The big thing it will impact is heal-drinking, and i imagine that's the reason for it. There's no other way to really reasonably fix the server/client lag that allows it - this change makes it so can't just sip every time you get out of combat briefly.

Yeah but as pointed, it doesn't affect druids too much, and NE priests either(but those are more rare). I mean, you might get less, but it's easier as a druid than any other class to gain enough distance to be able to get at least 2 ticks of your drinks in arenas. They should just have went for an arena ruleset and a "normal" ruleset, where in arena it works without the fast reversed ramp up stuff but just plain, 10% first tick, 20%second tick and so on, making it not really good at all to drink, but still possible if your opponents suck.
Overall sounds like an unneeded change, at least for pve, and misplaced for pvp.
Same thing really with the spirit change. Is it supposed to actually make spirit and int better for druids and priests, and not for anyone else? Besides maybe arcane mages, is there anyone at all that benefits from this? And were holy priests and resto druids the classes that really needed another mana regen boost? Mind you I'm not calling for nerfs or anything, I'm a druid, but hell I can count the number of times I run out of mana every week on one hand, and probably one finger.
It sounds quite misplaced again, maybe they should make it more class specific if they wanted to buff mana regen on certain classes. But well, first draft of changes, lots of time on PTR, nothing's too important for now, doubt it ends up going live this way.

Of course, the nicer fix would be to give new/different food/water that works like this but is usable in arenas (while normal is not). This would mean another 3 spells cluttering the spellbooks of mages, but being how I'm not a mage I care less about that.

Drysc said that it wont have any difference in non-arena evironments because after 6 seconds or so you would have regened the same amount of mana as before except the majority of it towards the last few ticks instead of the start. In his reply he said a mana tick every 2 seconds, so in that first 6 seconds it's...
[2 seconds in] 1st: no mana
[4 seconds in] 2nd: normal + 66%
[6 seconds in] 3rd: normal + 33%
[8 seconds in] 4th onwards: normal
Also did Magisters Terrance today, had this 20 slot bag drop off trash and the pet off Kael (both normal mode) - haven't seen the bag posted on any site yet.

I don't think we'll be able to see this too easily until all the combat log changes have gone through. Unless you'd like to comb through your combat log for each one, it's probably best to wait.

The Nagrand quest isn't nearly as bad for colorblind people as posters here have implied. Here's a screenshot (with the relevant part totally desaturated next to the colored version). It's got a big honking dark shadow underneath and is pretty glowy. I always saw the shadow before I saw the colored bit, making me feel that the "red/green" thing is pretty irrelevant.

The red gas clouds appear to have been significantly buffed since their first incarnation and are now much easier to see compared to the first screenshots of them.

'War' is too small a word for what I'm fighting. Like a candle in front of the whole burning Sun. I told you. This is bigger than a war. Now, I am not going to die today. I have other projects, and other options.
You can come with me. I can protect you.

Seems like the first 3 bosses will drop the 3 new tokens..if Kalecgos does, presumably Brutallus and the 3rd boss do as well.
As far as Brutallus is concerned, well, lets just say those Teron WWS races come in handy.

Have any of you who are reporting "Drinking on test is working as intended!" actually tested it?
I can tell you from a few hours in SW25, it is NOT functioning as it's supposed to be. I'll get a fraps and bug report it tomorrow, I was too tired tonight, but it is very spotty. Most of the time, drinking does nothing for the entire duration of the buff. It's easy to tell when it kicks in after the first 2-3 ticks, but clicking through 5 with no effect is a bit annoying. I'm sure they'll fix it, but really.

So is the Essence of the Immortals simply a repeatable quest to gain raid materials/consumables and patterns? I had been speculating that it was a progression enforcer and would drop from Illidan, requiring someone on the server to have killed him before moving past Brutallus in the Sunwell. Seeing that it drops off each of the first two bosses, and remembering that the quest NPC had the blue "repeatable quest" question mark, is it now just a nifty way to alleviate some raiding costs and speed the acquisition of the new crafting patterns?

They aren't AQ40ized - it looks like it's still possible to get 2 or 3 of the same token.

The question is, is it always one of each token group or is it just any random 3?

Could it be possible that "all" raid bosses drop the token which would make the opening of the 2nd part of the bosses that much faster ? Because on lower pop server it could take up to 34 weeks to open up the 3 last bosses in sunwell.

I look forward to the week we get 24 Vanquisher tokens.
And my mage alt gets 8/8 t6 from that week.

The quest text says they drop from "only the most powerful beings of this world." Maybe Kael/Vashj/Illidan/Archimonde?

Possible explanation as to why Vashj and Kael are now able to engaged before completing the rest of the instance?

I believe this might be exactly the case and of course, including all of the bosses from Sunwell Plateau. This also seems to give more reason as to why they made Kael/Vashj accesible without doing the bosses before them, but we shall see soon enough.
Regardless this will still spell trouble to those guilds who find themselves very far ahead of the general population on a low population server.
Still, it will be fun to see how guilds across all servers will act in getting the server to acquire these items. Whether that be pushing guilds through or splitting their raids into halfs to do twice the content that they can do (example being: half mains and half alts in two seperate raids downing Kael/Vashj).
Edit: On our server if every guild cleared everything that they can currently clear in one raid week and all of the above bosses do indeed drop these items then we would be acquiring 38 every week (not counting the sunwell bosses). This taking a grand total of 2 1/2 - 3 weeks.

Hmm at this rate I would not be surprised if Gruul & Magtheridon dropped Essence of the Immortals too.

Eh. That comment is a tad foolish. I would hope Bilzzard wouldn't go as far as to make all of those rewards (Some very nice BT / Sunwell gems and Patterns) so easily available by killing such entry level bosses. I think Kael and Vashj will round out the bottom curve for who drops the Essences. Again, assumption here, but I think that would be more in line.
