I just can't get excited about the class. It doesn't seem that there is any niche that could possibly work in game that isn't already filled by some other class, especially in PvE.
Currently there are 4 healer classes but only 3 tank classes. DK fills that 4th tanking class.
Transform your hero's look with new character-customization options, including new hairstyles and dances.
I'm really hoping they allow me to change the hair on my current character, I'd love to be able to change my hair not to clip through every headpiece I've found. New dances shall be...Interesting.

Tolkien should just rise from the grave and sue the crap out of everyone. Then fantasy would have to be *gasp* creative!
Except most of Tolkien's characters, races, and stories have roots in Celtic and Norse mythology. Those celts should just rise from their graves and sue the hell out of Tolkien.
With the updates to Emerald Dream stuff in the 2.2 patch I could see the Emerald Dream being the new 25 man CoT instance that is released before WotLK. It's just a hunch and doesn't really fit into the current storyline, but anything is possible. I just know they know that their player base wants it and it really wouldn't fit into WotLK. With the dwarf lore being delved into in WotLK I'd be willing to bet Grim Batol and Uldum are opened in it.
Whaaa...?
I wouldn't be surprised to see Uldum open with WotLK, since Ulduar will be in Northrend. Emerald Dream will probably get its own expansion, though.
Hmm. So another 10 levels. And all the healers/tanks will spec dps to make those levels and do the quests, then spec back.
Still no solution after all this time to the situation where essential specs are served with a dose of pure pain.
How about this: Put a talent - high up in the appropriate tree (eg Holy/Prot/Resto) - that significantly increases personal dps output *only* when ungrouped. Tanks and healers can then grind/quest effectively without any reflection onto the balance of pvp/instancing/raiding.
Given the number of complaints generally seen about the difficulty of finding tanks and healers, I am surprised something has not been done already.

You don't know that there isn't a solution. For all we know the 51 point talent for priests will be that one point of +healing gives +5000 spell damage against mobs.
1:28pm: Kirin Tor are setting up the final fight against the Dragonflight-- they're moving Dalaran to take a stand. It'll be the home city, and floating above the air, access it from the ground... or flying mounts. Very centrally located in Northrend-- we learned a lot from Shattrath, but build in a ton of lore and make it a really cool place.
So Dalaran is the new Shattrath, but they're fighting against the Dragonflight? ::boggle::
I really, really hope the pre-expansion zone doesn't kill off Kil'jaeden. If you think about it, he masterminded the invasion of Azeroth by corrupting Ner'zhul then Gul'dan. I believe he also masterminded the corruption of Queen Azshara. So almost everything that has happened so far, from Warcraft 1 to WoW, has been through his machinations. He's the uber-evil mastermind extraordinaire. Azshara, Illidan, Arthas, Ner'zhul, Kael, Vashj, etc. all used to be good guys before him. You need some dude that corrupts more people and creates more bad guys for the good guys to fight off. That's Kil'jaeden and I can't see him gone unless they bring Sargeras back from the dead or into the forefront from wherever he's hiding (if he's currently alive).
I just don't see the Lich King as the uber-evil masterminded. Wiping all life, maybe, but not creating a ton of other memorable bad guys.
Of course, Illidan said the hunter is nothing without the hunted. So maybe the next pre-expansion zone would have crazy Maiev as the last boss?

Entirely true. But Priests are not allowed to have usable talents at the top of the Holy tree. It would break the game.

It's completely in-theme for the Kirin Tor. To them magic is the only end, and anything that gets in the way is a nuisance. They're probably dying to get into the Nexus and are quite a bit responsible for Malygos' current anger and apparent hatred of magic, since they're so good at screwing with it.
The class seminar mentions a Retribution buff in 2.3, Lightwell and Spirit of Redemption getting "tweaked", Circle of Healing beating Chain Heal, stunlock "not being a problem anymore", among other things.
I am absolutely flabbergasted that he just said that warriors doing equal/superior damage to rogues in raids is balanced because rogues are better in the arenas.
I am absolutely speechless, and have never been closer to permanently shelving my rogue. In one panel, they've absolutely gutted my confidence in their ability to balance rogues and warriors.
Am I completely misinterpreting what he said, or is he as delusional as he seems?
