In this thread, my word is the infallible law. If I say D3 = T3, it is the unequivocal truth.

Anyways.

That's two seconds more of WotLK forums than I have seen. I just (rightly) assumed it would be absolutely terrible.

It's funny that everyone keeps mentioning being blind, because I'd rather be struck blind than have to wear paladin T3 again. Here's to hoping they at least recolor them...

Eej is right, all of you are wrong. The D3 sets are pretty obviously new textures on top of tweaked versions of the T3 models - some tweaked more than others. If you're having a hard time seeing it, just look at the silhouettes of the shoulders and helms.

If I didn't know any better I'd say Priest T6, Shaman T4, Mage D3, Warlock D3 and Warlock T3 are all the same set recolored with a spike here or there.

Yes, the D3 sets are obviously new textures on top of new models. These new models are, yes, obviously just tweaked versions of the T3 models, and in some cases the tweaking was damn minor.

But when we say "recolored" we mean just that - a recolored texture on top of the exact SAME model. Not a completely different texture on top of a different model, and in every case, the models used have been at least slightly different. T2 has been reused; T3 has not.

Jesus Christ! Who gives a shit? There's a population smaller than full D3, and that's T3. No one will fucking notice!

Just about everything I wear in real life is just recolored models. Get over it!

I had to share this horrible rogue I met in Alterac Valley. Look at his weapons and then his talents: The Armory.

I presume it's a combination of a quite strange spec (deciding not to take talented spell hit entirely), poor/mixed gear & lack of enchants/proper gemming.

Being revered with the Aldor and not bothering to enchant your Gladiator's shoulders with the incredibly cheap shoulder enchant is quite suprising, I must admit.

EDIT: As is not chosing a MSD for the helm meta socket for Arcane spec, and instead picking the mana-restore gem.

Poor spec and gear choices aren't really that hard to find though. You can click on any random-dungeon blue-geared player in IF, and find similar bad choices. The armory link of the week, I thought, was to point out extremely rare things (like 70 hunters with 1/300 in their ranged skills). Terrible gear and spec choices are probably more common than good decisions.

You pay for the whole chair, but you only need the edge.

True enough, I don't claim it's "good enough" for a spot as Armoury link of the week - I was trying to explain to the above poster why it might be regarded as an "interesting profile". You're right of course, there are definitely more odd/personalised (awful?) talent specs than min-maxed ones.
