That would be how it's looking, yes.

A few big things they said.
They are working on a itemrack type thing built into the UI but also have it provide extra space as well, a la Diablo with multiple gearsets.
They want to build threat meters into the game.
They want to build some sort of boss mods into the game.
They said they want to "do something about" fear ward.

A: Scott: Fear ward. We are going to do something about FW for the Horde, they are tired of dealing with the imbalance of Fear in instances, so we have to be careful Jeff: we are working on a system on the wow default interface like Outfitter and Item Rack. We can give you real space to store the extra junk. Awesome!

Wow. Just heard Team Pandemic's priest was DQ'd. That kinda invalidates the whole tourney to me.

Speculation on tanking in WotLC:
They say that the DK tanks by dual wielding or 2h sword but doesn't use a shield. To me this means one of three things.
A: Crushing Blows are being revised in the new expansion.
B: Death Knights get a special "shieldblock-esque" ability that doesn't require a shield. (Hokey)
C: Death Knights get severely boned in the tanking department vs bosses, and to try and rebalance either A or B occurs.
My guess is it's likely to be A or C. I wouldn't be surprised if come the expansion they take out CBs from bosses altogether. Or else they may change shield block to be a straight up absorb. But my guess is the mechanic will be changed, since it's counterintuitive and hard to balance around.

Think of the assassin in D2, she had an ability to block with dual weapons, no doubt there will be something like that for the DK.

I have some doubt. Anyways, I remember in a prior interview they'd said that they felt that crushing blows were too random and too penalizing, and that they were going to do something about them, but not yet. With a new expansion it seems like a good time to do it.

Anyone know why? I really don't see how you can get disqualified from a WoW tournament.

German dude from giga, who are doing the webcast. He's usually donig starcraft,wc3 commentatory I think. Dunno why they are doing this, kinda useless.
At least the quality is MUCH better then from the euro qualifier. And the hp bars for everyone rock.

It's possible that he's Canadian, IIRC Canucks can't participate in tourneys with cash prizes for online games which require a subscription, as it's construed as online gambling? Also, Noktyn's blog on gameriot said that he expected to lose harshly because they don't have their priest, so that's no surprise really that they lost to Warders.

The only thing I can think of is that it is because of mods. *shrug*

On that note, what do people think about this comment?
|
UI mods are a huge part, they will add a threat meter into the game!
|
Maybe my memory's flawed, but I seem to recall comments from Blizzard in the past indicating that they never intended to reveal true threat information to the players. Good approximations were one thing, but the true values were another. Is this a change in their position on the matter, or is Omen/Threat so good now that a Blizzard threat meter will be virtually identical anyway?

Probably same reason they added a cast bar. People who used castbar mods used them had an "unfair" advantage over those who didn't.

'[The main argument against gay-marriage] always revolves around ... "the gay agenda"... Apparently all these gays only want to get married so they can adopt children, turn the children gay (probably using their mystic gay voodoo, passed gayly down from one gay generation to the next), and perpetuate their gayness.'

Well, they started the SC II panel. Can we talk about that at all (outside the benefactors bar)?
