I tried the new fishing daily and I am either an idiot or the fish are not in game yet. Fished up ~50 fish in the area without one drop. Of course I may just be missing something in the PTR madness. As an odd aside, eating and drinking are slightly borked right now as well which reminds me of the old TBC test. Conjured water was not providing mana regen over spirit regen for example. As well, Feltail were listing a 720 Stamina buff which sadly never materialized. You could however eat indefinitely off of one of them.
I did like the layout of the sunwell area. It's pretty clean and well populated. I didn't yet get to test any of the five man as copying is rough on people and tanks were in rather high demand. Ah well. The dailies were all nice and easy with some new 'sharing' features that help on highly contested mobs at least. The outpost is building rapidly as well, sitting at 25% or so already last I looked.
We got a GM to spawn one for us, but other than that I haven't seen one. Got in a few attempts at Kalecgos (last trash pack before him is pretty buggy), nothing like Vael. The encounter was pretty complicated, we still weren't sure exactly what we were supposed to be doing. It's a very healing heavy encounter as least, and depending on how the encounter is supposed to be done, the DPS requirement is quite high as well. Lot of raid AoE damage, Arcane and Shadow.
Server crashed or kicked us to the character screen in the middle of one attempt, logged back in at the front of the instance with trash up, and the group broke up.
I did the fishing daily, just went to Zangarmarsh & fished up a number of the bloated mudgills or something, they each had 1-2 of the shrimp. No gold on completion, just a reward bag, mine had 3 water walking potions (10min), a gold or so, and a grey item that sold for another gold.
I found the new fishing daily to be quite the opposite, on the PvP PTR the quest is to get a rare Golden Darter from rivers Terokkar, which I think I caught within 5 casts. The bag you get as a reward contained 10 +100 skill lures, and 3 gold.
Also, you can now catch Golden Darters in the rivers of Terokkar, instead of just Highland Schools, but perhaps this is just a bug.
I did the fishing daily on both the pve and pvp servers- the important thing when doing it is to fish in open water- the quest fish don't come out of pools.
Got a cooking recipe for +10 fishing beer out of one of the reward bags.

Reason: added image of drop
Any guilds planning on putting together some serious sunwell raids? My guild isn't exactly motivated to do it so it looks like I'll have to piggyback to see anything before it goes live.
The new nagrand daily involves spotting a vague, red cloud on a green background. I suggest anyone with red/green colorblindness skip this daily or do it with the help of a spotter.
His graphic settings look like they're pretty low, with spell detail probably min'd out.
Indeed. I already turned the quest in, but I'll turn graphics up to the max tomorrow and take another shot if someone else doesn't beat me to it. The clouds are somewhat easier to spot than the screenshot suggests; they move around and shift, so they kind of catch your eye. A little.

And yeah, I filed a suggestion that they change it to another color.

Hey Nano. But yes there is a lot of shadow and arcane damage going throughout the raid but it doesn't seem to be a resist check at all. Very fun fight from what we have seen but sadly the trash clear to him is quite long and contains a bugged final pack. For those attempting I suggest running through the final pack and fighting it on the other side of the entrance or you may find it respawning on you.

Is the trash farmable with less than 25 people, ala BT trash? Or does it take pretty much a full raid?

Trash was fairly easy but I can't see the initial protector being done without a large group due to his chain lightning type attack hitting 5 people for 5k every couple of seconds.

Fishing Darters out of Terokkar rivers and Lake Slimyr (sp?) has been around for awhile, in fact I prefer going to the lake in lieu of Highland pools due to the fact that you can cast anywhere and get a good amount of darters in a reasonable time period. You of course miss out on Furious Crawdads but my guild is in no danger of running out of tank food anytime soon.
Is the Golden Darter required for the quest different than those that can be fished currently? If not, doing the cooking quest and selecting the barrel of fish might finish the quest for you on a lucky day.
It seems the purpose of the Kalec fight is to kill the Dread Lord fighting his half elf form before the Dread Lord kills him and not Kalec's dragon form. When the Dread Lord dies hes probably released and then ends up aiding you.

all at once? or?
from the screens i see, it looks like you beat Kalec(dragon) to submission maybe?
