Some specific questions:
1) Assuming Eagle -> Bear -> Dragonhawk -> Lynx kill order, what are some typical benchmarks (minutes remaining) after each kill?
2) What is the best way to minimize time lost to looting items/badges and opening bonus chests? Should we talk to the NPC then leave area and open all chests after timer is over? Or should we not free any NPCs while on the timer?
3) How feasible is tanking all the elite warrior-type mobs during the Eagle gauntlet and just aoeing them down as we aoe birds?
4) What is the fastest path to clear to Dragonhawk, through the hut area or the egg area?
5) How do you minimize time spent on the Dragonhawk boss? How many birds do you let hatch each time? If we don't hatch enough, is the final zerg reliably survivable assuming your casters/healers are sufficiently overgeared? (I recall one kill where we hatched maybe 12 birds total before the final zerg, then somehow managed to down them all at the end with bop/pain supression/battle rezzes on our AOE and tab SWP from the shadow priest, but I'm not sure whether this would be repeatable.)

As another point of reference we run with G1=Feral MT, MS Warrior, Enhance, Ret, Fury or Rogue and G2=Resto Shaman, Holy Paladin, Shadow Priest, Destuction Warlock, Survival Hunter. Our last run we had eagle dead with 24 minutes after addition. Bear dead with 30 minutes after addition. Dragonhawk with 19 or 18 and Lynx with just under 7.
As stated before, we all loot badges, mount and go immediately after a boss dies and use group loot.
I simply pull 2 mobs at a time on Eagle, always pulling the next pair when the 2nd mob is at 70% or so. One of our warriors gets agro on the back pack of mobs as it runs up and uses them for rage bots.
For dragonhawk we have all ranged stand on one side while the hatcher breaks 100% of the opposite site and all the melee zerg them then they rotate sides. By the time the second set of hatcher's comes out he's already below 35% and they are all broke. We always keep a frost trap or earthbind on the side we are killing. One semi important thing is to have some ranged dps focus target the hatcher you do not kill on the first wave as he will sometimes run across to the opposite side after hatching them all and hatch the entire other side. The one time that happened we just boped the lock and I aoe taunted after but we did have 2 deaths. You can actually just zerg the guy down from 35% to 0 without even bothering with the eggs as long as they both have traps/earthbind and you properly use aoe taunts and Righteous Fury however it's sort of risky. It would shave another minute off the timer though if you are desperate but if you have the dps to pull that off then you certainly shouldn't be having problems with the trial.
Also I solo tank Lynx which increases dps substantially. The only time we ever use a second tank is the 2 mounted bear pulls immediately before the bear boss as well as the boss himself.
We had a real issue with our shadow priest dying from MCs breaking but double paladin solved that quite nice.
