Hmm, I didn't notice this at all and don't really see why a client-side error would cause any delay. I actually thought that last night it seemed slightly easier to keep up HoT stacks and such.

I very often roll lifebloom with 3 instants in-between (lifebloom on 4 tanks, for example) and in doing so I tend to spam the key a lot during global cooldown. You could say I'm a button-masher. Anyway, It seemed like I had around 0.9 seconds left on my first lifebloom when I renewed it, when I've very frequently seen it drop below 0.6 seconds pre-2.3. I don't know though, it could be lower server lag. Regardless, my button-spamming didn't seem to have any new negative effects.

I get several odd vendor and pet feeding issues. Quite often I can't sell something to a vendor that is just separate and it tells me I'm too far from the vendor when I'm clearly right next to it. I get that same message a lot repairing. Usually I have to go to another vendor then come back for it to work.

Also quite often if I try to feed my pet the pet wont eat and the high lighted hand just stays there. I have to hit escape, move the food to another bag in my inventory then try feeding again.

Yes, indeed.

I have lower than ever Latency, I can spam all buttons in any combination (FB, ILance, Fire Blast) and they all cast when they should. There's also fifty gazillion BGs open, every place being raided and cleared, so it's CLEARLY "GAME BREAKING", I lol'ed.

Eg. I cast iAE, then spam Fire Blast, I get Spell Not Ready until the grey GCD circle makes its way all around the buttons, when it's completed it casts Fire Blast. And that's on 50ms and 250ms Latency connections.

PS: No warrior managed to charge me yet either when I spam Ice Lance when he approaches me......

PPS: I am also amazed how all these people think they know how the new system "works", all the patch notes say is "Client spell cast requests are now sent to the server even if your player is already casting another spell. This eliminates the need for /stopcasting in macros to compensate for latency." Please note it says nothing about GCD.

WoW Forums -> New GCD, post disagreements here.

Read this thread. There is a handful whiners who obviously don't get it, and tons of people who can play just fine. Still think it's game breaking?

I've noticed yesterday that all the illusion forms such as the Noggenfogger Elixir do not replace any more the shadow form (undesired change ?). Very cool.

Bug: Starshards are effected by spellhaste now, but it doesn't shorten the time between your ticks. The starshards dot just fades earlier.

A few minor things I noticed:
- when mouse overing the mail icon on minimap it shows who has sent me the latest 3 unread mails (or was it done also before by Squeenix?)
- the mouse cursor changes depending on the type of service provided by a NPC, e.g. a little anvil if the vendor can repair, a little question mark for questgivers, etc.
- little glowing sparks around herb nodes and quest loot
- classes appear in their class colour in the Social pane
- talents for some classes seem to be a bit messed up, e.g. one of our dps warriors has rampage, but it wouldn't show in his talents list nor on inspect, but he could still use the skill, I think it's somehow related to the weapon expertise talent
- a lot more "this ability is not ready yet" messages at first, which might or might not be related to the GCD issue, but I found it easy to adapt
- void reaver orbs follow an arc now, they are less visible, making the fight slightly more difficult
- new graphics on hunter's volley... it's, hmm, let's say we are on a family website and I won't comment
- new "fireworks" graphics on TK trash's volley/aoe, looks funny to say the least
- graphics look "sharper" in general on my computer

Also I wish they had nerfed the trash pulls before KT rather than the fight itself!

I didn't saw this anywhere, but... the patch happened yesterday on EU realms, and since then Skald was heavily bugged: The Fire Elementals are respawning in less than 10 seconds. Nearly nobody noticed, but I made like 15 primal fire in a few hours, with a sub-par spec.

To give you an idea, I was three-shooting the elementals and couldn't kill more than two of them, the first respawned by the time I destroyed the second. I almost didn't have the time to loot...

On Arcane shot and dispelling. Last night I did some testing in shadowform with no buffs, dueling a hunter and he just used arcane and he couldn't dispell shadowform. I then buffed and he striped all of them but shadow form (interestingly Prayer of Mending gets dispelled before damage from the shot is dealt so the heal doesn't proc.)

