Just logged off from an hour session of playing around with it, still works.

Was well worth the 100g to play around with, but I never did anything serious with it, nor do I recommend anybody to use it for such purposes. Was teleporting from SMV to Scryer Bank and all sorts of crazy things, was pretty cool. Was too scared to actually do BG's with it, or enter a dungeon with it as I heard reports of people getting suspensions from it already (friend of a friend sorta thing).

There was a running joke that the only thing a ShS rogue is good for is to ShS back to the trainer to re-train faster. Today I accomplished this, by focusing the Cenarion Circle dude and tagetting the trainer in Org (of course I could've done the same thing from Silithus probably. Good times.

I believe he's probably referencing the Cenarion Circle neutral NPC in Orgrimmar.

Really? I tried to do this using a raid member but it wasn't doing anything. It just blew the cooldown, aggroed the mob, and I was left standing there.

That means you're 'out of range' (or out of cache) in my testing.

Try going closer, or making sure you've been past the place you want to get to recently or similar... (IME)

After 4 hours and a lot of fun in warsong gulch (over 3900 honor in 60-69 bracket) I received the friendly whisper from the GM.

48 hour ban and I don't regret it at all - nothing compares to the whispers I got from alts and the posts they made on the forums. The honor is more than I would have made during two days of playing at night anyways.

If you're gonna do it, don't do it for 4 hours.

I had that before when I was quite close to someone and was pretty sure he was in my cache. When I jumped to the guy in HFP I only had him in party and hadn't been there at all. I guess its not 100% guaranteed over long distances.

I did some pretty thorough testing of this last night.

*It can be done using only npc's although the npc's must be neutral or hostile, cannot be used on friendly npc's.
*You must have seen your target at least once if this is a player just sending/receiving a tell to/from that player can work sometimes.
*It can be only done within the same zone. I could not replicate cross-zone teleporting. Tried Terro > Nagrand and *Nagrand > Zangar.
*Target's altitude (z-axis) makes a difference.
*Was able to do Telar > Throne of Elements (upper area).
*Was able to do Burning Blade Ruins > Warmaul.
*Was not able to do Laughing Skull > Twilight Ridge (possibly z-axis restriction).
*Was able to teleport to a flying target as long as they we're not too far too high.
*Look on a horde's face when I teleported behind him out of nowhere, priceless.

Yep, still not fixed, rogue just shadowstepped with the flag today in WSG. Capped it like instantly. Has anything been mentioned about this requiring a client-side fix? I find it hard to imagine that this still isn't fixed.

I just experienced this bug in a warsong gulch. Pretty much ruined the whole experience for me, it's bad enough that it exists, but the fact that it completely fucks up a battleground is pretty lame. This made me extremely upset :\

I think it's been fixed. Several rogues I have been talking to told me that the bug was not working today, and instead stepping to the mouseover / focus target.

This bug was fixed on the Steamwheedle Cartel realm in a rolling restart about 2 minutes ago. Pre-restart, bugged out; post-restart, working as intended. Dang. D:
