While I agree w/ your logic Ioguolo, I have absolutely no faith in that reversing. They've already headed down this road in all other content, and this looks like it will be the model going forward. Attunements early in release, to be removed over time to raise the number of those able to see the content prior to the next major content release. Even the Kara attunement is exceptionally weak, requiring no heroics, and not even have to complete a "full" dungeon, for the key fragments. This direction appears to be here to stay, by all accounts.
Like some others said, they are just there now for an initial speed bump when content released. Blizz has no intention of them being permanent, and in fact seem to be using them as a reverse incentive for more people to see end-game stuff (via their removal) as time goes by.
I personally agree with the Black Temple and Hyjal attunements being lifted, but ONLY if there's a large gear check in mid Sunwell, preferably the first or second unlocked Boss by rep.[...]
They said, the first boss is going to be a "gearcheck".
Who else in the raiding community agrees that they should not remove attunment, but keep the Kael and Vashj changes so that T6 guilds that need to attune new people can easily attune someone new to keep chugging alone in T6.
I didn't even notice the "BT and MH attunements listed" before I read the Vashj and Kael update, my first thought was "ah, that's a really nice solution". I figured it would allow BT guilds to attune new recruits in an hour or two, rather than wasting anything up to two raid nights, and guilds that were trying to make progress kills on Vashj/Kael (or attuning players after getting their first kill) would be able to skip the other bosses, and spend more time on them. I don't really see the point in allowing access to Vashj and Kael if attunements have been lifted completely, everyone's just gonna go straight for 3/5 3/9 and some easy epics.
Personally I hope that Brutalicus is first, is like Patchwerk, on meth, with nunchuks, and that the tears he generates will flood the Earth and purge it of casuals everywhere.
I say this only partially tongue-in-cheek.
'War' is too small a word for what I'm fighting. Like a candle in front of the whole burning Sun. Now, I am not going to die today. I have other projects, and other options.
The only good side of opening BT / Hyjal is the influx of epic gems on the ah since every scrub can now put a group together and go farm hyjal trash with the help of the npcs.
I don't even want to know what the effects will be of that legendary bow in arena. I'm definately one of the people who agree some pve items should give you a small edge in arena, but this one?

It doesn't use ammo. The innate DPS is to reflect the fact that you get no extra damage from ammo. The haste also duplicates quiver haste. It's not OP.
Those are some weird "boosts" on that bow IMHO. For one, why itemize a bonus that you "know" every hunter is going to have, ie: haste bonus on ammo-pouch. That line basically just says "nerfs ammo pouches". Additionally, all the other bonuses look awfully nice for some melee DPS'r to utilize, and guess what: no "HUNTER CLASS ONLY" tag on the weapon. Looks like just something for the guy w/ both Warglaives to add to his sheet so he can have 3 legendaries.
Granted, I'm a rogue so "yay for me", but objectively, the itemization of that thing just looks all wrong. I hope that doesn't turn out to be the final product really. Other than the raw DPS number on it, is it even that much better than the other hunter weapons out there, considering one of the bonuses is so iffy?

It doesn't use ammo so the hunter doesn't need the quiver - so it means they can have an extra bag slot without losing the quiver speed bonus.

No ammo used means no Quiver nessecary. Hunters get a bag slot back. 20 Inventory slots seems pretty legendary if you've been suffering with 76 bag slots for 2-3 years.

Hey, that doesn't say classes: hunter on it. I think it's a little premature to call it the "hunter legendary"
I believe they mentioned the legendary bow from Sunwell would not be Hunter only, but rather that it'd obviously benefit Hunters more so than any one else. The screenshot fits with that description, if it is indeed legitimate.
Wow, so hunters who farm the absolute bleeding edge of BC raiding can get another bag slot free : ) It's about time they did something like that, although I will say rather wistfully that I wish that I wish that a change like that would be more accessible to a larger % of the population.
My question is regarding the new badge loot and the new gems; are there links for those items floating around yet?
EDIT: I'm also VERY curious about the spirit -> int change; are there any numbers floating around or a more in-depth explination of how they're working this?
I see what you're saying Arfa, but let's face it, by the time a hunter has played to the level required to get that thing, it's pretty safe to assume he HAS been using ammo pouches for a long, long time. So now as a bonus to a legendary item you basically are giving "inventory room" vice combat bonuses? Give me a break!
If they wanna give inventory room, then make a legendary tailoring bag pattern .... heh.

True but it would really be absurd not to give something like that to your hunters. Though I suppose if its common enough eventually rogues and such could grab it as a "stat" stick too :P
What I'm wondering is if you can still use arrows and ramp it up to like 200 dps? It says nothing about not using ammo on there, just that it doesn't stack with quiver haste. Which to me can be taken as you can have a bag with arrows in it rather than a restricted quiver? Very, very awesome if so.
I think it's a nice tongue-in-cheek sort of bonus. And let's be realistic... the bow will probably be bested before the first level 80 raid instance If you have the bow you will have already cleared all of the PvE content in TBC... does it really matter if the combat bonuses aren't insanely good?
Well, presuming that it is most interesting indeed. Endless Quiver tied to a specific item huh? Tig is going to wake up screaming once that sinks in fully.
It's a nice idea in many ways though and sure will make it a popular legendary. Free up 20 slots and save me a chunk od gold each raid? Ok, I'm all over that.
Then what happens when WotLK comes out? When you get a new bow in the expansion you're just going to lose that bag slot again.
Granted, there's plenty of time for things to change, but I fail to see the "Legendary" in earning a bag slot, only to lose it next time you want to upgrade your ranged weapon.
