When using an Instant Messanger client, and typing in spurts of lines as I am wont to do, I often double-tap Return at the end of lines, as if I have to enter a new text box like guild chat. Flying mounts have also thrown off my ability to estimate local walking distances.

I too have thought of myself as 'kytrarewn' before... but that's not the worst habit I have.
In IM programs, due to having played (especially) MUDs and also MMO's for far too long, I find myself typing in a " ' " at the beginning of every sentence.
Hey [Kyt's RL name], how's it going?
'Not bad, you?
Not so terrible
'Good to hear
etc...
It's gotten me a few weird responses on occasion.

Can you imagine what kind of looks people throw at you when in the subway and being refered to as Mona... when you IRL are male? I'd crawled under the seat... but well...

I'd said lol (pronouncing each letter) to a joke before from a friend. I took the weekend off the computer after that.

I have a few of those 'wake up' moments:
- My mom once called me and woke me up (was around 6pm, I had partied all night). The first thing I did was telling her she had to take a 'shadow protection potion'. Now, I'm belgian so she actually tried understanding me by translating it into 'shaduw bescherming'. Appearantly, I then spent 5 minutes trying to explain her why shadow resistance is important ("schaduw weerstand"). Then she hung up and I fell back asleep.
- My girlfriend woke me up a few days ago and the first thing I said to her was: "Ok ok, I'll go level your mage, you bring her to WPL and conjure me some coffee".

Think about my personal worst was typing "lol" and answering the phone at the same time. I picked up the phone and instead of hello I greet them with "Laugh out lo~ Er... Hello?"
Only other occassion I can think of was my roomate asking me to wake him up one day, so I go into his room wake him up, tell his still half asleep self he has to be up in 15 minutes and he responds with some grumbles and "Hunter's tank the corehounds with frost nova" and I walk out of the room, get to my chair and go "Wait, hunters dont have frost nova? WAKE UP YOU BASTARD!"
The only thing I do regularly is hit ESCAPE using MSN and AIM. That and use /emote during IM conversations. Worst was when I realized that me and one of my friends who played both put in a space before any /emotes like we were whispering each other emotes during raids.

This. Often. As in: Anyone know the mats for chocolate-chip cookies? Also, occasional instances of /r in AIM conversations.

A girl at my current job is named "Hope". It took about a month to break the reflex of turning my head whenever someone asked for her.

Responding to the name Suction gets me some strange looks too.
And I've done the damn push-to-talk thing so many times on the phone.

Yeah, my ears always perk up whenever someone says "Pam", much to my embarrasment.

A few of my friends started calling me "curly" because when my hair gets long, it gets really curly. They didn't know I played wow or that my characters name was kurlii. I actually never thought that when I named this guy.
I can usually keep the WoW talk in my head but I occasionally slip. Every time I meet someone, though, I always try to scroll over them and find out what class they are. Asking someone that gets some weird looks :/

I've never had the PTT/Phone problem, but once or twice I ended up saying gold instead of dollars. Luckily my friends play WoW as well and I make less of an idiot out of myself.
Every time someone says "down" I think someone is talking to me on vent. I have also made far too much usage of "QQ" talking to people.

I have a horribly tendency to switch my bosses name and Gurgs, I haven't even raided in months. Also nearly told someone "That's the hunters job." I think I'm all sorts of fucked up.

If you can avoid cracking a smile when you do it, people are generally too weirded out if you just stare into space and don't react to them talking to get mad.

I thought it was weird that I said certain internet jargon for years aloud; seems like alot of it is pretty common in college due to how popular text messaging/instant messaging/forums have become and how it bridges into voice chat and real life chat.
Saying WoW specific terms is another story unless I'm around people who play the game.
Sometimes I break up people in real life into alliance and horde in my mind based on how they act though!

1) I categorize people as "noobs" irl.
2) Whilst dealing with certain people irl, I often tell myself "this man is an emo kid", or "this is the type of man who'd whine for a raid spot", or "this is the type of man who whine about conjure water", or "loot whore".
3) I've often wished "gremove" and "gquit" were easy to do irl jobs.
4) Sometimes while going thru resumes and CVs, I tell myself.. "this guy prolly spams LFG in General chat, I wouldn't want him in my guild - thus I don't want him in the company". Absurd as it may sound, I've had great success in with people who were not CV-spammers with a dumb generic "Objective" section.

At work (where I worked last year), we use permanent markers for writing on cartons of stock and on the back of sheets of formica. Anyhow, we had a pretty atrocious rate of disappearance of those markers (to the point eventually where we had to go to the front office and ask for one if we lost ours or it ran out) ... anyhow, one time I left my marker on a workbench while I was signing some stock in, when I turned back it was gone.

"Uh, don't worry, but that rat b*stard over there just ninja'd my pen"
*courier guy nods, smiles and starts shuffling toward the exit*

In response to the last post, I have also said "xx has ninjad" in certain occasions. I dont think it's a common enough expression yet to be used "out there".

I work as a journalist and wrote an article about the Halo 3 midnight launch party some weeks ago. When I arrived to the partyplace, there was a decent crowd, and I realized I don't have the phone nunber of our photographer guy I had to meet with.
My first thought was, "Hey, no problem, invite him to a party and look at the map!"

I often find myself responding to questions and statements with Ye, which is nothing particular in an English speaking country but in Swe it's a pretty wierd way to answer people. I use PTT while on the phone, and while talking to people in my room as well. Generally when I sit by a keyboard I push that damn PTT key everytime I'm about to say anything to anyone. I sometimes slip and say lol in RL, not spelled out though thank god. Sometimes as I get more drunk and have been hanging with the WoW crowd for a while I start swapping words for their WoW/internet equivalents.
When I was heading home with a friend once I told him to hurry because we would miss our bus, and he answered with 'np, i'll just hearths....' about there he realized there is no such thing as a hearthstone outside WoW.
