Well that gives you 3 armor slots from drop...and 5 new "off-set" pieces that require sunmotes. That's a lot of items to drop from only 6 bosses.

Well colour me impressed.

Now waiting for the screenshot of all the 'required hand in' items as they are the ones which will drop in sunwell.

There is however no weapons on there so i wonder if they have something lined up for that... there is an incredible amount of weapons for six bosses so will be interesting if theres a certain weapon per kill etc.
It does appear that they won't allow us to swap weapons though.

What are the actual Epic Tokens named that are required for these new items? Are they class restricted?

The tokens are actual items.

For example;

He was selling a leather moonkin chest for a leather healing chest + sunmote. They both had the same armor value so i assume equal iLvl.
We can surely assume sunmotes drop in sunwell to put an artificial limit on how much item swapping you can do. They may have other uses too of course.

Right right, I wasn't sure if that was actually confirmed yet, haven't seen screenshots of anyone hovering over the currency for the items.

But the sunmote is blue quality? Kind of funny if they drop in sunwell vs. nether vortex.
Thought sunwell would make sense, but what else does..

Yeah, I'm guessing Sunmotes are Sunwell 25's version of Hearts of Darkness.

There are no 'tokens' it is an actual item. So say you have a tanking plate chest piece drop from one of the bosses in sunwell, you take that and you turn it in with a Sunmote, swapping it for a dps chest piece. If you mouse over the 'token icon' you see the offset item it wants in exchange.

Edit: An example to make it more clear, in the picture below you can see him hovering over the 'token icon' which brings up the icon for the Pauldrons of Perseverance(tanking shoulders) the icon is listed as one of the items needed to purchase the Pauldrons of Beserking(dps shoulders).

Second Edit: By the way, for those who were worrying about the requirements for the new tanking meta gem you can breathe a sigh of relief. It requires at least 2 blue gems and at least 1 yellow gem, nothing too harsh.

Now i wonder where the badges of justice loot is 8-]. I see a 70 ally druid next to me so hopefully someone is checking shattrath, if geras still has the same loot then maybe the vendor won't show up until the server unlocks it.

Ps. you cannot reverse the trade with 'Yrma' (the sunmote lady)

Sunmotes seem to be a way to get more loot out of bosses without expanding the loottable.

Here's the other purplz, the ones you turn in to get what I put in my first picture.
It also seems that you always get the opposite "spec" loot. You turn in cloth healing gloves, you get +damage gloves instead.

If I can turn in cloth healing gloves for cloth dpsing gloves (but not plate dps gloves) then I've just introduced another token set. In this case though the tokens are aligned by armor class:

Warrior/Paladin
Hunter/Shaman
Druid/Rogue
Priest/Mage/Warlock

Considering how loudly the mages and warlocks bitch today about how there is so much competition for their loot compared to other classes, I hope they have a slightly higher drop rate on the loot tables than the other pieces else the tears will flow like rain.

It doesn't quite look like that Oaken. From the ss there there is no hunter loot there. Which means you can't exchange it for it. What it looks like you can do is the following:

Warrior tank >< dps
Pally tank/holy/ret
Shaman resto/ele (no enh loot there)
Druid feral/boomkin/resto
Priest dps/holy

What does this mean?

Well, there are 4 necks (caster/healer/DPS/tank), and each one appears to have a pair of associated spells, depending on faction.

Aldor get short duration buff procs: +dmg, +heal, +AP, +dodge. Scryer spells are harder to identify - one is an expertise buff, but it's unclear whether it's DPS or tank oriented, and the others are completely unknown, or possibly direct damage procs.

I think the key is that you can use it before changing it, and after. Can you make the reverse change? If you can, this *might* suggest that in fact it's allowing for convenient respecs with ready-made gear collections available by morphing one set into another, possibly?

It's close to this, but it appears it's more along the lines of:

Cloth Healing / Cloth Damage
Leather Healing / Leather Spell Damage
Leather DPS / Leather Tanking
Mail Healing / Mail Spell Damage
Plate Healing / Paladin Tanking
Plate Tanking / Plate DPS

And then Mail DPS get's left out of the fold it seems, as we've seen no Hunter/Enhancement Shaman DPS items on these vendors anywhere.

The interesting new mechanic of the nonset loot -> offspec loot is that you can play with the tanking/healing gear now, then the day before the expansion is released swap it out for your desired leveling spec without really wasting any gear.

Its one-way. There is no reverse of the requirements.
