[Brilliant Wizard Oil]
[Brilliant Mana Oil]
Anyone tried selling these? I have some LBS sitting in my bank from screwing around in Stratholme, and was wondering if these have much of a market. I would argue that both of those recipes are better than the BC versions, but the problem is - how many raiders will actually be searching the AH for them? I'm just curious if anyone else has experience with these, otherwise I'll make a few and see how they sell.

I put some up and got around 15ish gold per, which is good or bad depending on your server. They seemed to be pretty slow moving so I just saved them all to use myself for raiding.

As a warlock i make some nice (not great) money boosting lvl 60 locks through Dire Maul West to get their Epic Warlock mounts.
I provide the required mats for the summoning ritual which saves them 250G, and charge between 50G and 100G each. For a quick run with 3 or 4 locks paying its an easy & fast moneymaker.
This works best if you organize the run yourself, otherwise they can just as well buy the mats themselves and split costs & have a tank or even healer char boost them.
I've done around 20 runs like this with 3 or 4 locks joining each run, so this made me a nice amount of money. I started doing this at 60 with some guildies joining and boosting 2 other locks to get back the money i paid for the mats
It's not something you can do every night but once a week is usually possible. Plus its one of the more fun ways to make money (still love the event itself).
Just make sure you have enough soulshards with you (15-20) and dont forget to take the mats from the bank

I think you meant 20%, but the "faster than riding crop" statement stands either way. Regarding selling the Brilliant wizard / mana oils, I haven't had any luck, because the type of people that are willing to pay for that minute of an upgrade, especially with the +dmg / +crit oil, are more than likely to have an enchanter, or access to one, that did ZG a couple times, and make them themselves.

Probably because these are new items, and probably not going to be implemented in 2.4.2, but rather in a future patch, or, more likely, WotlK.

There's more discussion of this in that linked thread, as appropriate, but some general speculation is that it is a preview of Inscription coming in Wrath and that it was unintentionally added in the test realm.
Edit: late post, but I'll leave it since I specifically mentioned inscription...

I have to say that the tooltip for the mount enchants is really strange. All mounts are soulbound right now, right? Could this mean that you, once again, have the possibility to buy mounts with another character with better rep?

Well this is my first post on the forum so a brief hi to you all. Had a look round and find it brilliant to see so much excellent info to hand. This thread in particular has already made my life so much easier.
I did want to ask one question of those posting in here? Does it make sense or is it worth it to change skills when at level 70? say from Leatherworking to Jewelcrafting?
Looking forward to many engaging conversations with you all

Hey Thoromin, it really depends on your individual situation, and if you're looking at doing it for money, your servers economy. If you raid, do you want to keep LW for drums? Can you sell the leg enchants easily and at a profit? How much would it cost you to level up JC based on the mat prices on your server? What are the pattern costs like? Does it look like there is room to make money either prospecting or selling cuts?
Its one of those things that would need to be evaluated based on your individual server unfortunatly.

[Turbo-Charged Flying Machine Control] (and the blue version) is Bind on Use, so other Engineers can make it for you (not sure why though, you can learn how to make it from a trainer at the required skill to use it, and none of the mats are BoP).

Also, if you make all the mats and the ultimate end product yourself, you do get quite the bit of skillup.

Don't you need max engineering to make the mount in the first place...?

With the change, I foresee the price of VC being roughly exactly twice that of LPS, which means that either LPS prices will drop, VC prices will rise, or both.
I suspect both effects will occur and that the LPS drop will be larger, but by how much? If we say VC and LPS are both currently 2Xg, will they change to 2.5.5X and 1.25X? The worst case scenario for sellers would be if VC stayed the same while LPS crashed to half VC, which seems at least possible due to the extremely large supply of VCs in guild banks and from Kara and such.

There is one thing to consider about the VC's. With the lifting of attunment of Black Temple, people will need VC's for SR gear. I don't see much of a change.

99% for Badge Vendor and Large Pris are going for 35g+ easily. Seems like most people either have the gold or don't know about the Void Shatter change in next patch.
Leg armor kits and Primals are through the roof already.

If he was a Gnome, you can make it starting 375 engi, but the engineering racial still gives you 15 more points to make.

Crafting epic items
Hi people. First of all, thanks to all who participated in this great thread! It made me gold
I made quite some gold when the anvil opened due to all the people wanting LPS and rare gems. This goldmine has now slowed down considerably and prices seem back to what they were. As discussed before, the LPS market is dying down and it is difficult to make profit there (at least on my realm), considering the time spent.
Anyway, I was thinking if I can step up / mix up my AH game a bit by crafting epics. I am a 375 (swordspec) BS and 375 Engi. I have never really looked in to epic BS plans or engi schematics. My question is, which crafted BS/Engi epics (not the plans) sell well on the AH? I am willing to invest some of my cash in buying the plans, but only if I am sure that I will actually make more money selling the epics I craft with them.
If possible, please reply with the name of the epic, why you think these sell well (on your realm) and lastly any tips to keep in mind regarding the raw materials.

There is only one epic that could sell for engineering and that is [Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer]. While it's a good tank gun (usefull for a small part of the population, the protection warriors), it's also an item that every single engineer with a 375 skill can make.

I think you are right, then it was from making the rare mount and not the epic. It was awhile ago.

For people who use their Adamantite Powder to produce LPSs, check out the market on your server for the straight Mercurial Adamantite. A lot of new Sunwell trash recipes use these, so the prices on our server have spiked much above (going for 20-40g, up from about 5-10) what the LPS path would provide me with.

On our server (Arathor EU) there are very few green (uncommon) gems in the AH - for a few days now. Probably due to the announced Glass change. Maybe people are withholding them to "transmute" or sell when 2.4.2 is live - either way, I wouldn't be surprised if their price goes up. And analogously, the price of both Diamonds, which is already spiking because of the primals keeping an almost 'vendor badge' price level.
