It wasn't just about pasting the meters as far as I could tell, but about healers who used the tool in the first place, and wanted them to understand the futility of it.

Pasting meters is not just a healer problem; that's just something that shouldn't be allow and is honestly more about discipline. If that's the only issue here, then the OP should have started a post about how to discipline the raid. Since he broke it down, I responded in that he seemed to believe healing meters were worthless and as such, not at all worth posting, let alone after every fight.

Healing meters is just a general guideline; it's not the end-all, be-all, but you can, at a glance, interpret it. As I said previously, issues usually arise when other classes are trying to interpret them, and aren't taking into account healer issues.

As an example, we ran an alliance Gruul the other day since our guild attendance has dropped a bit. There are only two resto shaman, myself and one other from the other guild, and he wrecked me on the heal meters for Gruul, something I generally top because of the insane efficiency and usability of CH. I was wondering if I was at fault and if perhaps there was more I could be doing, so I asked him. It turned out he chugged consumables like water and used max rank CH, and was also in the main melee group. Since we spread out in group areas ala C'thun, he was in a better position always to heal the correct targets and have them leap correctly, whereas I was not always in such a position. His overhealing however, was very low, and that was at least a heads up; less people died when we coordinated efforts and used max ranks, provided we weren't running out of mana. We had 0 deaths on only our second alliance kill, and Gruul was one shotted. I attribute this to healing meters and talking about it afterwards.

If you're having trouble with boss fights, people are dying, you're going backwards in progression, then this may be an issue to evaluate, otherwise it appears to me to be a discipline issue. Deal with it in that area, otherwise I wouldnt really try to pin it down as "epeen healers who aren't doing their job."
