The hunter type mobs in those packs have a large radius frost nova with a fairly long duration (think at least 25 seconds).

The frost traps from the hunters can be annoying as melee, but as long as you dispel the tank there is nothing special about it.

Traps rooting your raid is dispelled via mass dispell, in our raids.

You are probably right. And I'd find it really fun, and an excellent "retard" check if they added a debuff on the people being mirrored, making them be attackable by their own raid. The joy of getting even with people that stupidly wiped you in the past.

The tournament PTR is now up and running, you can create any character and it will be automatically level 70. The starting zones have all the trainers and many vendors for each armor type, gems, enchants, hunter pets, there's also an npc that hands you 5000g if you ask him and another that teleports you to the starting areas of the other races.
I'm still trying to buy my armor though, the lag is pretty insane.
edit: Here's a screenshot of the enchantment vendor, pretty nifty: http://i26.tinypic.com/4rywqg.jpg
I wont be surprised if enchants will be tradeable this way by the time WOTLK comes, this shows that the system to do it is already in place.

Blizzard has made a page for the tournament by the way, you can see all the trainers and vendors there, and a full list of what items are available:

Well the enchantment thing has been in for a long time, iirc old world librams used that system already, same as all the armor kits which are just +armor enchants. It's just a matter of balancing the implementation it seems, they want, for some reason, to keep people having to find an enchanter to do their enchants instead of crafting and selling them on the AH. Might be a balance for the fact enchanters were making the most money out of any profession(guess it's JC now though).

Especially with the release of ZA, small guilds trying to gear up people to progress through there also have to go back to multiple level 70 five-man instances for a simple key fragment. It's a waste of time.

I rolled an UD mage on Ysondre, and between there and on Mug'thol, where I transferred to, it took 4 weeks to get keyed for Kara. People in T5 and T6 don't run instances for keying.

Shrug, I had my alt keyed for Kara about two hours after I hit 70. Trying to weasel my alt in greens and blues into a guild run when everyone just wants some quick badges is the hard part.
Personally I have fun destroying 5-mans on my main, I've helped guildies get keyed in the past. If your server really has that low a population then you should try to convince guildmates to help, there's always a few shards in it at the very least. They're also needed for the trial of the naaru quests if that'll get people to do it, heroics are nerfed enough so that one badly geared member won't be an issue.

I'm pretty sure the removal of the kara attunement is just to make it easier to code the checks when someone tries to summon an unattuned person into the instance. I wonder if they will have to make special cases to prevent summoning unattuned people into ony's lair or naxxramus, the only 2 places left you can't zone in without attunement. MC and BWL the attunement is just for the shortcut, actually zoning in from BRD or UBRS doesn't need the attunement.

If true, that would essentially remove any future attunements whatsoever.
Implications aside, I doubt the reason is technical.

Even not taking ony and naxx into account, every heroic instance still needs this check and I doubt they´ll lift that requirement too just to make the summon coding easier.

I recently transferred my hunter. Now, he's got Aspect of the Hawk and Aspect of the Viper, and Mineral/Herb tracking all at once. Since he's a farmer he's unlikely to die - I initially thought the server reset would fix it - but I'm in luck!
I saw the Black Elekk Mount - is it purchasable by 30 AB/AV/WSG Marks as the others are? Or something different?

I just went and checked, can buy the War Elekk for free from the Mount Vendor. I presume it'll be 30 marks of each.
Funny note about it. It has the Hawkstrider icon when you mount it and it sounds like one too.

Summoning people into instances now cost 2 soul shards. Don't know if it's a bug or intended. Made raiding (or attempting to) the last couple of days pretty painful.

I can state with relatively near certainty that the removal of Kara attunement is not about technical difficulty in checking for it. It's about the fact that the expansion is long in the tooth and nearly everyone getting in is an alt. It's just tedium to attune alts and they are making it easier for people to gear them and fill Kara groups at this point. Be thankful.
That said, we Ony attuned an alt the other day and someone always forgets their Drakefire. How about removing that attunement.

I'm confused as to how you do the Zul'jin bear phase that this constitutes a "nerf" where that term has much meaning. We move the healers and tank in range of the mass dispel and no one else. They all get mass dispelled now under the current spell's 5-man limit, everyone else takes a little hit and a naps for a few seconds. There is zero risk of anything bad happening as things currently stand.
Yes, with 10-man mass dispel you can have everyone dispelled and keep DPS-ing. But since the bear phase is already the most trivial one to handle arguably (once everyone is in position, no one needs to move; there is no burst damage on anyone not tanking; etc). I can't believe this change has anything to do with that phase or that it really constitutes much of a nerf. I'm sure bear will end faster with 10-man mass dispel, but what kills casuals -- and heck, us sometimes -- at Zul'jin is eagle and lynx. When I occasionally get grabbed for a Zul'jin PUG on my priest, people die during phase 1 and again eagle and lynx, still not bear.
But maybe I'm missing something here.

He's just pulling your leg and you fell for it.
The change's main motivation most likely comes from a certain effect of the Felmyst/Madrigosa encounter in Sunwell Plateau on 2.4 PTR.

I have a question in regard to the new alchemist stones. If it's been mentioned elsewhere, I apoligize, I couldn't find it.
The recipes I saw linked indicated that someone had learned them. I can't find them anywhere on the PTR, but I read a comment that the recipes are discovered. Can anyone confirm this?

Anyone on PTR realm unable to zone in Sunwell? On EU PvE it keeps saying you have to be level 70 and in a raid group to enter, despite meeting those conditions.
