Selim Fireheart has amazing voice acting, also glad to see with Sathrovar they CAN do an accent without it being ridiculously over the top(Looking at you Anetheron). And of course, Kil'jeaden is great, then again, anything would be after Robo-Archimonde.
All the voices are top quality. Great stuff all around.
I just extracted the sound files from the MPQ and am going through them.
Anveena reminds me of Colette from Tales of Symphonia so much. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad one. Kalec is incredible though, he's got the angry dragon thing down.
From the sheer number of sound files it looks like there is going to be at least one huge 'cinematic' somewhere in SWP with a lot of the main players from the expansion talking it out. The lore geek inside me is very excited at the thought of this kind of stuff, the practical guy inside me doesn't want to have to go through another set of Kael speeches for the next 6 months.
EDIT: I love that they did voice acting for the 5-man instance as well. I hope this becomes the norm, it would be nice to play with sound once in a while.

It's been the norm since up to Sunken Temple, and then Molten Core and beyond*. However, the most-trafficked endgame areas for non-raiders prior to the expansion didn't have any voice acting at all, ever. (Blackrock Depths, Stratholme, Scholomance, Dire Maul, Blackrock Spire, Onyxia's Lair) It just seems like a glaring oversight that they had plenty of time to fix and never did.
(then again, I'm not sure how people would have reacted to a voiced rend yelling 'woot')
* yes I am aware that MC 1.0 didn't have voice acting, but they put it in shortly after the first guilds pulled up on ragnaros - and that the TK instances didn't have voice either at release but they went and put it in as soon as they could
They uh... added voice acting for the TBC 5-mans that were missing them in, er, 2.1 I believe. And to Gruul, SSC, etc., all of which were missing at TBC launch.

It would be really nice if there were more sound filtering options so those of us who literally cannot stand to play with the rest of the sounds on could still listen to just the voices of the bosses.
As it is, for anyone like that who is also on a mac: I've taken to just recording each boss fight and then listening to it afterwards so I can hear the voice acting "in situ" at least once .
(edit) to be clear, the reason I said mac was that you can record without vent etc. messing up the voice acting.

Absolutely agree with you there. Music + Voices in something like Illidan encounter really adds to the 'epicness' and general atmosphere of the area, but having to listen to the holy casting animation for 15 minutes makes me just ctrl+S to shut it up. Always just kinda annoyed me in the same way that being unable to turn off names of totems/pets/eggberts etc while leaving enemy names on did. At least in 2.4, I can turn off all that stupid green text cluttering up my screen and still be able to look at peoples names.
Now I do indeed see the US PVE and PVP realms (along with a KR test realm). I can connect, too, but I don't have chars there. And going to the PTR char copy page gives me ... well the attached screenshot tells all. I'm not sure what this is trying to accomplish.
Seems that Velen will keep a 2 minute (!) ending speech after killing Kil'Jaeden

and apparently M'uru isn't completely dead, he's left a "sparkle" behind

I seem to remember from the Old Hillsbrad dialog that such a "sparkle" very well may be what we need to make a new Ashbringer. Maybe I'm looking into this too far but...

It seems to be a gateway of redemption for the remaining Blood Elves if you listen to Lady Liadrin's sound files. The entirety of the Burning Crusade has been about them, it had to come full circle and end, and so it seems that it does, in a positive note I might add . She fully embraces the light. And I imagine the remaining loyal Blood Knights will as well. That Light is for them....I think.
To be further specific the dialog goes something like this...if I were to guess that is.

Velen_EndEvent01.wav - Mortal heroes, your victory here today was foretold long ago. My brothers anguished cry of defeat will echo across the universe bringing renewed hope to all those who still stand against the Burning Crusade.
Velen_EndEvent02.wav - As the Legion's final defeat draws ever nearer, stand proud in the knowledge that you have saved worlds without number from the flame.
Velen_EndEvent03.wav - Just as this day marks an ending, so too does it herald a new beginning.
Velen_EndEvent04.wav - The creature Entropius, who knew what force to destroy, was once the noble Naaru M'uru, in life M'uru channeled vast energies of light and hope, for a time a misguided few sought to steal those energies.
LadyLiadrin_EndEvent01.wav - Our arrogance was impardonable. We damned one of the most noble beings of all! We may never atone for this sin.
Velen_EndEvent05.wav - Then fortunate it is that I have reclaimed the noble Naaru spark from where it fell. Where faith dwells, hope is never lost young blood elf.
LadyLiadrin_EndEvent02.wav - Can it be?
Velen_EndEvent06.wav - Gaze now mortals, upon the heart of M'uru, unblemished, bathed by the light of creation, just as it was at the dawn.
Velen_EndEvent07.wav - In time, the light and hope held within will rebirth more than this mere fount of power. May hap they will rebirth the soul of a nation.
LadyLiadrin\SP_Liad_EndEvent03.wav - Blessed ancestors! I feel it! So much love ... so much grace ... there are ... no words ... impossible to describe.
Velen_EndEvent08.wav - Salvation young one, it waits for us all.
Velen_EndEvent09.wav - Farewell.
On a side note, what's with all you guys and your Ace Attorney Avatars, I was trying to be unique here!
I've got these two questions for anyone who can test them.
1) For feral druids regarding the new Natural Instincts, if you're to HoT yourself up and switch to cat form, do your HoTs tick for more or the same?
2) For Troll Shamans, does Berserking stack with Bloodlust to make faster than normal rezes (or do they just not stack period)? Similarly for Troll Priests, does the new Power Infusion stack with Berserking? This is something that seems highly unlikely to ever be pulled off, but hey, both my shaman and priest are trolls!
Not able to get on the PTR myself this weekend, so if it's not tested by Monday I'll bring answers then. I'm impatient for these results >_>.
Mass dispell buff to 10 persons is actually pretty nice, since to me it seems like mass dispell doesn't prioritize people with magic debuffs. More than once, twice or even 10 times I've casted mass dispell on multiple friendly people only to see only 1 or 2 of 5+ magic debuffs they had disappear.

From the sound file KILJAEDENMIRROR02, it sounds like there's going to be a MC element to the fight

Are you taking into account the dispel can be "resisted" or fail or whatnot?
I've never seen that problem, sans resists. But I did find it annoying, while being the only priest for Zuljin, not having mass dispel dispel me first as one of the 5. Oh well, c'est la vie, atleast on Zuljin with decent timing I can get off two mass dispels (Albeit, its also tricky when you're a healer and the tank takes a big hit -_-).

Regarding that "MC" the fact the sound file is labeled "mirror" makes me think moreso he'll create a mirror image of random raid members, which would be infinitely more fun then Mind control again
The dialogue looks pretty fun; I have to admit that there was a big part of me that was hoping SP25 would tie into WotLK in a pretty direct way. I suppose it's still a possibility (an event after Kil'Jaeden dies, maybe), but I had my hopes up, I think, for some kind of Scourge intervention, seeing as how the Lich King is no friend of the Burning Legion either.
The Kalecgos/Anveena lines (presumably throughout the Kil'Jaeden encounter) are actually reasonably moving. :o) Well done.
