Is it normal to be able to connect to the ptr after a patch but before you've downloaded the patch? I started the ptr client like normal and it allowed me in fine, I was able to kill stuff and fly around, etc. When I got to Area 52 I got a memory access fatal error though. Starting the client and logging in yielded the same fatal error. Only then, when I tried to start the normal client did the patch download kick in. Once patched I was able to login without troubles and try stuff out.

For the flying, I tested it in Netherstorm, and the area just east of Area 52 that is only "Netherstorm" did not dismount me.

Testing some of the other casting changes and sometimes if I time a SWP just right after a VT, the SWP is cast but it does not visually show a GCD related to the SWP.

Quest Items on the ground now have stars sparkling over them rather than flashing like the previous PTR build.

The lower left castbar also disappears whenever you eat or drink anything in shadowform. When eating/drinking out of shadowform it acts normal.

Upper left action bar removes all its spells on it when changing stances. They remain lost also when switching back to the original stance.

Devastate seems to cost the normal rage now, not twice the value it states (previous bug).
On a blue/green geared level 64 warrior, "charge/deva spam" is pretty fast killing now while DW'ing damage gear.

Season 3 one-handers still miss the rating requirement, female gnome shoulders still oversized.

Edit:
When trying to cast a spell that is not on CD/GCD, you will trigger a GCD. It fixed the previous issue with 1.5s cast spell, but severely punishes chain mashing your button and partcular G15 macro spam.

MSD still has a 45s CD.

Though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours, and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable; I simply am not there.

Melee range seemed unchanged for me, a shaman, so it seems only hunters were affected.

If you're trying to fly out of ZA, don't go anywhere past EPL. While previously you'd hilariously go the wrong direction and fly through terrain, now you get a critical failure that kills WoW. Flying only from Hatchet Hills to EPL is fine though.

Just noticed that all the keys for heroics only require Honored with the appropriate reputation. No idea if that's intentional or PTR randomness, though.

The crystal potion you get from ogrila by trading shards are now like super pots not like major the build before.

Meta-Gems show the requirement all the time now (even if you tooltip a head with equipped meta gem).

CE Mount has also a new buff-icon. Still no animation when walking.

Weapon Mastery is -2% dodge ( not -4% )
Improved Zerk Stance also reduces damage taken while in Zerk stance by 2%, so if you have 5/5 you don't take additional damage in berserker stance

Just had a quick play, it almost seemed like they actually left the deadzone in and just moved it from 5-8 yards to ~3-5 yards, I could easily stand at a spot where I couldnt attack with either melee or ranged.

You sure? on US PTR I'm seeing -10% threat for 5/5 (as previewed on warrior forums), not -10% damage taken.

The flight path caught me totally by surprise... the previous general (unofficial) consensus was there were technical limitations regarding zoning while on flight paths, which was why Darnassus was disconnected from Exodar, as well as Undercity/etc being disconnected from Silvermoon. (And to a more guesswork-ish extent, why the planned flight path halfway up in Karazhan was canned)

I wonder if they'll add flight paths between the cities now that hurdle seems to have been overcome (albeit with bugs). Only a minor convenience, to be sure, but little things like that is what makes WoW so great after all.

Scroll over the actual stance icon, you can see the damage penalty is 0

hmm weird, so did they mess up and give us damage reduction removal instead of the stated (on the talent and on the forums) tooltip of threat reduction, or is this an added extra ontop of that? would be interesting to know.

I assume this is necessary due to maxhp-1 damage (like Gluth) always killing warriors in Berserker stance.

But why change it a year after it has played out its significance?
Other than to possibly prepare for naxx as a starting raid in WotLK

"No fly zones" were there before last patch, I remember falling from mount few times and dying from fall damage quite a few days ago. It seemed to be quite a large area in Nagrand, since I couldn't mount back and had to use land mount to get to gryphon.
