I always did 9 of the Netherwing dailies and "Fires over Skettis". I skipped the quest where you turn in 40 Netherwing Crystals, because I never could get 40 from the mobs I would kill for the other quests, but I could get enough every days, so I rotated it with the Skettis quest.
I'm not really sure about good Skettis (Other than Fires over Skettis) or Ogri'la dailies, as I've never done them.

#1 Nethermine Cargoes 18.2g?
#2 Booterang 12g
#3 Nethercite Ore 12g
#4 Dragons are the least of our problems (don't do this at primetime, or if you do, group for it) 12g and 10-20 crystals
#5 Twilight Portal netherwing killquest (takes about 4 minutes and usually 2-4 rich ada veins up)12g
#6Fires over Skettis 12g
#7Skettis escort 9.2g
#8Demon banishing (group for this, pull ganarg analyzers to wrath and ae all 6 down for faster completion) 12g +shartuul event every 5th day(if you dont get a full darkrune)
#9 Ogrila bombs 12g
#10 Aether Rays 12g
As you can see, you easily get 12gx 8, 18g x1, 9g x1 with hardly any work. Combine this with the drops that occur during the kill quests (between 3 and 10 greens easily just from netherwing quests), you're netting close to 150g from greys/arcane dust/quest turnins.
Additionally, as has been mentioned, the shartuul event can net you the badge of tenacity, which is one of the best feral tank trinkets in the game and can sell from 800-2000gold easily. Shartuul is further worth doing as in 2.3 you can get superheal/mana potions from ogrila instead of just shitty ogre ones. Even if the epic bracers/gloves have incredibly low sell prices on your server (50g-ish on dragonblight) void crystals still sell well. Fuck the druid ring though, seriously should not be on his loot table.
Optional #11 Do simon says(ogrila) instead of skettis escort, same gold amount,+15 apexis shards, but you dont get the 2 potions, on the otherhand, you dont have to fight people for the quest-spawn.
optional #12: netherwing crystals: Every 2nd/3rd day, depending on your luck with drops during "dragons" daily, this is an easy turnin, not worth grinding to do as a daily for cash only terms however.
*edit* The two quests from yarzil @nwing ledge are long, droprates suck, and the reward is not worth the food/netherweave cost. Additionally the "deadliest trap ever laid" etc. are garbage without a group and long even with one.

I rolled my Warlock exactly for one reason, farming gold.
It's really easy to do and nearly everyone can do it. All you need to do is search the auction house for Shadow Wrath gear really to get a pretty good amount of shadow damage. Stamina isn't really important because of Siphon Life, Life Drain and their effects combined with Fel Armor. If things look bleak you just fear. Anyways, thats not really on topic and is pretty obvious so I'll move on.
Outside of farming primals with my Warlock I found one of the best places to farm is around the first mana forge south of Area 52 in Netherstorm. The area with the engineers. Basically what I do is do the lower level then walk up this hill to clear the next camp. Each camp takes around 5-6 minutes to do, and with ample spell damage (900~) it only takes 3 GCD to kill a mob. When you kill one camp the other camp will entirely be respawned, so hardly any downtime. Save your dark pacts and life tap GCD's when you're walking or when you get spell breaker effect on you, is really the only tips I can give.
You can do it by yourself with minimal downtime, but with a healer (druid is best) you can go forever. The other advantage is they loot while you kill, and you can split it however you like at the end. These runs (which we usually do for an hour) nets around 30-40g in just silver, 600-700 netherweave, vendor trash around 15g, a buncha greens (amount varies obviously, but around 6-10 usually) and lots of reputation. Depending on your luck you can usually net around 8-12 tomes on average and nearly 150 signet. So around 7.5k rep in an hour.
The last good farming place is legion hold in SMV. The areas with the Warlocks channeliing. No matter how much spell damage you have, there is no way you can out pace the respawn rate of the mobs (atleast I couldn't with nearly 1200 spell damage). Outside of having to kill the pitlord once every ~10 minutes, you can go on forever and ever.

Just to add to this, there's pretty much nothing more efficient than an MS/Sweeping Strikes warrior for farming the warlocks in LH, they die in 4 hits, pummel and macestun proc like crazy, and Sweeping strikes is up every 6-8th mob for fantastic speed pulls. You will get your shit grilled by morgoron's rain of fire unless you get lucky stuns however, but he is easily avoided/duoed. SP or Feral druid are the perfect partners for this area if you are MS.
With Whirlwind getting a significant buff in 2.3 and the SS change, fury warriors will be on par with MS for clearing this area, if not slightly better. It's still a great area for any burst dps class (warlocks have 5k hps and almost zero armor), but those classes that can ae without mana win out for kills per minute.

I'd just like to reiterate that mining is indeed a gold mine (pun intended)! I got my first epic flying mount on my shaman by finishing off my quests in Netherstorm, BEM, SMV and mining... alot.
On this character (my mage) I've tried playing the AH, but I lack the patience and understanding in order to make it a very profitable undertaking.
However, I am really looking forward to farming those trees in Skettis when I get 375 herbing.

Surprises me that no-one has mentioned Bash'ir Landing in BEM yet (at least from my quick skim of this thread). Level 70-72 mobs that drop a good amount of netherweave each plus decent silver, also the unbound ethereals have a high rate of drop for motes of mana.
These mobs also drop depleted crystal foci (useful as a healthstone) and have a chance to drop blue and purple depleted items plus etherium prison keys. Works best if you are an enchanter to DE the various items you get.

