Few more Death Knight changes:
49020: Obliterate (Rank 1)
Requires Melee Weapon
A brutal instant attack that deals 150% of weapon damage plus 300 and additional damage for each of your diseases on the target, but consuming the diseases.
Note: No cost nor cooldown yet, which is likely to be changed.
49142: Frozen Rune Weapon (Rank 1)
1 Frost
Imbue your rune weapon with frost, causing 4.2 to 13.0 additional frost damage, based on the speed of the weapon. Also has a chance to cause your target to be vulnerable to Frost damage. Lasts 10 minutes.
|
While not an actual player ability, this seem semi-interesting in regards to Titan Grip:
48716: Dual Wield 2H Test ()
Requires One-Handed Axes, Two-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Two-Handed Swords, Fist Weapons, Daggers

DR's won't matter a huge amount; 12 seconds of inability to do anything combined with a massive movement speed block is going to make focus-firing said target incredibly simple.
Then of course the devs continue insisting that balance at 80 will be very different than at 70 so its possible that won' be a problem at all.

Why are we assuming that the way of doing healing items is a bug? In itemvalue 1 spelldamage is almost 2 healing, so that might be a good way of making healers and dps use the same gear. So a generic casting weapon would have x spelldamage and healing, and an additional x healing (or slightly less than x to make it equal according to the item formula). This wouldn't totally solve the problem, since not all casters and healers like the same stats, but it would make itemizing them easier. For example a paladin healer and a warlock could use the same spelldamage+spellcrit weapon. Shadowpriests, restodruids and holy priests could use the same weapons etc.

Are you serious? Having a deep Affliction talent increase Crit chance of not just a Destro spell, but one you have to spec for as well?
Edit: I liked the following in the attached txt file you had...
5/31 15:39:51.967 42304: ZingTemp2 ()
5/31 15:39:52.017 ZingTemp2
5/31 15:39:52.017 100 yd range
5/31 15:39:52.017 Channeled
5/31 15:39:52.017 This spell is dan's roxor sauce spell.

Even with diminishing returns it would give you 35 seconds time to nuke someone from 100% to 0%, without them able to do anything. The Ultimate gank tool, I'd say.

Well, I'm only reporting the changes in the lastest patch. :P
As for Cripple, it's just insanely overpowered atm. You basically can't do anything for 10 seconds and they can apply it over and over and over...

Couple more random not spell related things:
- The backgrounds are in for the Death Knight talent trees. Blood, Frost and Unholy.
- The Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Howling Fjord and Northrend maps have been updated. The towns in Howling Fjord on the Northrend map appear to be misplaced slightly though, they're too far west.
- There's a new "Time Manager UI", which appears to be an in-game clock which you can also use to give alarms with messages at times of your own choice.
- There's also some data in there for an "Achievements UI".

Cripple at least as a mob spell is currently magic-dispellable. So Cripple is basically sheep minus the healing but they can still move.
EDIT: Afaik it's also the only Pacify effect available to players.
EDIT2: Where is Azgol-nerub? Supposedly it's in the Dragonblight, which there's a lot of info out on, but I've seen almost nothing on it.
EDIT3: Jesus, this thread has nearly 600,000 views.

Berserk: New effect: Reduces the energy cost of your Cat form abilities by 50% while in Cat form, and increases your total health by 100% and causes your Mangle (Bear) and Maul abilities to hit up to 3 maximum targets while in Bear form or Dire Bear form. Berserk instantly clears all effects which cause loss of control of your character, and makes you immune to them for the duraiton.
|
100% more health? Surely that has to be a typo.

I've posted a big list of changes in the last patch here: General: 8391 Changes - Full list
Lots of interesting stuff there, some already discussed here...
Shadow Priest and Druid talents that converted healing=>spelldamage have been changed
Shadow Priests got a taland that prevents pushback on damaging spells
Warrior shieldblock majorly changed
New Leatherworking drums and armorkits
And a lot of other small changes.

Still missing in the Wiki so i am posting this here:
Shapeshift into the Tree of Life. While in this form you can only cast Swiftmend, Innervate, Nature's Swiftness, Rebirth, Barkskin, Remove Curse, poison removing and healing over time spells, but the mana cost of these spells is reduced by $5420s3%. In addition, all friendly party and raid targets within 40 yards have healing done to them increased by 5%. The act of shapeshifting frees the caster of Polymorph and Movement Impairing effects.
No Nourish in ToL, but Remove curse. Also a Raidbuff... (no changes to improved ToL)
I hope, that the aura will stack :P

Err, raidwide buff? Do you think they have listened to Gurg's post at http://elitistjerks.com/f15/t26275-c...vulnerability/?
It'd be VERY interesting to see any future changes about raidwide buffs in that case . Perhaps this is why we haven't seen much Shaman stuff yet?

In the Alpha things will change a lot by getting removed or changed. By the time the beta comes along it wouldn't surprise me if the talent trees look nothing like the current Alpha talent trees.

It's also interesting because some of these achievements seem to be account-wide, but viewable from in-game on one character. I wonder what they will grant, if anything.

It's again quite interesting what they are doing regarding Druids.
With Living Seed moved down to T7, it looks like you can get a 33/0/38 Druid doing a mixture of DPS and Direct Heals (as Nourish is no longer in Tree), while also providing Imp FF (3% hit for all).
Complimented with a Tree Druid providing the bulk of the HoTs on tanks, this Druid can fill a role of anti-spike and generally more significant heals in times of burst damage (Nourish normally, then HT during enrages and such) or in times of medicore damage he can sit back and nuke the boss or some adds.
Im thinking this is their way of trying to allow 'options' for a second Resto Druid being worthwhile - perhaps they have read that thread, because it means the significance of the 3rd (non Feral) Druid would not be so strong as you would only gain (Imp) Moonkin Aura, not Imp FF aswell.

Someone just posted the updated description on the last page that specifically mentions nourish as castable in tree, and then someone later posted one that didn't include that, so I'm confused as to whether it is indeed castable in tree.
As for gift of the earthmother, if they do keep that as a talent, I expect them to drop it to 3 points so you can only get .3 off your global cooldown from it, thus not invalidating haste for druid healers.

That was the old one, which got changed and posted in this page instead with the updated one.
But the GCD change makes sence if you have a HoT Druid who can focus on +Healing as he needs 0 Haste, and a Direct Healing Druid who can get Haste and mana refunded on heals.
