wiped by both a cat and a mouse.

After countless vael wipes because of someone shooting him during buffs I got in the habit of resetting the dmg meter imeaditly. I can't remember how many times I had to post it in raid chat and then yelling at the only person on the meter. The next guild I was in buffed outside vael's room.
One of our rogues got really bored waiting for a cpl of people while getting ready to clear the trash before twin emps. Ran up to them stealthed, and then /yell FREEDOM! right as he popped evasion and all his CDs to try to solo it for fun. People were very upset that he did not know the mob would then agro onto us. (Many people still believe he killed us on purpose)
I can't tell you how much more trouble it is to beat a boss under an enrage timer, with a tank using rank 1 skills.
Officer A yells at everyone for pulling agro on the last wipe. Officer B backs him up. Run in, Officer B lands a lightning bolt crit before the tank even gets a melee off.
Rogue A tries to push phase 1 dps against thaladred to his limits, and doesnt get out in time before the gaze CD, gets gazed and dies. Standard stuff. What made it funny was the 3 other ranged people standing right next to him that also died imeaditly after.
Telonicus phase 1. A tank d/c's and we are waiting for him to reconnect. A bunch of us get bored and start running around the same circle as the hunter kite-tank. Officer C yells at everyone to stop being stupid + risky. Officer D says 'no, it's easy, watch me do it'. Dies like 5 seconds later.

Aggroing those stupid yellow bugs in the twin emporers room. We had several people with macros that we spammed at the start of the encounter and we told people to remove all their AE abilities from their bars. Still had yellow bugs aggroed a disturbing portion of the time.
The first trash pull in the Deathknight wing prompted this macro of mine.

I remember in MC my old GM had a standing bet that if anyone could kill him with the Geddon bomb, he'd pay them 50g.
Every single week, we'd end the Baron fight with about 5 people alive and 30 failed suicide bombers lying on the ground. In 6 months of MC, nobody managed to kill him.

Back during ZG, we had just finished I think the Tiger boss, and we headed down to the area with all the beer. I had the materials to summon Ghaz'ranka, and since I was trying to get more bag space to carry more beer/junk drops, I figured I could combine the fish and the lure. Unfortunately I did not know that summoned Ghaz'ranka, I thought you combined then had to cast the lure to summon. There were a bunch of "Did someone hear a splash?" on vent, followed by a giant sea monster throwing everyone in the air and eating us all.
Though that was so long ago, there are still people that will never let me forget it.
