it means that cards with the Creature label, such as this one (you can find what it is classified as in the text between the picture and the flavor text), cannot really effect this card at all. just like protection from *color*, except for a type of card.

edit: at least, that's what I think it means. I haven't touched Magic with any real seriousness since Ice Age.

Were mobs (or whatever they were called previously) called creatures prior to this ability being introduced or was it just another expansion gimic?
