someone was telling me that in the very very begining of MC teir 2 shit would drop. that was before some big item normilization (when they nerfed deffense skill on items) and what not. is that true? That time was still when i was pew pewing in star wars galaxies (i think).

Yes, you could get 6/8 Wrath before BWL even came out. I know that in the raid I started MC with we got Bloodfang gloves off Mag, and Wrath bracers off Gehn, might have been some other T2 we got in MC but I just remember these 2. The +def nerf was a couple patches after they changed MC to only drop T2 legs, I know for Might shoulders the patches went in this order:
Patch A - No +def had agi and some random resist and weren't very good for tanking, I used Stockade pauldrons for most raiding, were decent DPS shoulders though.
Patch B - Added +def and made Might better for tanking, also changed the graphic to something that didn't look like a lvl 40 green.
Patch C - Defense nerf to all items (-33% +def on all items in the game basically).

I'm not sure on the exact patch numbers, hence the A, B, C.

Yeah. Might used to be red I think, and Nightslayer was Stormshroud (goddamnit blizz). Nice golden Elements shoulders Gurg. :V
Actually, I know Earthfury was red, but I swear Might was too.

Yeah, Wrath Belt from Golemagg, boots from Sulfuron.

Same patch they revamped Tier 1/2 stats they removed Tier 2 from MC.

Defense nerf was, iirc, in the ZG patch aka 1.8.
