Sorry, I was maybe a bit unclear too... Analyst is nice, but it's scope is only within a single toon. What I need is an addy that sums it up over all your alts, being altoholic. And, Analyst is able to show stats from 1 day to 1 month, but not longer than that, after my quick testing yesterday.

So, looking for an addon that shows
  • lifetime stats loss/gain - differentiated or not...
  • ...and make a grand total for all your alts (on one server)
that is, how much money all of my toons each have made/lost from the moment I installed said addon, with grand totals.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know?

Did anyone notice more deep breaths from Ony since last patch?

Seriously, this kind of thing I'm seeing from friends I've tried to help make money. Not getting a great run of luck early off and then giving up. This game is nothing but dice rolls at every turn. Persisting is the only way forward.

Or do I just trust my gut, and send random tells to members of high level guilds asking when they raid?
You can usually find their raiding times in their application form template and the names of the most progressed guilds on the realm forums. You will at the very least get specific days from their dkp page.

Failing all of this, sure, just ask.

After that I just buy greens from AH to DE(mostly cheap weapons, chose those at the level that gives greater essences). Only 255-275 is hard because you need to lvl on lesser mana oil. which you kind of make back some cost selling it on AH for cheap.
I powerleveled enchanting from 1-300 twice and I don't ever remember making mana oils. What I did (both times) was find someone else who wanted to power level tailoring, and spent a day duoing from RFC all the way to Scholo. I actually MAKE money powerlevelling enchanting this way, as opposed to it costing me anything. Use the extra cash from silver drops/vendored items/shards you won't use to powerlevel enchanting and buy any dust you might be lacking.

This method is, of course, for people who don't have or aren't willing to spend the money to straight buy the mats.

Only up to page 29 and I haven't seen this mentioned yet.

Anyone had any luck selling Thottbot World of Warcraft: Throat Piercers Alliance side?

It is a 6 silver buy from the vendor that I can grab 3-4 a week from and sell them in trade for 5g or so in trade chat on weekends while doing my normal auctioning. I have a few contacts on the Alliance side of my server (PVP) that I could probably broker a partnership but wanted to see if anyone else had had any luck moving these on the Alliance 19 twink market.

Does anyone have any input as to what the best sink for Netherweave Cloth is? Large Prismatics are about 30g apiece and Arcane Dust goes for 25-30g a stack, while Netherweave Cloth is about 3g50s/stack, so I'm thinking Arcanoweave bracers then DE. Curious as to if people do other things with it.

Arcanoweave bracers are the cheapest guaranteed LPS items, so often a good bet. Alternative uses include making bags, BoE recipes, selling in bulk to tailoring levelers through Trade, or simply making bandages and selling to vendor for the easy out.

I believe I have seen them sell for 30+gold, as the other alternative is the gryphonwing longbow (+1agi).

Though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours, and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable; I simply am not there.

Based on the powerlevelling guide on the EU forums and WoWEcon's prices, the cost to hit 275 is just shy of 275g. It's about 600g for 300 (required to D/E level 70 epics) and a whopping 4.5k for 375 (2/3 of that is just from shards, however).

It helps tremendously if you level a crafting profession alongside Enchanting. I did Leatherworking at the same time as Enchanting and pushed both to 350 in ~1 day for around 1200 gold total using the powerlevelling guides on the EU forums (although beware; some things have changed since those were written - specifically for leatherworking, doing 260-265 is much better done using drums instead of heavy clefthoof for example).

I suppose that depends on your guild. Guilds who have killed Illidan generally are ones who know the value of pots/elixirs/flasks and will still use them. Guilds which are puttering around in Kara/ZA are likely to be more casual and not care to use consumables. That is of course a gross over simplification of things, but something to think about nonetheless. I know I still go through 3-4 Elixir of Demonslaying, 2 Flasks and about 30 Haste pots in the ~6 hours of raiding I do a week now to clear MH/BT.

One thing to note about consumables.. generally top guilds will use a LOT of consumables, but they realize this and it is worthwhile for a guild like that to just produce everything themselves. I know I would never dream of buying Assult flasks or Haste pots on the AH - too expensive. Instead I can buy the mats off the AH and pass them to the appropriately spec'd Alchemist, getting my pots (plus some free procs) for significant savings. My guild has an elixir Alchemist with every flask and every elixir recipe there is. We also have 2-3 potion spec'd guys with Haste/Destruction pots (and ofc Super Mana).

Target the people who don't think ahead and want their consumables NOW. Opportunity cost = Big profit. Selling a stack of Super Mana Pots for 17g (that you bought/created for 6g a few days ago) is great fun.

2.4 changes...

This should shake up the Large Prismatic Shard industry a bit...

This helps reduce the exorbitant prices currently being seen for Large Prismatics, and helps raise the value of the Void Crystals. While this is the only change planned in 2.4 to help the Void Crystal prices, we're still looking at the possibility of additional 'help' for Void Crystal value in the future.

Lastly, Scale of the Sands reputation will now be awarded in Hyjal at a much higher.

New enchanting recipe in 2.4

This was just posted recently and could cause a bit of a stir. But in 2.4 there will be a new enchanting recipe that once a day you can turn 1 void crystal into 2 large prismatic shards. They are doing this to reduce the cost of the shards.

Here is the page that Drysc posted on for reference: Second post down

awww.. you beat me to it, Rodandwa =P

Were Large Prismatics really overpriced to begin with?

I think we all agree Void Crystals are undervalued at the moment, but this seems like a knee-jerk reaction to the problem to me. If it tanks the price badly enough, you could see Greater Planars coming out as more valuable than Large Prismatics.

I don't see this doing anything but killing the price of LPS. Even casual guilds like mine have stacks and stacks of void crystals just sitting there. If those are going to hit the market as shards, the price should crater fairly quickly.

Voids will settle at about 15g. Xmute is worth 10g. This will price prismatic at about 18, cutting the price by 25% on Tichondrius. Still, nearly, double the price of greater planar.

LPS's are going to be outrageously cheap when every guild dumps there giant stock into LPS's and sells them. After it recovers from that initial outbreak of shards they will go back up but I doubt they will ever reach the post S3 prices. Which I think is overall a good thing, it was rediculous spending 200 gold to buy an enchant for most people.

You won't be able to simply dump them; each enchanter can create 2 LPS per day. How many enchanters do you have in your guild?

Shit, I forgot about that...

I'm sure we have at least 10-20 enchanters at 375 if we include alts so it won't take a terribly long time to get rid of the 9 million void shards clogging up the bank.

It's a 24 hour cooldown, so there can be no initial outbreak. There will be a constant flow of |enchantes| * 2 extra LPS/day on the market.

How many 375 enchanters do you have in your guild, that's probably the real question.
