Well being able to use all healing spells was needed to keep them actually getting used semi-frequently, technically its a slight nerf too as it no longer reduces the mana cost of Swiftmend, Tranquility, Abolish and such... still very welcome changes.

Not necessarily. Seal of Blood is an AP-based seal like Command. The ones mentioned are the SP-based seals, which makes sense for a Holy tree talent.

When I quit, Judgement of Righteousness was still on the spell table (only Seal of Command used the melee table) so that would be valid for tanks. However, some previous poster pointed out that this might be worded wrong. Stoicism right now gives stun decrease an increased chance for our spells not to be dispelled. So either they changed/dropped that part or they typed it up wrong. Of course Paly tanks will always use spells for tanking so I can see the validity of this talent; however if they folded spell hit in with melee hit then it seems way less useful. Aren't warriors expected to itemize a certain amount of +hit to tank with?

Yes, it would take away almost all of the dps benefit from the bow.
But that's only once WOTLK (or 3.0) hits. Epics will be replaced by greens, legendaries will be replaced by blues, etc.
They might change the bow to suit however, because surely blizzard designed the bow around this steady-shot formula; making it great in PvE but just another weapon in PvP.

You can access the beta forums, and apparently only people who were in the alpha can(could) post there at the moment. WoW Forums -> Forum Index I think it's the correct link.
Side Rant: Several of these people are rickrolling eachother, posting ASCII macros of the ORLY bird, and generally mimicking the wow general forums scum of the earth. Glad these people were selected as the cream of the crop, giving important feedback about this game!

Your post conjures to mind images of Blizzard wandering the world [of Warcraft] seeking only those greatest, battle-hardened individuals to test their expansion's mettle.
It must be nice wearing those rose-colored glasses of yours. News flash: a random cross-section of a population will often have characteristics resembling the overall population.

Beta invites haven't actually gone out yet, pretty sure everyone on there was in the friends and family alpha, there were no randoms involved unless I am misinformed. I don't want these people influencing the devs on any level. They make me feel bad for humanity as is.

I simply saw it as them having a bit of fun while waiting for the beta client to download. They aren't being serious and you shouldn't take it as such. While I only recognized a few names, I do know that people such as Kaydeethree and Cogwheel would take it as seriously as it needs to be.

Someone got the pally ones over at the Wrath Wiki before you, but you can still have a cookie.
BTW the high threat strike (Hammer of the Righteous) is prot while the "Bladestorm" (Divine Storm) is ret.

Possibly a beast that cannot currently be tamed. I wonder if they'll let you tame Core Hounds.

How can you help?
I can shoot things and then make my pet move toward them.

Maybe the beta patchnotes should start its own thread? This one being at 200+ pages already..

I hope so. Especially with the NDA lifted, as people might start directly posting stuff in this thread.

Zhevra pet, go! It's a mount and a pet in one!
I suspect "Exotic" pets will be a specific type of pet found in Northrend.
I wonder if with 5 extra "pet talent points" beast hunters will be able to pick up the capstone talents in their pets' trees, which might be unavailable for other specs?

Explosive Shot is really, really underwhelming. I don't know what they're thinking with that one, but it may yet change; who knows?
The 51 BM talent effectively makes your pet level 85 (in terms of talents), which could be quite good, but it hinges entirely on the power/desirability of the pet talents. So the jury is still out on that one.
Chimera Shot sounds like an AMAZING Arena talent.

Can anyone capable of mining the beta client please check the Dire Bear Form data to see if the threat boost from Feral Instinct got rolled into the base skill? Re: the following beta patch note change:
|
o Feral Instinct (Feral) no longer increases threat generated in Bear form, but now increases damage done by your Swipe ability by 5/10/15%.

I was thinking that at first, but consider that it scales with 20% of AP. Even without the base damage, assuming a survival hunter with 3000 AP, explosive shot is doing 600 DPS. If it ticks even.. 4 times, that's probably better use of that GCD than any other shot. So it could be intended as a new staple of a survival hunter's single-target rotation, with the aoe part just gravy.

That shield is not necessarily an outlier, since it's just about perfect for Elemental Shaman. Time will tell how valuable the crit is for Resto, but spell power is spell power.

Blessing of Salvation renamed Hand of Salvation, now reduces total threat on the target by 2% per second for 10 seconds while also reducing all damage and healing done by 10%. Only one Hand spell can be on the target per paladin at any one time. Now costs 6% of base mana.
|
|
Tranquil Air Totem has been removed. (Threat is being addressed by modifications to the base threat of players and/or "baked" into tanking abilities.)
|
These two worry me. I don't see any modifications to the threat talents of the pure DPS classes. Are casters going to receive a base threat reduction similar to what rogues get?

Maybe. With crit being good for resto shaman too now, I'd not draw that conclusion from the shield. As for the helm, does the "of Guarding" might suggest that it's intended to be shared with prot paladins?
