Getting the other one is a LOT of work and therefore should also reward a lot more points. Therefore a new achievement should be in place imo.

Take a look at these three achievements:
Mercenary of Sholozar: Earn exalted status with the The Oracles and the Frenzyheart Tribe
The Oracles: Earn exalted status with the The Oracles
Frenzyheart Tribe: Earn exalted status with the Frenzyheart Tribe
We know that there's a new set of two opposed factions Aldor/Scryer style, it's titled "mercenary", and I think it gave quite a lot more points that the joint Argent Dawn/Crusade one. So this might be what you're looking for, just for the new factions.

They've said, though, that they want switching allegiance with those two factions to be easy, and that they want everyone to do quests for both.

What about unlocking a new bank tab when you reach an appropriate achievement score? Or being able to buy your ground mount at level 1 on your nth alt when your account score gets high enough.

It would be interesting if achievements would allow temporary vanity buffs like [Path of Illidan], You could always toss this to those who completed a legendary set. In the end the more "shiny" the effect the better for the system, countless hours of game play can be added with relative ease.

The Achievement Points must add up to something, maybe special tabards or titles; after all, MMORPGs are usually supposed to reward players for being active.

It can't be character power unless everything that does add power is purchasable with the points from just current content. I wouldn't want to drag a new character through seven tiers of obsolete raid dungeons for a pvp edge - however minor.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Argent Crusade is Argent's Dawn offencive force in Northrend. Being exalted with both is not mutually exclusive and makes sense in role-play manner: fought scourge back home, fighting it here, both with undying zeal. I think achievements are not supposed to make players do unnecesary and unadvancing stuff - which is what dropping Scryer to join Aldor seems to me. But sinse system is not exactly finished (and by the way - Tuskarrmageddon is cool name) we may see your Scryer-Aldor achievements in the future.

(450 Mana, Instant)
So there likely will be healing specific spell power, though I've yet to see any gear with healing spell power on it.
Edit: Wording

The Blue comments thus far have suggested that all gear will just be +Spell Power, but that some effects and talents will be +Healing still. Since we only see that on Inner Fire, and not a single piece of converted gear, it's reasonable to assume that it'll be rare if anywhere (unlike, say, defense, which isn't on any of the new gear, but isn't going anywhere on old gear).

That probably stands to reason seeing how the red Lordaeron flag is a banner of the Crusade.

Ok, going off topic a bit here but I'm a bit perplexed by what have been out since the Nda has been lifted.
I'm finding it a bit wrong that Azjok nerub will be a 5 man (both the upper and the lower kingdom) and I find it even more puzzling that Anub'arak will be a boss at the end of a lvl 71 dongeon. To me it's completly wrong that ARthas' second in command would not be a boss in a raid.
Anybody else saw that? (or am I too much of a lore maniac?)

My guess is that it's one of two things (or a combination of both):
1) Attempt to bring more of the non-raiding population into contact and conflict with major lore characters,
and/or
2) A fight that doesn't end with his "Death," but only his "Defeat."
He may very well be a boss in the 5-man and also in a raid somewhere (Icecrown?)
As for Azjol-Nerub being just a single dungeon, that is rather disappointing. I was hoping for a ginormous underground zone. I guess we'll see how large it ends up being... they might also have more plans for the area in the future.

Well, as for the Wrath of the Lych King stuff, I was wondering if Blizzard will surprise us with any come-backs. I've been thinking about it for a while now, and I think it would be really cool: you start a new lvl 80 dungeon, (you wipe several times) and when you reach the last boss, bam! Stalvan is standing right there, as if his little cottage in Darkshire is not enough for his decomposing personality.
Seriously, I think that after killing Stalvan or Van Cleef thousands of times, it would be awesome to face them again in a high level instance.
Just... speaking my mind out loud, my brain works in mysterious ways...
Heremur.

Azjol-Nerub or anything else not being a huge explorable cave would be a real let down. One of the things WOW has has always missed is just that. Coilfang Reservoir is a good example what it should Not be.
Something so major that you could get lost in there and have to HS out...
Oh well.
Anyone actually seen any parts of azjol-nerub (other than 1 entrance to an instance or gates) or is this all datamined (and as such connected to the right places)?

I'm guessing they found making Azjol-Nerub part of the overworld underneath other zones was just too difficult to pull off. There are some massive underground areas currently in the game, namely Ironforge, Blackrock Mountain and Undercity, but nothing of the scale that was being talked about here.

There are screenshots of A-N floating around. imo, it's the coolest-looking place in the expansion right now, so it's a damn shame that it's been downgraded from a full zone. It reminds me of a cross between Zangarmarsh and Ghostlands, only underground. imo even if it's relatively small, Blizzard should have tried to include it somehow to stretch from Dragonblight to Icecrown if only to have it match up with TFT's lore.
I wouldn't say that A-N is the only.. A-N zone right now. There's the Old Kingdom 5-man, which is less a cave and more a series of Nerubian structures within a cave (it looks like a huge instance as well for having only 4 bosses), and there's also going to be a raid eventually.
I don't have any huge issues with Anub'Arak being a 5-man boss, especially if he's tied into the lore more thoroughly than other bosses have been *cough*Sapphiron*cough*. It is of course possible that he'll appear in the 5-man and Icecrown, yes, a "reverse Kael'Thas" as someone else put it.
