I tried searching a ton, but the search feature on this board is not robust enough. I keep getting pages of unrelated posts and threads, so if this was answered some where else, I apologize.

Can anyone else confirm if the trash before supremus (specifically the taskmaster packs) has had their loot table changed? We would previously farm those packs, leaving one mob up and then evade leashing them to respawn the rest of the pack (borderline exploit maybe, I know). Since patch, tried to farm these packs a few times, and only got a couple hearts the first time through, no gems/epics. The next two times, we spent about an hour each time without a single heart/gem/epic drop. Total of 5-6 hours of farming, no gems/epics and only 2 hearts in the first half hour of attempts.

It's a relatively small sample size, but with the previous droprates, the chance of not getting more hearts or a single gem/epic is pretty slim. It's entirely possible we were just unlucky, but statistically it's a low probability. Anyone else experience a similar situation? I wouldn't be surprised if they found a way for those mobs to not drop anything if they were reset, just curious since we don't want to waste any more time farming if they aren't gonna drop hearts or gems.

How many players did you bring?

Chances are they put something in place to prevent "exploitive" farming with the early trash. Could be related to the number of players or just the first trash

This weekend I saw 2 patterns, 6 hearts and 7 gems drop while solo/duo farming trash. Seems fine to me.

I have a feeling once this BT Trash soloing thing catches on it will be nerfed.

More than 5, less than 15 each time, so you could be right.

Which trash were you farming though?

We went farming the trash after Supremus, (Ashtounge patrols, and the mobs on the way to Teron) and received several gems, hearts, and the DPS warrior gloves. We only had 8 in the group at the time, as well. This was just this last Sunday, too.

We farmed all the packs before Supremus as well resetting the zone 3 times, with between 7 and 15 or so people. No epic items from them, but we did get hearts and gems.

We've been getting hearts and gems from the pre-supremus trash; the overall decrease in drops has given us streaky heart drops though. It definitely seems like trash isn't dropping stuff at times, then all the sudden a gem will popup.

Side note, the NE trash after Archimonde dies is giving loot now.. and its constant spawn of 1-3 mobs every now and then is quite enjoyable.

Yes, the spawnrate is slow.
We farmed the trash for like 2-3 hrs and the mobs keep spawning. Not sure when it ends.
But the breaks between each "wave" can be pretty long.
We got 3 epics (2 melee necks, 1 nethervoid cloak), 3-4 hearts and some marks, no gems.

Curious as to whether the trash waves after Archimonde still exist?

Was looking around after our Hyjal clear tonight and could not find any mobs after 30 minutes, other than the scourge base near the alliance base which was not giving rep.