I'll second this. I will usually walk away with 3-4 keys in less than an hour, which will get me from 0 to 4 BoP blues, depending on how lucky I am (which is why you want to have at least 275 enchanting.) It's also a great place to level up a pet. And additionally the key cards get you Consortium rep if you're not exalted already.

This method funded my Main's Tailoring to 375+ Shadowweave set + epic flying mount + epic flying mount for my alt + soon epic flying mount for my other alt. Definitely worth the 20mins it takes to buy 30 or so stacks of adamantite, prospect it all, cut it and sell it. I also grinded the mana forges on my warlock, taking an entire camp at a time (dot, fear, dot, dot, dot, next target, repeat) pretty much zero downtime with 800-1100 shadow damage, shadow weave set, affliction & draining life when necessary.
Pre BC I was a farming MANIAC, I used to log on every day and just farm mobs over and over and over for rep or specific patterns (6 whelplings from Badlands & 3 Crusader chants just from leveling my chars grinding specific spots). That funded my epic mounts & raiding but not much else, I also have terribad luck with BoE epics. I'm talking two BoE epics EVER in my two years of wow, the first one being ring of saviours which blows hard and the second being lvl 70 healing pants of hawtness which took months to sell.

The best place to go for pure consortium rep (apart from H MT) is the Scrap Heap or Scrap Pile or whatever it's called. Just SE of Area 52 in Netherstorm. The mobs there drop insignias at about a 30-50% drop rate, which are worth 25 rep each, as well as keys (assuming you've done the quest chain in NE Netherstorm). As a poorly geared feral druid (mix of blues and greens) I farmed to exalted here in about twelve hours (from 3000/6000 honoured). I'd pull 3-4 mobs at a time (which basically tends to happen often anyway, the way they're clumped), build up 4-5 combo points on them with mangle, then rip and switch to the next target. I'd finish up on 10-30% health, switch out to full heal and do it again. Now I get 2 free blue gems (and a handful of greens) every month. Works out to 2-3g per day extra, but the entire grind netted me over 100 greens (I counted, cause I saved them up for 300->360 enchanting!), and probably a few thousand netherweave.
The Deadliest Trap Ever Laid can be piss easy to solo for a lot of classes though. If you're melee or a healer then you'll need help, but as a frost mage I found it to be a cinch, and I'm sure warlocks and hunters would be able to do it easily enough too (not sure about spriests, boomkins, ele shamans though). Takes about 3 minutes and gives plenty of rep too!

Heh, I've been playing WoW now for ... hrmmm over three years I suppose? Since closed beta at least. I've only ever had two BoE epics drop, both the same item (Hammer of the Northern Wind, ugh), both from the same satyrs in northern felwood, and both on the same day. Thing is, it was on two different characters. One NE warrior, one tauren warrior, on different servers. Haven't even seen a BoE epic drop apart from those two hammers.

It's trivial for a healer (priest, anyway) too. Run in, aggro a couple guys, run back to some guards, wait for guards to get multi-shotted, heal self, repeat until event finished. However, compared to the other dailies, it's barely worth doing because it only rewards 8g or so.

I don't know how a healer could possibly fail to solo The Deadliest Trap Ever Laid. I accidently did it naked once while taking a break from the races. Also, the event takes 4-6 minutes, not counting travel time.

I really do not want to turn this into 5 pages of "How many world epic drops I've had and the detailed circumstances thereof" but coincidentally in my 2 years of playing, the only 2 world epics I've had while solo (non-instanced) were also on the same day, within an hour of each other. Random is random, apparently.
My favorite way to make gold has always been buying uncommon armor to disenchant, but on Emerald Dream it seems that has lately become a more popular hobby than it previously was. Searching 'arcane dust' will usually yield 300-500 results, and undercutting becomes an issue, to the point that it's no longer the lucrative endeavor it used to be.

Hrmmm actually maybe as a healer it is easier than I thought. I gave it one go on my pally, trying to heal the captain at Aldor base, but I couldn't keep both myself and him up. I didn't think to try pulling the riders back to agro more guards. As my Scryer mage I find it easy to just single target blast them down, although I would advise against using tab to select the next target, lest you accidentally nuke a nearby player and get guard raped!

Some people have mentioned how much an epic mount helps, but I want to lay this out explicitly here: it is a better decision by far to borrow cash for your epic mount and use said epic mount to farm the cash up and pay them back. I know that I personally do not like being in debt, or borrowing cash, or feeling an outside obligation to have to farm cash for someone else, but I am quite satisfied with having borrowed 3.5k gold to get my epic mount. It opens up the netherwing dailies, which isn't as important as they add it more dailies to the game but they're still fun past neutral, and if you have a relevant gathering skill it helps immensely. You also save a small amount of cash from never needing to use a flypoint again.

I don't really know of anybody who didn't borrow at least little bit of money for their epic flying mount. I borrowed 1200 gold and payed it off in two weeks from just doing the new dailies. 3.5k is a lot more though. If you have a gathering profession an epic flying mount increases the rate you can gather stuff by a ton so it might be worth it then as long as you can deal with owing someone money.
