Didn't see this mentioned, but the guys you can MC in VRs room now have about a one or two second cooldown on their bomb spell. So much for shaving a couple of minutes off the trash time >>

This was being used against the boss, which was considered an exploit.

Just for the record, a lot of stuff in that thread was bullshit. Not necessarily wrong, but "assumed". GMs don't have access to as much information as people assume. It is an entry position, afterall

Herb nodes (for me, an Herbalist, at least) now usually have the loot sparkles around them. Some do, some don't, but it's not the type of herb that determines if it has the sparkles or not.

Rumor has it that Arcane Shot will "dispel" Shadowform and bug it so that the priest is unable to re-enter Shadowform until they relog.

I don't know exactly how to describe this, but as I was leveling my alt mage tonight I noticed that the mobs in STV were acting very strangely. As I pulled them, they would usually stop midway for about .5 - 1 second then start up again. Anyone else notice this?

Anyone notice some changed language with macro's? I had previously been using an all-in-one stealth macro

#show Stealth
/cast [nocombat] Stealth; [combat] Vanish;

Here's the only thing. When not in combat, the macro used to also remove me from stealth and now it does not. Could just be that /cast Stealth no longer removes you from Stealth. I haven't figured it out yet.

Has it been established that simply the act of being feared is enough to disable your avoidance?

I know that you can't block/dodge/parry when stunned, and running away while feared is probably going to disable block/dodge/parry if you're not facing the attacker, but I was wondering if your avoidance would still work while feared, provided you're facing correctly.

You can't dodge/block/parry if you're not in control of your actions. You're definitely not in control while feared.

Has anyone noticed an actual decrease in graphical performance in raids?

I'm 'hitching' a lot while spell casting. it says I'm getting really good FPS on the little FPS monitor I have, but when I'm pounding out a lot of spells the game seems to be hitching as I cast. I'm kind of annoyed.

Have you tested this or is this just your assumption? It sounds logical of course, but that doesnt always mean its true.

If it hasent been tested by the time our servers are back up (in 6 hours if it doesnt get delayed) I'll bug some people to help test it. (something like roots on a feared warrior in avoidance gear should do it. -Roots to keep him in place so you can actually hit him-)

Two of our warriors started having FPS issues. I'm not sure if its WoW or one of their addons or what though.

We've had a few people complaining of FPS issues in ZA also. Could just be addons. Could just be that it's a large outdoor setting with a lot of graphical material that's hogging memory.

Was true before the patch. Bombs now have GCD.

From the ui and macro forum:

* Spells in /cast and /castsequence will no longer toggle. This means that a macro like: /cast Auto Shot will no longer be exactly equivalent to putting Auto Shot on your action bar, instead it will always try to cast Auto Shot.

The change to dual-core processor performance seems to have improved the FPS when running on my laptop (a MacBook Pro) a good deal. I was sitting around 65-70 FPS while questing, which (from my memory) is a good deal higher than it was prior to today.

One very minor undocumented change I noticed is that the Horde quest "Grimtotem Spying" in Thousand Needles now works properly. Prior to 2.3, the chests containing the needed letters were untargetable.

I'm pretty sure my FPS issues are coming from this new server side casting thing. The game seems to hitch when I complete a spell. Or if I'm spamming the hell out of my lifebloom key.

This is very annoying.

Most probably the fps problems are caused by video setting reset which puts terrain distance to medium.

I'm getting pretty bad FPS too, as are people in my guild. And this is with people who in some cases had graphical settings maxed pre patch. Don't know if it is just first night lag, but I was getting 10-13 FPS in Ramparts tonight which sucked.
