There is no way to balance that, so don't count on it being % based.

Dude.
It's Death & Decay. I don't care how effective it is, it's fucking Death & Decay.
Go play WC 2 and play around with a Death Knight. Maybe then you'll understand.

Well if they go for other Warcraft II abilities for them, here's hoping they get "Haste". That ability was great. Bloodlust + Haste on all my Ogre Magi? Yes please!

Well, so far we have Raise the Dead (Army of the Dead in WoW) and Death & Decay. Here's hoping for Haste and Unholy armor! (maybe Death Coil too... I doubt Hurricane will get in)

They mentioned Blood Boil as a possible ability (A self-DoT to gain Blood Runes).
More magazine info not mentioned yet-
* No plans for heroic Outlands/Azeroth dungeons at level 80.
* No plans for a new playable race in WotLK.
* Azjol-Nerub will be an underground zone (no info if mounts will be usable or not there).

Maybe we could use our aq mounts there which would be a great excuse for me to continue keeping 3 of them at the bank (damn red). Along with some new mount for people who have never been in aq I guess.

That actually sounds like a really good idea to get people to go back to AQ40... maybe add a new boss or buff the zone if you are lvl 80...

Why would anyone want to be forced to go back to AQ40? If it interests them that much they can go back anytime they want.

I find it a bit of a stretch to extrapolate an entire instances loot table based on the handful of items that we've seen so far. I'm hoping that blizzard can itemize ZA such that it serves as an alternative upgrade path for guilds that struggle with 25 man content, while still holding some value to guilds who already out-gear the content. IMO, they successfully did this with ZG when it was released; I'm confident that they can do it again.

I didn't say "oh and I heard from my friend at Blizzard they will definatly drop items with these modifiers" did I?
The 2her you saw that dropped had haste rating, the only way to really make the loot attractive in a world where everything is min/maxed is to provide another modifier to add some deviation else the loot becomes statisically worse or better (and a 3day lock-out 10man shouldn't give items statistically superior to 7day lockout 25man) when its not even at a level above it.
They cannot fill the zone with itemization holes alone because then well.. people wont do it and the whole point was the loot would be attractive to players.

People will do ZA is because:
A) is a 10 man
B) is nowhere near as long as KZ
C) and loot is generally better than KZ.
That will suffice for >80% of the people raiding ZA. (See ZG->AQ20 for past preformance)
Aside for that, the loot holes it fills is meaningless except for the elite raiding tiers.

Not to nitpick, but I think Rajaxx kept the population low in AQ20 relative to ZG.

Yes he did. Cause lets face it killing Kurinaxx was easily PuGable, but getting through Rejaxx with a PuG much more difficult.
I certainly hope Blizzard does fill the itemization holes, but hopefully though the Heroic badges/token drops where stuff like that belongs anyways. Its ridiculous to have to DE spell damage leather or spell damage mail simply becuase we didn't bring an off spec to our 10 man that week. Tokens/badges solve this problem easily.

So at the sunwell a "famous character" will try to summon Kil'Jaeden... any ideas? Maybe Kael isn't really dead, or perhaps A'dal or Khadgar fell to the dark side so to speak?

I know what the quest line says there's no need to be an ass. I'm talking about the Tigole interview from yesterday where he explicitly stated that a famous character (that he can't name yet) will be at the sunwell trying to summon Kil'Jaeden
Yeah Kael is the best guess, but that doesn't mean it is a guaranteed thing.

No, he kept it low because he was mandatory and the fight sucked donkey bollocks. Moronic NPC adds that bug into terrain and make enemies evade, fears through terrain, random bugs that mean all the waves zerg you at once, and just too many waves of boring toss - it had it all!
BM is the Rajaxx fight done right. With no moron NPCs.

Varimathras or the end boss in scarlet wing, stratholme (forgot his name)? Maybe Kazzak is back again in a third incarnation!
Other options are someone who escapes Sunwell and is going to show up in Northrend... don't really know my lore so can't take any guesses.

Sorry it was more in reference to you saying "perhaps Kael isnt dead" or so, when the quest dialog confirms this already.
It would be nice to have the final 'ending' to TBC being heavily Kael related, hes already in here, you face him and dont kill him (lol we have a nice fondle of his corpse each week), theres plenty of dialog to buff up from "you thought you killed me..." "illidan was weak, nothing but a pawn..." "you did my work ridding us of illidan" "my true master" etc. Not to mention it adds some advancement on the story rather than something tacked onto the end and buffed up till its shiney to make people think thats really it.

There was also a reference to an "inciting incident" that will lure people into Northrend (they said this at blizzcon). It would be really cool IMO if they somehow intertwined the two events.

Could be that Dar'khan guy from the manga. Remember also that the sunwell itself is that chick from the manga, and that Korialstrasz himself is well intertwined in that whole storyline. As far as an inciting incident for TBC goes, blood elves almost destroying the world again by summoning a demon might be enough reason for Malygos to embark on his quest to eradicate magic users from the mortal races. Perhaps we'll see him make an appearance at the Sunwell.

Lowbie Blood Elves kill Dar'khan in Deatholme at around level 20, I doubt he will be the one, headless and all.

I can't see Dar'khan doing it. He already got incinerated in the "manga" (according to Wowwiki - never read it myself and afaik it's drawn by a korean) AND we killed an undead version of him in WoW, BElves used him as a passport of sorts to the Horde.
