Yes but sunwell has no attunement. If they drop from trash or some of the first bosses everyone is gonna go get them is what I meant.

Well it's in line with other craftables; tier2 engineering helm is superior to T6, same with blacksmithing recipies.
I know Blizzard wants the professions to be worthwhile but this is going over the board imo.

That depends how much trash there is before the first boss. According to the report I read, Brutalicious (or whatever his name is) will be a Patchwerk scale gear check. If there is no trash before him, you can assume that no one except the hardcore progressed raiders will be seeing patterns or sunmotes anytime soon.

Every Caster had some form of a crafted robe at the beginning of TBC-Raiding, and I know of a warrior who gathered an entire Raidgroup for his Stunherald. I don't see where the problem should be nowadays.
It's NOT a bad thing, please focus on news, not rants.

I don't know how to do it, but just by looking, it appears the new T6 items (wrist/belt/boots) are indeed higher item level.
Maybe I misread the blue posts about Sunwell, but I thought they said it will start off equal to T6 level, and then go higher from there, so seeing items that are lower is weird.

When you use Rating Buster, you get ilvls of 159-164 for all the token gear, 154 for the new t6 pieces. Blizzard must have just changed things up, or they aren't finished, or something.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't T3 spread through different levels?
[Ring of Faith] - ilevel 92
[Circlet of Faith] - ilevel 88
[Sandals of Faith] - ilevel 86
So then I ask, if there is past precedent for this before, why would it matter now?

Makes me wonder if there's a Shadowcloth reagent one for Affliction/Shadow? No crit, extra +DMG, some spirit or mp5 as well perhaps? Anyone seen anything to this degree?

Can anyone look into the new int=>spirit regen change? As in, what ratio does int affect regen, etc.

The new crafting items seem to blow away Tier 6 items.
The Blacksmithing Breast Plate is amazing.
+1.03% crit(Roughly 23 crit rating), +8 str, + 154 Armor pen, -16 hit.
And with all the armor pen floating around now, those Gauntlets are an upgrade as well.

Yeah, I'm very interested to see where this is going. Will it make mp5 worthless for spi-based healers? I prefer mp5 over spi right now, mostly because Royal Nightseye are over-budget. Will this make +8 spi gems actually worth something? or getting +15 spi over +6mp5 to chest?
This could be huge for druids and priests.

Consequently, it could be a huge nerf for druids and priests. We really need someone to test this for us. It shouldn't be very hard if the mp5 tooltip updates with fluctuations in spirit/intellect. Posting numbers would be greatly appreciated. (eg x spirit and y intellect = z mana regen... then make a table).

sigh, just don't see how they can justify the leather healing chest from http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/...herworking.jpg >>>> Thunderheart Tunic - Items - World of Warcraft
Doesn't even require sunmotes. If the pattern for it isn't a bop drop from inside SW25, I don't even know what to say.
edit: even then, an instance that is supposed to carry on the previous tier shouldn't invalidate arguably the most powerful item in the set by such a large margin. its over 20 healing plus around 7 mp5, just like going from T5 -> T6, except T6 still drops in the same instance.
also, it has less armor than T6. Going out on a limb but I'd guess its higher iLvL.

Like Gurg said on the last page. This is the same as T5 and T6. Easy to make BoP crafted drops from inside the instance and expensive to make boe drops using mats from inside the instance.

If you look at the onslaught belt, for example..
993 Armor
65 Stamina
One socket
24 Defense rating
28 Expertise rating (wow)
40 Dodge rating
56 Block value.
Compared to Gurtog's belt.
993 Armor
56 Stamina
2 Sockets
19 Defense rating
19 Dodge rating
56 Block value.
I'm not an expert on item formula, but 1 socket =/= 28 expertise, 21 Dodge, 6 defense and 9 stamina
The items all seems to be of a much much higher Ilvl then their 141 BT counter-parts, but their armor doesn't seem to be any higher, strangely enough..

Maybe they are finally breaking their own rule about where item points can come from. Makes sense seeing how close people are coming to the armor cap.

It really does make sense. And seeing expertise on set gear is a welcome change, especially when it means not giving up avoidance stats just to get it.

I'm in the same state of mind as some previously posted, about how the heroic badge T6 equal gear will gradually become available as the offensive comes along. Means raiders are not left out in the dry trying to complete the offensive and will get their boss spawns and casuals have something extremely desirable to work toward, both working together.
Wont be any of this "I'm not going to be raiding AQ40/20, why should I help out farm cloth"
I wonder how long the Offensive will take, will it be having its own official website worthy(aka AQ server gate race) or week or two bonus rep farm(aka Argent Dawn Naxx)

I'm still puzzled though on why they are featuring spirit on new Mage raiding gear. I wouldn't expect them to go back through old stuff but if this is indeed the expansion's Naxxramus, I have the expectation that they'd nail the itemization. My theory up until now was that the "upcoming spirit changes" would impact all spirit-using classes, while clearly this implementation really doesn't (outside of arcane specced mages of course).
That's honestly not a complaint, as I imagine we'd simply be rebalanced if the iPoints were moved around. It does strike me as odd however. Speaking of things that strike me as odd though:

Its probably 3 months before they plan to officially open US test server. I'm milidy aware that some are open now, but that was probably the date they talked about when they wrote that.
Edit: and yeah, 2007, not 2006.