Also if your doing Illidari council and your hunters dps high astromancer at all, remind them and arcane shot can dispell the spell shield/dampen magic effect.

The less-than-10-seconds is actually (for Blizzard) instantaneous. Kill the mob, it instantly repops somewhere it its patrol path.

We found a nice little spot where there were 3 within shooting range, and myself, a destro lock, a shadow priest, and a fury warrior basically farmed for an hour ... getting 39 primals. THAT is what farming should be. It was fun. We never stopped killing for the entire time, and there was never less than 15 corpses on the ground. It's obviously unintended, but exploit early, exploit often, I guess.

Someone above mentioned Supremus bugging out -- we had a similar thing happen on Tuesday when we killed him. We killed him during a kite phase, and when he hit 1% and charged a paladin, every single person in the raid locked. Screen locked, no movement, no action possible ... just sat there. After about 30 seconds, a couple of people recovered movement, and were able to confirm that dots had killed him (and not wiped the raid, thankfully), and then about 30 seconds later most of the raid recovered in a lovely lurchy lag-filled moment. 9 people went offline.

No clue what was causing it. We do *not* have universal acceptance of DBM or BigWigs; everyone who locked was not running one or both. It just seemed to be something to do with him.

In "continuing the fun" news, we wiped on Shade of Akama because we forgot the fundamental rule: "Blizzard hates paladins" (prot paladin couldn't hold threat on the Defenders, even though Omen showed him pumping out the threat at crazy rates). Post-wipe, he was bugged as described above. The first pull was "normal", in that there were 6 functional channelers, and adds spawned, and all that jazz. It was a fun 35 second kill without channelers. Dumb, but fun.

Pathing for intercept to Al'ar (up the ramps after a Quill) is broken, causing warriors to run back down the ramp.

We killed Al'ar on Tuesday, and did not observe any problems. Were you attempting to intercept from the ground? Our warriors run out onto the ramp and take a couple of steps and then start mashing intercept until it goes off. We did notice that you can intervene from the ground to the top if you're in just the right position, but it's too gimmicky to do reliably.

It happened once to one of our warriors yesterday.
From what he said, he might have been starting Intercepting too early (and that would confirm Constantius' analysis).

Also, the AI change to hunters' pets (which is great in most situations) made my pet run in circles like a headless chicken on platform 4 > platform 1 transitions.

Ahah. I was experiencing the same thing while farming Sirens at Coilskar Point for the new meta design. I'd kill one, and it would respawn practically instantly. I stood in 1 spot killing the same mob a good 20-30 times.
However, it was just before my server went down for the bonus maintenance, and I haven't gone back to check since then. It may be fixed.

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I think I figured out why some herbs glow while others do not. If a herb is glowing, you'll only get that particular herb from it. If it is not glowing, it has something else along with the herb, be it Motes of Life or a Fel Lotus. This has held good for me on every herb pick.

EDIT: Ok, scratch that. Just contradicted this by getting only Terocone from a non-glowing herb.

Another unfortunate side-effect to the new AI (trying to get behind the target) is that if you try to send your pet to attack a mob that has its back to a wall, the pet (if it has only melee attacks) will not attack unless the mob is first pulled away from the wall. (Manually selecting a ranged attack instead of /petattack works though.)

Not sure if this is mentioned cuz I read some pages didnt see it. Like the herbs glowing, the eggs for Sketti's quest are now glowing as if lootable and so are the nethermine cargo crates, easier to see now.

You can now wrangle aether rays at 39% life. (Making this daily much easier for Enhance shaman who previously would vaporize the aether ray with a windfury when it was around 19%)

Twin Blades were given a 45 second hidden cooldown.

Sounds now always originate from your character (positional audio) and the option for this was removed from the sound menu. There's a cvar command you can put in the config file to change it back to non positional if you want. SET Sound_ListenerAtCharacter "0"

Shitting up every single thread on EJ since '06
